A Little Child Shall Lead Them

A child's genuine love for Jesus can inspire adults to re-examine their own relationship with God and lead them to Christ.
D.L. Moody shares a touching story of a child who, with earnestness and simplicity, expressed her love for Jesus and encouraged a friend to love Him too. This innocent yet profound interaction moved an adult listener to reach out to someone in need of spiritual guidance for the first time. Moody emphasizes the powerful impact that children can have in leading others to Christ through their genuine faith and love. The sermon illustrates how the pure hearts of children can inspire adults to embrace their faith and share it with others. Ultimately, it reinforces the biblical truth that 'a little child shall lead them.'

Text

A little child at one of the meetings was seen talking so earnestly to a companion that a lady sat by her to hear what she was saying, and found that the dear child was telling how much Jesus loved her, and how she loved Him, and asked her little companion if she would not love Him too. The lady was so much impressed by the child's words that she spoke to an anxious soul that very night for the first time in her life. And so "a little child shall lead them."
