Hebrews 10:32-11:3

Don McClure · 41:28

The sermon explores the evolution of faith from simple and zealous beginnings to the development of real faith through trials, patience, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
In this sermon, the preacher emphasizes the importance of believing in the first four words of the Bible: 'In the beginning, God.' He argues that God created a world that showcases his genius, power, and glory, and that this creation is unique and irreplaceable. The preacher contrasts the Big Bang Theory, which suggests that the universe came from nothing and exploded, with the biblical account of God speaking creation into existence. He encourages listeners to have faith in God's ability to provide for them, reminding them that if God did not spare his own son, he will surely give them all things. The preacher also highlights the spiritual senses that God imparts to believers, allowing them to perceive and experience God's presence and guidance in their lives.

Call to remembrance the former days in which ye after were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions partly while she were made a gazing stock both by the reproaches and the afflictions and Partly while ye became companions of them that were so used For ye have compassion on me in my bonds and ye took joyfully the spoiling of your goods Knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance Cast not away therefore your confidence Which hath great recompense of reward for he of need of patience that after ye have done the will of God you might receive the promise For yet a little while and he shall come that shall come will come in will not tarry Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure in him But we are not of them that draw back under perdition but of them that believe to the saving of the soul Now faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen for by it the elders obtained a good report Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God so that all things which are seen Were not made of things which do appear Father we thank you for your word and we ask that today that you would just take it Lord to our hearts our lives to bless us Strengthen us encourage us and Lord as individuals we give our lives and a fresh to you and as a body Lord We're yours. I just thank you Lord. It's so wonderful to realize how you love the church and gave yourself for it There's nothing that you love and treasure more and want to watch over and so we just commit all of these things to you And we ask your work and your glory in them in Jesus name.

Amen I have not won a title messages particularly but just in my own notes my own thoughts. I have Entitled this and message this morning the evolution of faith the dictionary defines evolution as a gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form Now, please don't understand me at all to suggest I'm speaking of anything in terms of evolution as far as creation is concerned But I do believe that there is such a thing as a gradual process in which something changes into a different and more complex or better form Particularly when we're watching a person grow into spiritual maturity or their faith grow There's something in the spiritual life that our faith so often it begins, you know at one place and then be it ever So weak as the disciples once said Lord we believe but help our unbelief, you know We really are starting to connect with you in some wonderful ways But help us to really connect her to grow More and more and and as he points out here in a sense in these verses that we're looking at this morning I believe faith so often it starts off to me almost as a zealous faith That is as he says here in verse 32 He says you're called to remembers the former days in which after you were illuminated you were endured a great fight of afflictions partly while she were made a gazing stock both by reproaches and afflictions and partly while you became Companions of them that were so used for you had compassion on me and my bonds and you took joyfully the spoiling of your goods Knowing in yourselves that she have in heaven a better and an enduring Substance but here initially as now the writer of Hebrews is Writing to these Hebrew Christians who had come to Christ going through a certain amount of pressure You know to go back to the synagogue back to Jewish tradition back to the law back to Moses back to the sacrifices Back to the priesthood back to churches. They kind of knew it before Here he's wanting to give them great Admonition a great exhortation the sense he says remember what it was like when you were first converted to Christ when you First came to him as he's talking to these Hebrew believers He says, you know, there were times when you were a gazing stock Remember when you are willing there in a sense to be gazed at that as a spectacle.

That's what it means a gazing stock Somebody just Wow Look at that weird person and and he reminds them He says you remember you went through some very tough times But even then as he says here you took joyfully the spoiling of your goods Knowing in yourselves that you haven't had in heaven a better and an enduring substance Remember when you just came to Christ and you just kind of threw everything out there for him You didn't care what people thought Anybody you could do anything for he says you came and you gave and of your own goods You know knowing that who cares heavens was life is all about and these Jews had come to Christ They'd left the synagogue. They'd left the priesthood. They'd left the sacrifices Probably much as many of us I think they probably came to Christ the same way that many of us it came to Christ ourselves In the sense that their life in the synagogue is they had kind of known it and had met their needs They were spiritually empty and hungry They watched all of this stuff going on with the priests and the sacrifices and the stuff there, but their own heart It was still empty.

