In John, chapter 17, we read the words of Christ Jesus, And now I am no more in the world, and I come to thee, Holy Father. Keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, That they may be one as we are. While I was with them in the world I kept them in thy name, Those that thou gavest me I have kept, And none of them is lost but the son of perdition, That the scripture might be fulfilled.

Friends may fail or forsake you, But your faithful friend Jesus will never give up on you. You may at times, in a moment of weakness, give up on him, But he will never give up on you. You may disappoint him, and through sin let him down, But he will never let you down, and he will never let you go.

He will be there with you through thick and thin, Through health and sickness, through joy and grief. He will comfort you when you are sad, He will hold you when you are lonely, He will speak peace to you when the world is at war against you. You may deny him, but he won't ever deny you.

Jesus will love you with an unconditional love That he demonstrated at Calvary by dying for you. He loved you enough to lay down his life for his friends. The apostle Paul knew that love of Christ, He loved me and gave himself for me.

You might turn your back on him, But he won't ever turn his back on you. He is always there for you. He is long-suffering toward you.

He knows the person you can become, And he will help you become that person. He loves you with an everlasting love. He loves you like a father.

He loves you enough to chastise you when you need correction. He loves you enough to cover you under his wings when you need protection. Even though at times it may seem like everyone in the world has given up on you, But Jesus will never ever give up on you.

He will be with you and see you through until the end. He has a love that will not let you go. Remember this.

No matter how bad it gets and how dark it may become, Jesus will never give up on you.
