I've been around a long time, friend. I was a little boy in the 1950s, and I vividly remember standing in a classroom in public school where the teacher led us children in reciting prayer to God in heaven. I watched a once God-fearing society turn into a godless society that has no fear of God.
I've watched my country's government slowly and steadily de-Christianize this land by removing God out of the educational system, legislating him out of our judicial system. I've watched America as she has legalized sin and promoted perversion. I weep hot tears over this sex-addicted society of ours, which burns with lust and adultery.
My heart is broken over our young people today who don't believe in God and who are addicted to sex, alcohol, drugs, and perversion. Money is their god and pleasure is their king. And where is the church in all of this? The church is a powerless institution who has lost her voice of authority because of conformity and compromise with the world.
Your typical Christian is worldly and self-absorbed. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus is seen in his earthly ministry addressing his followers about the coming woes upon them of the destruction of the temple and the last days. And as he speaks, hot tears stream down his beard as he laments, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets and stonest them, which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not.
Let me ask you, friend, when was the last time you wept hot tears over your nation, where your tears ran down like the blood of violence in the streets, where your tears flowed like the perversion that flows across our nation, where your tears flow like the booze which flows every bar in this city, where you really weep over your loved ones who are going to hell, your co-workers and neighbors who grope in darkness on their way to damnation. Why is your Bible a closed book? Why are your eyes dry while this generation sends its way to a devil's hell?