It was still more needed. They needed power in their life. They needed love They needed a lifting of their own guilt just like all of us were when we came to Christ ourselves and At that time some Christian came along began to preach to them Share with them how Christ was the fulfillment of all of these things That they needed to give their life to Jesus Christ And when they were told about his love his redemptive work on the cross their sins But we forgiven that they could receive Christ and be changed and have a home in heaven And they just as you just as me we opened our hearts responded Yes, I believe that and they did that and they had responded their lives were changed and with all this excitement again They became a gazing stock they gave and they had this wonderful zeal But so often with as with maybe with us as well a zeal perhaps without much knowledge I would imagine they were like a lot of us in the sense at least me when I know when I came to Christ I didn't you know, it wasn't something as a result of a lot of really deep thinking I'm gonna go into the really study the Bible and go through the languages and I'm gonna really evaluate You know the truth of the Bible and do all of this, you know Evaluation and things there was just something that happened with me when I got saved That it was nothing other than the Bible a sense as the Bible says the Holy Spirit.

He draws us The Holy Spirit works within our heart Causes us to know that Christ loves us gave as the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that Jesus is the Christ son of the Living God and that we can have life through his name and something just moved upon my heart as I suppose it did upon their hearts And they came to Christ they received him and I don't know about you I certainly remember well the early days as a Christian. There's a sense of fearlessness a holy Boldness be a gazing stock don't really care Boldness with anybody anywhere anyhow, and I'm sure that's how they were and that's how faith so often begins Be it ever so simple ever so humble zealously, you know simply driven To do some pretty bold things. That's what they had done and he's saying remember those days don't ever forget them He wants to call to remembrance as he says the former days in which you after you were illuminated you were endured All sorts of things as he goes on and shares with him But the point is is that this point obviously with them as it is so often with us.

It's a young faith It's a simple faith. It's a zealous faith It's an exciting faith, but it's it's just starting and it's just sort of being tested. You remember those days I'm sure you do I certainly do Oftentimes we see in our own children, you know And they go to Sunday school and you you pick them up and they've got their little you know Bible stories and they've got their little finger paints or whatever and they got their memory verses and they sing the songs and They go to vacation Bible school and they love Jesus and they pray and you just look all look at this my child I'm just so excited and you see do you believe? Oh, yes, mommy I do, you know, and it's quite it's quite wonderful.

It's quite refreshing, but it's also quite untested and It's wonderful and zealous and we think oh great. My child's just rock-solid What's this and then then teenagers hit, you know or something and you wonder where did that child go? But the because then some of the tests come On the road. This is a road.

Everybody's got to take we all go through it in a tent in a sense to having real faith Biblical faith so often again, it starts with this young this innocent this precious Zealous sort of a faith, but then it gets tested for as he says in verse 35 He says cast not away Therefore your confidence in which he hath great recompense of reward for ye have need of patience That after ye have done the will of God you might receive the promise for yet a little while He shall come that shall come will come and will not tarry now the just shall live by faith But if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure with him You see here then after this and with them the trials really began to settle in They began to realize some of the real pressure that was there this young zeal and stuff But now it's continuously being pressured. It's being tested and it is so often You know you watch as you grow there with this innocent faith, but you watch somebody off they go to school and where there's supposedly Presumed to be very intelligent highly educated teachers Professors, you know that essentially want to attack the very fundamentals Faith begin to hammer in things like evolution and over, you know Trillions of years or something and they begin to mock, you know all the Bible stories almost say come now How could you you you believe somebody opened the Red Sea you believe in a flood? Universal flood you believe that some guy named Noah got two of every animal and put him on this boat that he built Took him off on this thing and you believe that manna came out of heaven You believed guy turned water to blood you believe that you know dust were turned to lice You believe that plagues were bought brought upon the world like this You believe that a man was actually in the belly of a fish for three days and then he spit him out on the ground simple faith kind of struggles with all of these mockings all of these scientific things that are supposedly Thought to be put at them and then you add that with just the trials of growing up Anyway, the trials of really losing your friends as the world begins to go a different direction Struggling in the areas of your own personal growth your own surrender your own obedience Struggling with your own temptations and as he says here there is this temptations He says to draw back and as he calls it here and don't he says don't draw back I don't have no pleasure and he's just cast not away your confidence here. You see they're under pressure here It's being tested their faith these things that's so innocently so wonderfully so preciously They just grabbed on to lock stock and barrel now one by one.

