Matthew 27:62

Chuck Smith's sermon on Matthew 27:62 explores the futile attempts of the authorities to seal Jesus in the tomb and the implications for believers today.
Chuck Smith discusses the futile attempts of the religious leaders to seal Jesus in the tomb, driven by their fear of losing authority and exposure of their hypocrisy. Despite their efforts to secure the tomb with a large stone and a guard, their plans ultimately failed in the face of divine power. Smith draws parallels to modern society, where people still attempt to suppress the truth of Christ to maintain their lifestyles, using arguments and theories to entomb Him again. He emphasizes that no matter how secure they think they are, God's power will always prevail, reminding us of the imminent return of Christ.
