Verse 1

If from the right path I'd depart, The ease of life take part; I would remember Christ my Lord, The suff'rings He doth afford.

Verse 2

I now the world have given up, All its relations cut; Though narrow be the path I tread, But I'm just here as guest.

Verse 3

Let worldly people all detest, I seek His smiling face; The crowds delight to outward tastes, But I desire His praise.

Verse 4

My heart's desire's not to be great, Nor fortunes for my fate; I'd humbly serve the Lord today, And gain His "nods" that day.

Verse 5

I daily gaze now at the light, From judgement seat so bright; May all my walk and works withstand The test of fire by then.

Verse 6

Let all the people strive for fames, More glory, wealth and friends; Let them obtain profit and gain, And all the praise of men.

Verse 7

But I'd remain though poor and sore, I dare not ask for more; My only hope is to pursue My Lord till death ensue.

Verse 8

I know the Lord while on the earth, Gained only pain and death; I look forward to nothing else, ' Cept for Him I'll be less.

Verse 9

My glory is in the future, Now I need to endure; I will not take a step ahead, To gain blessings on earth.

Verse 10

I'll gain the crown in future day, He'll wipe my tears away; Today our Lord still tarries on, I'll be faithful and walk on.

Lumihis lang nang bahagya, Magnasa'ng ginhawa; Nguni't Panginoong Kristo, Nagdusa nang husto.

Verse 2

Binitiwan ko nang mundo, Kaugnayan nito; Bagama't makitid daan, Manlalakbay lamang.

Verse 3

Mainis man tagamundo, Ngiti Mo'y 'king gusto; Anyong-labas nais nila, Ako nama'y Iyong siya.

Verse 4

Madakila di ko hangad, Ni ngayo'y umunlad; Mababang paglingkuran Ka, Premyo'y Iyong apruba.

Verse 5

Nagmamatyag sa luklukan, D'hil sa kahatulan; Nawa ay buhay ko't gawa, Sa Kanya'y papasa.

Verse 6

Hayaan kong makilala, Yumaman ang iba; Tamuhin glorya't kai-bigan, Maging kapurihan.

Verse 7

Nguni't kahit maging dukha, May dusa't ulila; Puso'y maging tapat pa rin Iyong landas tahakin.

Verse 8

' Pagka't Poon nang sa lupa'y Minsan ding namatay; Sa Kanya lamang umasa, Wala nang iba pa.

Verse 9

Sa darating aking glorya; Ngayo'y tiis, dusa; Di ko unahan Pangino'n Sa pagpala ngayon.

Verse 10

Putong aking tatamuhin, Luha'y papahirin; Bagama't Siya'y maantala, ' Ko'y maging tapat pa.