They're being attacked One by one they're being whittled away at one by one these things going on and to me It's not so much the real issue when I look at the Bible and I look at the way God is It's not an issue of so much of man attacking on the outside or we ourselves Actually kind of struggling on the inside with our own surrender With our own convictions as it is so often as the writer here of Hebrews says in verse 36 He says for you have need of patience He says now faith, you know that simple faith One of the things that it's got to go through to be Really built that it has to go through what he calls patience and the word patience in Greek It means abiding in Christ under pressure It means there that that a while that now God allows pressure to be applied upon the human heart young precious innocent all believing faith zealous faith simple faith God allows the tensions and the pressures and the struggles and the temptations and the distractions of the world and other things to come and to accuse it and to ridicule it in the market and to test it where God wants there and his But with faith to be something that it has become the very center Foundational deepest aspect of the human soul and to do that he's got to take it beyond this young innocent untried untested unthought-out Unprovoked a sort of a thing and let all the forces of heaven and earth and hell attack it if it wants and To where through this process is the pressure is being applied to it Patience is being discovered. They're beginning to learn when they be look at it with a simple little faith that they have. Can I abide in Christ under all the pressures that would be allowed to come and it's got to be ultimately as he says in verse 38 the just shall live by faith and It's a faith there that has to ultimately be stronger than anything in anybody in the whole world As James says in James 1 verse 2, he says my brethren count it all joy.

He looks at the Christian He says count it all joy when you enter into diverse temptations or trials He says knowing that the trying of your faith Work at patience and let patience have her perfect work that she may be perfect and entire wanting nothing God wants you see to take this young this immature this excited faith there to where it is being tried It is being tested It is something there that realized that trying the tempting the pressurizing of it the cabin to come to grips with what do I believe? Where did I come from? Where am I going? What is the world all about and struggling deeply with those things? There it is something that real faith Ultimately to become real faith has got to be dealt with under real pressure Real trials real tests if it's going to be ultimately something that were patience Is it going to have its more? It's perfect work and a person is going to be perfect and entire and wanting nothing God wants to bring all of us to a place where we were by faith. I want nothing but him. That's it That's all that's on the agenda of my heart in my life That's where God ultimately when he starts us off with a simple faith It has to go through the processes out of that simple zeal and as wonderful as it is as youthful it is It's in order to become a real faith.

That's got to be a tested and a tried faith But ultimately it's having its real work real faith that one day at it because it's tried and because it's tempted and because it goes Through these things it ends up to be the very substance in the understanding of life for as he says in chapter 11 In verse 1 through 3 he says now faith is the substance of things So for the evidence of things not seen for by it the elders obtained a good report through faith We understand that the world's were framed by the Word of God So the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear here He now looks he says a real faith ultimately when it has when it comes into existence within the human soul Within a person when they really comprehend it. It's not an emotional faith It's not a zealous faith and not a wishful sort of a thing. It's an inner Conviction, it's an inner sense of absolute conviction and truth that is based solely and entirely Upon the Word of God though it may have other things of which are all about it But there is something that it looks there at the sense of God's Word Here when he says there that faith is the substance of things not seen That that word substance is it means assurance and when it says the evidence of things hope for the word evidence means proof That there is something when faith has it has had its perfect work within somebody They have something there within them where there is an absolute Assurance there is a support system.

I am assured with an assurance This is rock-solid that I have all of the proof I'll ever need Because the Bible gives it to me when the Holy Spirit Gives us faith. He wants us that that faith to be something that when it's actually formed. I look at the word and It is absolutely true It's something there that it's the it's all the assurance.

