God lives and works today, and there is nothing more wonderful than to be drawn into His royal service, to be able to live and work for His Kingdom. This brings ultimate satisfaction in life, for which all of us are longing. Today, a testimony from the life of Basilia Schlenk will tell us more about what it means to be in the service of the King.

When I was young and attending Bible school, one of my teachers had a favorite saying. There is no greater honor for a person than to be called by God into His service. This saying went deep into my heart.

Then later, God actually did call me into His service. When I thought back to my teacher's parole, I realized that my happiness over her words was no longer the same. No, now it had become a song of jubilation in my heart.

I can serve Him who is the King of kings, who will come again in glory, who created heaven and earth, who is greater than everything, whose wisdom is beyond our understanding, and whose power reaches to the ends of the universe. I could scarcely grasp the wonder that sinners should be called to be co-workers with God. And in my great joy, I wrote a little booklet about this.

How amazing that we sinners should be granted such an honor as to be called to work with and for God. And yet, even harder to comprehend were Jesus' own words in John 12, verse 26. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

Our service is so precious to our Lord Jesus that when He returns, all those who have served Him single-heartedly will be able to reign with Him over all the nations of the world. Who will rejoice with me today that we have such a Lord and King, and that we've found Him in a time so corrupted by deceivers, false leaders and teachers, and anti-Christian powers? We have been privileged to find Him and to give Him our lives. Yes, and whoever hasn't done this yet may do so in this hour.

Perhaps you are the one Jesus is looking for right now, to whom He is calling, Come, follow me. Will you still hesitate? In view of such a Lord, how could you even pause to think about what it might cost you? I've experienced that no matter what it costs us, it's far too little compared with the overwhelming joy, honor and glory to be allowed to serve such a King. The more it costs us, the more our sacrifice is worth to Him, and the more far-reaching and precious the fruit of our work will be.

O make me Thine, my Savior, Lord most holy, that I may only live to give Thee glory. O make me Thine, O make me Thine, Take all I love and treasure, my life, my honor, if that brings Thee pleasure and shows my love. Yes, make me Thine.
