David Wilkerson on Weird Manifestations

She said, I don't know what to do. Many of our church don't know what to do. We were having wonderful services.

The Spirit of the Lord was with us. But our pastor thought there was more. The church wasn't growing fast enough.

And he heard of a revival. He went to this revival. He came home three months ago.

He got up to preach. And he started to laugh. For half an hour.

He couldn't control himself. He just laughed and laughed. There was no preaching.

And he told us, this is a new move with the Holy Ghost. We went next week. Sunday morning.

He gets up. And he starts uncontrollably laughing and shaking. No preaching.

Three months. No preaching. Just laughing.

And he calls it a move of God. Let me ask you a question. The Holy Ghost who wrote this book who said the truth sets you free would he cause a minister to laugh so he cannot preach this word? We have ministries now.

Bark like dogs. Make animal noises. I have a tape of a prosperity preacher.

I'm not naming any names. I'm not putting these men down. I'm not talking about a Biafra priesthood.

The priest is men. Refuses to reprove sin. One of the pastors said, put away your Bible.

It has nothing to say to you. Another. The minister is on his hands and knees.

He's like a dog running around barking. Another is on his hands and knees. They have a dog chain around his neck.

And his wife is leading him around up the aisle singing, where he leads me I will follow. They have another tape. The pastor is preaching.

People are running up stuffing his pockets with money. Money pouring into his pocket. And the new doctrine in the United States from the success gospel is this.

If you want to be blessed you find the most blessed preacher you find the richest pastor that's a sign God is using him and blessing him and if you want to be blessed you give your money not to the church but you give the money to the man who is most blessed so you have the best chance to be blessed. I have another tape. People send this from all over the United States.

And I watch it. I say it's crazy. Where does it end? Where's the spiritual discernment? Here's a man who is very well known and he's walking through the congregation hissing at people like a snake and they start wiggling on the floor like a snake about 50 people wiggling under the seats and everybody is running around singing a song run for the money the faster you run the more money you get.

How do you cost so? Charismatic. Get the picture. People down here barking somebody hissing preacher trying to preach throwing money at him dumping money in their pockets people running around they call it the Holy Ghost.

I weep because people come from Russia the gospel is here some of you may be in it you may be angry at me right now but I'm going to tell you something that's not what I read about my Jesus. I don't see altar calls. I don't see people weeping for sin.

When I'm in Times Square Church and I look over here and I see seven men dressed like women transvestites hungry for God and I look over here and there's a young movie star she's going to commit suicide in two days jump out of the 11th floor window and I see a CEO the head of a president of a corporation and I see a CEO he's lost his business he's on the streets now he was a multimillionaire cocaine cost him everything and he's on the streets he's filthy and I look over here and I see a 15 year old boy his brother's dying of AIDS I don't see anything to laugh about I can't laugh at that when they make the Holy Ghost look like a fool when they make the Holy Ghost look like a fool the Holy Ghost comes to convict of sin and righteousness and judgment
