A true revival requires that men be restored to the position for which man was created, allowing God to have his way with them.
Andrew Murray emphasizes that for a true revival to elevate the church, it is crucial for individuals to return to their original purpose of allowing God to work within them. He asserts that recognizing God as the source of all creation and redemption leads to a life that honors and glorifies Him. This restoration enables believers to trust that through God, all things are possible within them as well. The sermon calls for a deep understanding of God's presence and work in our lives.
Text
In a revival which is truly to lift the church to its true position, making men say, 'God is in you of a truth', nothing is so essential as that they be restored to the position for which man was created, that God be allowed to have his way with them, and to work in them all that is pleasing in his sight. As they know the God, of whom are all things, both in creation and redemption, they will honour and glorify him by the trust that through him also, in them too, are all things.