It's all the evidence my heart ever needs Jay Oswald Sanders says faith enables the believing soul to treat the future as present and the invisible as seen Faith brought me into a whole new dimension of my whole new set of senses You know when we're born All of us you got five senses Essentially and through those senses everything you are and know came into existence. You've got touch and taste Hearing smelling and sight. Well, I got one eye.

But anyway, if I knew there was I know I wouldn't see it But anyway, but the we have these things these five senses and through these senses is basically everything that we Did we see and we hear and we touch and we handle or we taste that's how we gather information. That's how we collect Opinions and who we are But the only problem is is that all of these senses are terribly limited in the sense And if a person only lives by those things ultimately they're doomed because none of these things None of these senses they don't see they don't hear they don't touch they don't taste they don't feel God they don't feel heaven and They only feel and see and touch and taste the world around us and ultimately for our faith to grow God has to take us into a place where he shuts down all of those senses and this is what we're gonna see an awfully lot of throughout the you know, the Hebrews 11 is all these people one after another Essentially where God took them and he shut down their senses where everything they couldn't feel God and yet they learned to trust him They couldn't hear him and yet they learned to hear him. They couldn't see him Yes, somehow or another they saw what nobody else could see They couldn't touch him nobody else around and I'm their own human senses couldn't touch but somehow or another through faith They could touch him through faith They could see him and as the Bible says God ultimately wants to give them an entirely new set of senses Ultimately in this life these five senses with age they deteriorate they fall apart your sense of taste and touch and sight Hearing goes, you know, you next year, you know, I mean all of them is you going down here you get Cataracts you get you know, everything be all these senses begin to weaken and begin to fade But in faith God gives you all of those same senses in a whole new realm We're like the Bible says through faith, but we see Jesus the author and finisher of our faith He gives you something there where you can look there and say can't you see him and then a natural man would say no I can't see him but faces.

Oh, I see him. He's right here In another, you know, we're our human senses. I'll see where's God.

I can't hear him But the Bible, you know, it would say, you know be still and know that I'm God and he speaks in a still small voice That's a sensitive heart. Here's it behind him. I hear him I can see him Bible says taste and see that the Lord is good You begin to there's something that all the human senses weaken and deteriorate and fall apart There's a whole new other set of senses that God that are imparted through the whole world in the life of faith That God begins to implant within a person's there were as they watch everything else fade away they smile and they rejoice as they see all this whole new set of Senses spiritually being imparted to them and that's what all when we'll see these characters We won't get into him today But as these characters one by one by one God brought them into dimensions where nobody else could see or hear taste or handle and yet they could look he's right here This is where he wants me to go.

This is what he wants me to do This is how he wants me to trust me with my life. This is what for my children This is what you know Whether you want to go from character to character to character to character Throughout all this wonderful Hebrews Hall of faith and fame as it is called They're all people that basically all the human senses Said where is he? I can't hear him, but they launched out into this whole new dimension by faith and They began to discover that those things that they couldn't see they were there Helen Redpath used to say that faith is a step in the dark onto a rock in the meal and when I'm standing here and it's absolutely pitch dark and And there's the voice that says step out as I can't see it But the wonderful thing is that faith because God begins to communicate to the heart and the soul I'm here you step I'll hold you and Each one of these people is in one area or another as we'll see in Hebrews 11 as they took that step as They walked out into it They discovered a presence and a power and a majesty unknown to all the rest of the world in their own life before but it was something there that they had to go through the period of zeal through the period of having a tested and pressurized or Where a desperation and a pressure maybe came on their life where they're finally there. All right God I trust you and they stepped and the next thing, you know, all of a sudden rock-solid It was there God was there and it is based here.

