I spent many years as a lost church member on a religious road to hell. I swallowed the modern gospel and did what the preacher said to do and believed myself to be saved. But even though I called myself a Christian for years, I could not live the Christian life.

My sin habits went unchallenged and unchanged because I was an unconverted man who had merely found some religion. I believe everyone needs some kind of religion to ease their conscience and make them sleep at night. But I never understood why all my church buddies told dirty jokes and watched R-rated movies and were greedy men crawling over each other's backs trying to grab as much of this world as they could.

We all went to the same church every week and because we were there and ran into each other on a regular basis and because we tithed and served, we just assumed our souls were all right in the sight of God. I could never figure out how the big Baptist megachurch I belonged to could boast that it had 30,000 members, but in the weekly prayer meeting only a couple hundred would ever show up. The church parking lot was always full with brand new Mercedes and BMWs and most of the deacons were members of the finest country clubs in town, but most of my church friends would rather be at their club playing golf in their leisure time than out sharing the gospel with the lost.

And I always wondered why so many of my good church friends were going through a bad divorce. Even though we all got together at church on Sunday for fellowship throughout the week, we looked and acted no different from the rest of the world. It took me a long time to finally realize something was wrong with that picture because the Christianity found in the pages of my Bible didn't resemble the Christianity found in my church.

I finally realized I was just a lost man like most everyone else in that big church and none of us had ever heard the real gospel before. But how could you argue with popularity? The gospel that was dished out to us by our denomination was a popular gospel that everybody preached, but it was not the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, but another gospel of a demonic origin. I believe the devil is the most successful evangelist in America and through religion and denominational programs he has deceived and damned millions of church members who never left the kingdom of darkness but somehow got themselves on a church roll.

I believe the devil if he can get you to join a church and put you on a deacon committee then you'll never question the validity of your salvation. You will assume everything is all right with your soul. Well that's my introduction friends to my message this evening and the title of my message is Church Folk Boiling Mad in Hell.

Because I believe many an unconverted pastor has stood over the coffin of his unconverted church member to lie to the grieving family by saying old Joe isn't suffering anymore for he is now with Jesus. And down in hell old Joe is screaming his lungs out as he is trapped in the fire below in that dark prison of eternal ruin and damnation called hell. And he's boiling mad in that devil's hell.

He's mad at his pastor for feeding him a false gospel and telling him he was saved. He's mad at himself for accepting a religion that gave him a little peace of mind but did not save his soul from eternal ruin. He's boiling mad in hell at this very hour as he has changed up in a region of torment and misery and all around him all he can hear is cussing and blasphemy from millions of tortured souls who hate God, hate man and hate themselves.

Hell is a loud deafening region of wails and shrieks and cries of suffering. Hell is a place of unrest. My Bible says so.

In Isaiah 57 20 we read but the wicked are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest whose waters cast up mire and dirt. I live by the ocean and in a tropical climate and you get used to tropical storms and hurricanes. I've stood many times at the seashore when a tropical storm approached the coast of Florida and the waves rose with a force and a fury and crashed down again in that troubled sea.

That's what hell is like. It's a place of great unrest, great fury. But I believe the poor souls in hell who are madder than anyone else there are baptized church folk who never got to Christ to get their sins washed in his blood and they're boiling mad in hell.

They're hollering I was the chairman of the deacons. I was the Sunday school teacher. I gave my money.

I gave my time to that church and they lied to me. That filthy pastor is a liar, a liar. Wait till he gets here.

I'll get my hands on him then. 60 years ago in America the real gospel died out and several generations of nice church folk swallowed a watered-down version that allowed them to get their free ticket to heaven punched so they thought and that false gospel allowed them to join a church and to remain unchanged individuals in love with the world and in enmity against the holiness of God. They were just baptized individuals who never obeyed God nor ever surrendered to his son the Lord Jesus Christ.

And right now there's a whole lot of church folk who are boiling mad in hell for the sinners in Zion are afraid of fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings. Don't let it happen to you friend. Make sure you get to Christ for forgiveness of sin.

It's awful hot down there in hell and the people there are boiling mad.
