"THE SURE WORD OF JEHOVAH"

I. THE PROPHESY AGAINST TYRE.

A. To be conquered by more than one nation. verse 3.

B. Nebuchadnezzar would be first to conquer.

1. Notice the details given of the battle.

C. Nebuchadnezzar would not spoil her riches.

D. The city would become like the top of a rock.

E. It would become a place for spreading fishing nets.

F. The stones and timbers would be placed in the sea.

G. Other cities would shake with fear at the fall of Tyre.

H. The old city would never be rebuilt.

II. WHAT DO THE HISTORY BOOKS TELL US ABOUT TYRE.

A. Nebuchadnezzar besieged the city for thirteen years, before

taking it.

Egypt, he demanded Tyre to capitulate.

IV. THE CERTAINTY OF GOD'S WORD - "God is not a man that He should lie..."

Numbers 23:15.

A. God has promised to cleanse me of all my sin.

B. He has promised salvation and eternal life.

C. He has promised me a part in the heavenly kingdom.

D. The certainty of God's word brings me great comfort, hope, a

joy.

E. For some of you the certainty of God's word should be cause for

fear and trembling.

F. For God's prophetic word declares, "and whosoever was not found

written in the Book of Life shall be cast into the lake of

fire." This is the second death.

There is another crowd of whosoever's in the scripture -

"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

You are in one or the other - it might not matter much to you, but it will

be a matter of life and death then.
