Jesus Lord, I'm waiting here,
Verse 1
Jesus Lord, I'm waiting here, To be raptured by Thee; ' Part from Thy coming back, Lord, There's naught that's sweeter be. I now hope for Thy return, For I know Thou art nigh; I can sense Thy presence Lord, Around this heart of mine.
Verse 2
In the deepest part of me, Thy voice I've heard it plain; I thank Thee for telling me, All concerning Thy plan. Thou wilt come back very soon, Thy appearing real fast! Grace wilt no longer be giv'n, Foes subdued to the last!
Verse 3
Lord, cut all "clutches" off me, Completely free I'll be; Free from all things that bind me, Closely following Thee. I will drop the "good" things, Let my heart be relieved; Lest on Thy coming back, Lord, I cannot freely leave.
Verse 4
Constant watchful and alert, My heart's desire be this; Always to the spirit turn, Then rapture I'll not miss. Lest I doze and fall asleep, I'm not aware a bit! Thou wilt leave me here on earth, Thinking that I'm not fit!
Verse 5
Oh my heart this is truly A serious advice heed; All the things that I e'er love, I'll leave behind indeed. Love the Lord wholeheartedly, Desiring Him to see; I can leave all things behind, Any time He calls me.
Verse 6
Though the battle's raging on, The strength of Satan fierce! In a short while I'll ascend, There is nothing to fear! Though each day darkness increase, Full redemption we'll see, Since our Lord will come back soon, We now wait patiently.
Verse 7
May Thou Lord be my one love, My one thought be of Thee; Surpassing all earthly bribe, My heart with Him one be. Loosed from all the worldly ties, Come my Lord, hear my plea! My heart yearns in heaven be, My Lord, my love to see!
