Oh, Thy love that hast come to meet us,
Beginning-note
(Tune: Itik-itik)
Verse 1
Oh, Thy love that hast come to meet us, when we were all fallen and in sin; Oh, Thy love that hast attracted us, giving us a new life from within. Wonderful! It is Thy love which gives us a new life to begin. Oh, Thy love has changed my stony heart, my stubborn, cold, and indiff'rent heart; Oh, Thy love hast giv'n me a new heart, that I from Thee never to depart.
Verse 2
It is Thy love that daily sustains, causing us to ever onward go; It is Thy love that daily maintains, causing us from vain dreams to forego. Wonderful! It is Thy love which gives us strength as we onward go. It is Thy love that caused Thee to be the Spirit that lives inside of me; It is Thy love that worketh in me, enabling me to labor on Thee.
Verse 3
It is Thy love that worketh on me, cutting, molding Thy image to be; Thy love measures my circumstances, to break me that life may flow from me. Wonderful! It is Thy love working in me in manifold ways. Why do I feel at home in the church? 'cause Thy love hast done it all for me. Why do I enjoy at home so much? 'cause Thy loving hand is real to me.
Verse 4
It is Thy love that transformeth me, this earthen vessel, Thy glory see; It is Thy love that gives hope to me, to be raptured and become like Thee. Wonderful! It is Thy love that changes me, brings Thee back to me. Lord, I don't know, nor can I relate, the preciousness of Thy love to me; Lord, in me Thy love doth saturate, that my whole life may be lost in Thee.
