In solitude lived I in time past,
Verse 1
In solitude lived I in time past, My own spir'tuality asked; Hoping that I might stand before Him, Thus gain His pleasure I deemed. Though tasting a bit of its sweetness, Still the loneliness could feel; It is enough the loss I've suffered, And be thus never I will.
Verse 2
I've found you all in Christ who led me, As if my dear Lord you'd be; I've got a home which I'm confided, And with the riches I'm fed. Through you with might I am empowered, Unnoticed an inch I've gained; I will unite forever with thee, My life for thee is maintained.
