Hell Fighting Ministry

In the book of Acts we read, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also. The Christianity of the early church was counter-cultural. The church went in one direction and pagan society in the other, and when they met, there was a clash.

Anytime there is a disturbing presence of Christ in a meeting, there will be a clash. It's a hell-fighting ministry that preaches the gospel of the Son of God in all its purity and proper order and warns sinners of a future judgment for all mankind where the judge of all the earth will bind hand and foot every single church member whose name is not found written in the book of life and cast them against their will into a burning inferno of perdition and damnation for all eternity because God is a God who must punish sin.

It's a hell-fighting ministry that calls sin black and hell hot and preaches the absolute lordship of Jesus Christ where you must throw down your shotgun of rebellion at his nail-pierced feet and submit in utter surrender to a reigning living sovereign who has all rights and claims on all followers of his. Luther had a hell-fighting ministry that enraged the popes and reformed the nation. Knox had a hell-fighting ministry that made a bloody queen tremble when he prayed.

Whitefield had a hell-fighting ministry that shook two continents for God and revival. And any God-called preacher who goes against the grain of a man-centered popular gospel and by being true to the souls of men will have a hell-fighting ministry where every devil in and out of hell will be against him.
