Behold, the serene earth, while God for His testimony
Verse 1
Behold, the serene earth, while God for His testimony Is burning in His heart; how anxious He has been! Brothers, sisters, should we care for ourselves only And still in comfort live, thus left behind the scene?
Verse 2
Comes the appointed time; God is here to choose us again, All churches to revive, now the time is at hand! Brothers, sisters, this precious moment we should gain; With Him cooperate, take heed the time be spent.
Verse 3
The Lord has promised us, at Jerusalem He would call And abide with us still, and bring prosperity. My own city, shall like a village without walls. Full of inhabitants, scarcely a room there'll be.
Verse 4
His work God has begun, through circumstances He effects A quake among nations to lift our heads up high. And we declare: The world and universe so decked, They belong to the Lord; Satan can't occupy.
Verse 5
We have the word of God, it's not our might that we depend, Not our own pow'r rely, but the Spirit of God. O great mountain, " Don't scare us with your false pretense, For who art thou to boast, but soon we'll find you not."
Verse 6
The searching seven eyes, when plummets in our hands they saw, How joyful God will be; other things He won't mind. Glory, glory, with this foundation laid below, The temple shall be built, and in our hands shall find!
