About 18 years ago, when my daughter was about four years old, I took her to her local library. And in the lobby of that library was a big poster board stand-up of two lesbians kissing as it advertised a local play. I went up to the librarian and I demanded that the poster of the lesbians be taken down immediately as it was offensive to me as a Christian.

The librarian hemmed and hawed and said it wasn't in her power to take down the poster, that I'd have to contact the head librarian over the whole city. Well, the next day I spent several hours on the phone talking with different library branches until I found the right person who was the head librarian. I told her I'm a Christian parent and I take my little girl into our neighborhood library to teach her about books and we're confronted with sexual perversion as soon as we walk in the door by this prominently displayed poster and I want it removed immediately as it is offensive to what I believe as a Christian.

The librarian said she'd look into it and call me back. The next day she telephoned me to inform me that the offensive poster had been taken down. What that incident demonstrated to me, friends, is that as Christians we do have a voice in America, but the trouble is we have lost our voice through the years because we fail to stand up against the things that are against God, against the gay life movement that has a aggressive anti-Christ agenda.

Because we did not stand up when we should have 15 years ago, things have gotten out of hand to where they are now. It's gay pride month and everywhere you go you're confronted with their agenda. You can't even go to the mall here in my city without seeing on every storefront window rainbow pride advertisements and promotions, but you better not say anything about it now because Christians have become a minority voice because their indifference to gross sin.

I can promise you this, friends, if you tried to replace the gay agenda material with bible verses on storefront windows there'd be the biggest outcry from every atheist and God-hater in town. The reason why Christians in this country have lost their voice is because we refused to exercise it while we still could and had time to. Others with louder voices rose over our silence, but my bible says in Philippians 3.19, whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame.

When you see a rainbow parade this month, friend, you see a fulfillment of that verse which speaks of those whose glory is in their shame. Heaven help this American Sodom.