He says on the Word of God verse 3. He says through faith We understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God So those things which are seen which are not made of things which appear the Bible just simply says there that there was at one point nothing and God said let there be light in none of it happened through something that was in appearance and he says but ultimately you won't know this He says you'll never God this ultimate wonderful world of creation where it came from It was not be revealed to you through science or through the intellect or through your IQ or through brilliance or through great study Otherwise only people that ever know God would be the highest of the IQ the greatest of students It couldn't be the faith of a little child Which Jesus says you must have I'm putting salvation I'm putting the greatest secrets of God just on the simplest little lowest level of the of the echelon of life or even a little Child can step out and enter into its world and he says you will know this ultimately not by science You'll know it by faith Although science it's interesting on how it's bewildered itself But the Bible says that God wants us to grasp the fact that he created the world And this is very important to him in a sense because if I believe that what he says That this world was created because God just simply said let there be light Because and in boom light was because God had something within his mind within his genius there that he just set wanted it and he said it and therefore it was and if I can understand that and Believe that that's the foundational essentially of all the aspects if you can believe that faith for your own life Come quite simply. I Don't know about you, but I personally I believe Genesis quite true. Just exactly as it reads I believe that there's with a God created the world in six Successive 24 hour days.

I didn't think it's trillions of years older billions or any of that stuff. You want my opinion? You got it big guy. I'm quite comfortable with it because it isn't my opinion didn't make it up Bible said it and In there is one day after another God created the world in my own belief Because this is what the Bible says I believe on one hand though you would look at the whole world in any and try to scientifically evaluate It may come out at billions of years old by any method of the man would try to figure it out But I also believe that when God created Adam He reached down into the dust of the earth and he fashioned and he formed him and he breathed this spirit within a man That I believe Adam on one hand there at one moment.

He's only moments old moments old Just created but I believe if you'd taken his body into any laboratory in the world he would have had the physical bone structure the Muscular structure the nervous system the frame the body of maybe somebody 20 or 30 years old by every way of Evaluated he could walk he could function he could think he could carry on an intelligent conversation though word had never been taught He was somebody there capable. He wasn't there just a little you know a pile of a hundred and fifty pounds or something rolling on the ground You know or something. He was somebody immediately let there you know that God Created him and he was he didn't have to sit around and wait for the guy to evolve into a big boy You know or something at the moment.

He created him. He was That when God created all the vegetation in the world There that he didn't have they all the whole planet there with all these little teeny seeds here, you know There are something, you know all over the planet not just waiting for them to grow up believe in one day that there was a whole world entirely vegetated if that's a word and You would layer all the fruit trees you would still look at the fruit mature fruit there that he says eat of it He didn't have to say, you know, I'm planting some trees here. They'll be ripe in about three years It'll actually be fruit bearing.

Hope you can fast for a little while. No There is something there were to me I believe you did taken and evaluated that fruit by any way of science and it you know Was fully matured the trees you could probably take them in though They're only moments old and it probably would have had rings in it that they've signed this would say it's 30 40 50 years old I don't know whatever on it, but I believe that because you simply God created there you a whole world of the sea life Not just a bunch of things waiting to evolve out a seaweed or something in it There is a whole world of animal life fish life Animals immediately created and in a moment there all ages of senses of maturity capable of reproducing Functioning in their planet there where it just was though at one moment It was only days old by every way of evaluating it You look at this whole thing and the way that we would look today It's trying to say how long did it take this to come about?

It's simply that God created it. That's it Said let it be and it was and to me the whole point of it is I believe the first four words the Bible in the beginning God You know, I mean, it's very simple sort of a thing I believe he made a world that required his genius in his power and his glory and there was something there He did something entirely irreplaceable Something there that the laws of nature, you know Have no comprehension of in one sense or need to reproduce them They aren't reproduced over and over and over in a lab where you can look at creation this was a sovereign glorious miracle of God and not based upon the simple laws of Creation or nature as we would understand them because God created it out of nothing And how anybody can comprehend that and to me it's interesting You know when I look at things like, you know the flood I look at you know water You know walking through water on dry land I look at the Tower of Babel confusing and scattering people around the planet all these things that people want to mock You know man out of heaven Dust turned to lice a man sitting in the belly of a fish for three days things that people mock Somebody, you know walking on water healing the sick Terminally ill raising the dead people that want to look at and just say there's no way You know, how can you you know that these sorts of things can happen?

But you know the interesting thing the very things in the Bible that seem to confuse You know a lot of other people Are the very things that I actually require in the Bible for my faith and what I mean by that I mean if people want to look at the Bible and say I want a book that all the laws of nature all the you know That simply can prove and if you then then that's all they need for a Bible Then I expect if there's a book that begins in the beginning God Then I actually want to see a whole I thought it'd be chock-full of stuff that could only be expressed or only be understood and only be accepted on the basis that he's still around and Behaving is God and if there's somebody that created the whole thing, he can't stick a guy in a fish's belly for three days.

