Our life, our theology, our mission, our church, everything in our life should surround around the person of Jesus Christ. Our faith is a person. It's Jesus.
And Jesus Christ is the message that we need to hear. You know, I want you to ponder for a moment, what if Jesus really meant every single word he said? How would that change you today? I mean, think about it. If we look at his, I mean, God came to earth and preached a sermon in the Sermon on the Mount.
And as he preached the sermon, imagine if we were to go out of the way for a moment, if you can imagine for a moment, if we were going to go out of our way and to create for ourselves a church that does just the opposite of everything that Jesus taught us in his teachings. I'm afraid that that would look a little too similar to the modern American church and perhaps Canadian church. I don't know how it is here.
The message that we need is the same message, Jesus Christ. And he has a message. He has a cure for humanity.
And I believe that if we take his teachings and take what he has given to us for ourselves, for our families, for our church, and for the world, we will be changed, our churches will be changed, and the world will be changed. I believe the most important message is still the message of Jesus Christ and what he has for the church and for the world today.
