I anticipated the dawn and cried out; I hoped in Your words, I hoped in Your words. My eyes anticipated the night watches, That I might muse, muse upon Your word.

Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Jehovah, Hear my voice according to Your ordinances enliven me.

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path, A light to my path.

You are my hiding place and shield, My hiding place and shield; In Your word do I hope.

Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to unjust gain. Turn my eyes from beholding vanity, Enliven me in Your ways.