I Don't not impressed with him If he can't raise people from the dead if he can't open up a river that he spoke into existence If he can't bring man out of heaven if he can't walk on the thing if he can't calm the seas. I Mean the very things that people want to look at and mock are the very things that my face said if it isn't there I'm more troubled That I am satisfied in the wonderful thing But the evolutionists, you know on what in a sense God bless them, you know They as they essentially, you know want to look and they just want to buy all the ways of evaluating creation as we know it since creation since creation now, they've all they get all of the laws of creation and from What's happened since creation that didn't work in the sense you can't essentially do that He's trying to evaluate creation essentially after it was created. I Look at the building we're in right now You know, I mean they're very simple sort of a thing to me I mean since this creation I suppose if you tried to study this building by all the laws of nature Not putting in any genius or power or anything outside of it.

You've got a very difficult time Somebody be outside this building and walking up to it and they've never seen a building before they don't know what in the world the thing Is I come up to him and they say, you know, I was here a few years ago There wasn't there's just dirt look at this thing. This is amazing Where did it come from? And I'd say well, yes, you're right. It was nothing but a couple years ago There was a very intelligent being who had something within his mind and he had the ability to collect resources Outside of this building essentially in itself and there's something he saw in mind He could drew it out on paper Then he gathered together all sorts of material from steel mills and from lumber mills and from heating and air conditioning people and from drywall contractors and in cement contractors and electrical and roofing and plumbing and he gathered all these resources together in a period of a few short months in a Thousands of hours of labor and the accumulation of all sorts of materials there this place that was once nothing in in a few months there it was finished product Came into existence, but the evolution is he could not grasp an intelligent being He couldn't grasp anybody outside of the earth itself the outside of the dirt He looks at he couldn't exceed grass that there might be somebody with all sorts of resources and power and genius That could actually do such a thing as make a building like this and he's now just left to the dirt He just I just studied dirt, you know, and and he knows enough about dirt He says, you know everything that's in this building was in dirt once It was all in dirt that all the minerals all the steel there all the copper in the wires all of the the Plastics all the rubber was down deep in the in the oil reserves and brought out and all of the fabrics Everything here was made out of stuff that was and it's all under the ground here now And because I don't believe in an intelligent being This had to come together somehow So I suppose with a bunch of earth shifting with a lot of time a lot of time, you know somehow another there with time and weather and all the other things some but some just kind of pushed and shoved and You know lightning came down a rain came over and stuff, you know, somehow another little things happened here You know oil perked up from the ground, you know copper came over from there, you know, and next thing, you know poof it happened That's I mean, that's basically Evolutionist, you don't want to say it that way.

It sounds so absurd, but that's evolution That's what it is very simply all about and there's many intelligent people that believe it Sir, John heckles a Nobel Prize winner Neurophysiologist he figured that the odds of evolution actually happening. These are his figures Nobel Prize winner were actually four hundred thousand trillion trillion trillion trillion to one Now that's four hundred thousand a trillion is twelve zeros trillion trillion is twenty four here But you wouldn't have you had four hundred thousand with sixty zeros after it Nobody even could begin so you just got four hundred thousand three and three and three and three into one Is he says those are the odds and he says but it's here. So it must have happened These is that we give prizes to people that do this You know stuff you say wow That guy's smart.

