When you look at the book of Revelation, it's a fearful book if the Holy Spirit makes it real to you. And in Revelation chapter 5, God is setting forth who's on the throne of the universe. And you see, not only in 5, but in chapter 7 and chapter 20, what's going on around that throne. God always wants us to see his throne, to take a look at him, because in his light we see light. And without his perspective, we don't understand any events of earth. You've got to be a see-througher and not just a look at her. You've got to learn to let God show you what he's really doing and what looks like a tragedy. And so when you see in Revelation 5, I would read that and say, look, all of heaven is on their faces. They're before the throne of the lamb. This lamb that looks so weak, this word for the lamb that's just a precious tender lamb, but he has all power, all knowing, and all presence. The eyes and the horns and all the spirit sent forth into all. This lamb is the Lord Jesus with marks of Calvary. And so I think the lesson that I would learn if I saturate and soak my heart in that is to get in there and say, Lord, what is the atmosphere of your throne room? This is my eternal home. This is where I'm getting ready for. You didn't go just to prepare a place for me. You're preparing me for a place. And you know, there are a lot of people who won't be very happy. They say, oh, it makes me nervous when people are falling down and worshiping or raising their hands. It makes me nervous. And I say, wait a minute. Are you saved? Yes. Are you going to heaven? Yes. It's going to make you nervous because you're going to be pulling back. But see the music I listen to, does the music that I enjoy and listen to fit into that atmosphere in Revelation chapter 5? Is the attention of my life on the things that those intelligent beings around the throne are paying attention to? Are the smacking melody in my heart, by thy blood, you have redeemed us to God at every kindred and tribe and territory and tongue and glory and honor and majesty and power and might be under the lamb and all the living creatures and all the others say, amen. You may fall down. That's the atmosphere I want in this throne room right in here. There's a throne that God's put there. And he says, I want you to let me be on that. But it's your choice. I don't know why he wants us to walk by faith. That's a sovereign choice. What does faith do? Faith works by love. God wants us to have the integrity once we come to know him, to choose to let him be God. And that then means on his terms, match it up with Revelation 5, when he has to this man while I look, the one who trembles at my word and is of a meek and a contrite spirit and broken. Oh, thus saith the Lord, the Holy one that lives on high, the high and lofty one. I dwell in this high and holy place with him that is of a broken and contrite heart to revive the spirit of the contrite one. So Lord, am I wanting you to do this in me? I learned from Revelation 5 and all those poignant parts in that book that if I'm going to be in tune with him, I got to be in tune with his throne room.
