God's correction is a sign of His love and delight for us, and we can trust that He is working everything out for our good.
David Wilkerson emphasizes the profound love and delight God has for His children, encouraging believers to understand that even in times of testing and discipline, they are cherished by the Lord. He reassures that God's correction is a sign of His love, urging listeners to embrace this truth to find peace and assurance in their circumstances. Wilkerson highlights that recognizing God's love leads to the understanding that all things are working together for their good.
Text
I pray diligently over these messages, and while praying about what the Lord would have me write in this one, the Holy Spirit whispered clearly: "Encourage God's people. Tell them how much they are loved by the Lord and how greatly he delights in his children."
I believe this is a special word for many reading this message. You need to hear deep within, at this very hour, that the Lord is going to keep you, and that in your present hour of testing he delights in you. Here is the text I believe you need to receive as a personal word from him right now:
"My son (daughter), despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: for whom the Lord correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth" (Proverbs 3:11-12).
Even if what you are going through right now is loving discipline, remember it is a sure sign your Father loves you and delights in you. If you will receive this word - that he deeply loves you and rejoices over you - you will know all things are working out for your good, and that your steps are truly being ordered by him.