I would have thought 250 Thousand trillion trillion trillion, but he hit it right on the head, you know, or whatever I mean, howdy and for this type of thing now I mean either you sit there and seek that that this happened four hundred thousand three and three and three and three into one Or else you take the first four words of the Bible in the beginning God and then immediately the odds are one to one They're really good now Very simple on Thing now the point of this is You know close it here. Is that very simple is that we're gonna be going on through this, you know through Hebrews 11 And we're gonna look at people with all sorts of things in their life in their home in their marriage and their families in their careers Barren people couldn't have children people that were facing death themselves people that were Unbelievable odds people being driven into worlds that nobody else could see or hear or touch or handle or believe in and yet God looked at them and he told them something and They believed him Because he said it and here the thing is the reason that is so foundational that you can take the first Four words of the Bible in the beginning God created here the writer of Hebrews tells us he says through faith We understand that the worlds were framed by God by the Word of God Here he is simply saying that if I can come to that place that I realize I believe that I believe God said let there be light and Light something that is moving at a hundred and eighty six thousand miles per second began jetting into an un You know created universe that now he begins to fling the stars into the far corners of the night He begins to speak in their worlds universes galaxies are created life is created vegetation animals fish human beings in his very image and That if I believe God created by his Word Then that's the foundation of everything because now if I can believe that I pick up his word And whatever it tells me I realize well, whatever he's got for me. No big deal I'm talking, you know to the gentleman that created everything and when he tells me He's gonna do something if I'll trust him He I am talking to I mean if you could imagine getting a telephone call from Bill Gates I don't know fifty hundred million billion whatever it is and You know and he Calls and he says hey Don.

I hear you need some money No, I need a lot of money oh Do you? How much Oh? 30 million, you know or something He said I mean just that man could say to me He could just that man could just say to me that's not a lot of money That's to you today and he said I Love you You're my brother say Brother bill, you know or whatever, but the thing is is that when God tells me if he spared not his own son Will he not give us all things? He looks at you in your life, and as we're gonna be going through this wonderful chapter It is something that if I can grasp the first four words if I can believe Through faith that God framed the world's out of nothing that everything that is at once never was In the most hilarious joke to me almost in the whole planet is the Big Bang Theory Which simply basically says in the beginning there was nothing and then it blew up you know I mean you want to sit there and say You know But But would you but here there is something where God says in the beginning there was nothing and I spoke and If you believe me You have named problems at all. I Didn't spare my son for you, and I love you I'm gonna take care of you through all the issues in the trials of life And as he would look there at Moses or he'd look there at Elijah look at one other He said stand still and see the salvation of the Lord and whether for your home or for your marriage Or for your child or for your struggles or for your health or for your finances God is determined to take every one of us through a zealous faith That was once a wonderful And then he lets all hell break out on it and he pressurizes it and he lets it come from inside He lets it come from outside for you have need of patience that you may be perfect and whole and lacking nothing and That one day you and I we can stand and have anything anywhere anytime anyhow come from any direction and we can look at it and smile at it and Be able to one day to say you give it your best shot Give it all you got Because it's nothing at all That's where God wants you to be. He wants us all to be there and oh that we would have that rest in his sufficiency And today maybe you need to say Lord.

I do believe you created this And I believe you created me And you take care of my life in every way Amen father. We thank you for your love your sufficiency for your power Lord, we thank you who you are and that you out of nothing create everything Lord, I pray that you would Bring us Lord all or wonderfully through all the lessons of life Lord we thank you for our little children This Sunday school with their zealous faith and come running and we can ask him What did you learn today and they can tell us of the most wonderful miracles that you did as if it was just nothing Because Jesus did it and we look at them and we see this precious innocent faith And yet Lord, we know it'll be tried. You know, it'll be tested some of them right now Maybe your parents they're out there and there it's being tested and tried and they don't seem to be faring well But Lord by faith ourselves to say Lord It's in them And as it's tied and tested and it's in us and being tried and tested Lord, we want one day that Patience would have its perfect work It's full work Lord, we would come to that place of resting in your sufficiency Lord that we could one day actually join those that are in Hebrews Hall of Faith Stand with them in heaven Say I found the God you found I heard the voice you heard I Tasted and saw him that was good.

I could smell the sweet smelling aroma of his presence In times where there was a worldly stench in times where there was so much clamoring You couldn't think you'd hear a thing, but I heard his still small voice through faith Lord I pray that you would give to us this wonderful honor of going through the times of testing and trials And Lord that we would emerge with a God that is so powerful. That's so glorious. We'd stand in awe So Lord continue your work within us Lord that the trial of our faith would have its perfect work.

We would be wanting nothing Father we ask it in Jesus name. Amen
