Full Transcript

The conditions of national revival are given in this fourteenth verse, which is one of the best loved, most often quoted, and least obeyed promises of the Bible. Verse fourteen is the greatest text concerning God's prescription for and description of revival. It is a seemingly simple statement, but it is staggering in its implications.

It is God's final and finished formula on the subject of revival. Here is a recipe for a spiritual awakening. Verse fourteen.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Let's have just a moment of prayer, shall we? Blessed Lord, this is thy word, and we pray that as we speak of this thy word, thou wouldst come to us and touch all our hearts this morning in tenderness and in love. Be with us in Jesus' name.

Amen.
