I have a globe of the world, which is on a wooden stand, but this globe would not be considered an attractive piece of furniture. Rather, it is worn and stained and has no eye appeal or comeliness. It has weathered many early mornings of desperate prayer, as foreign lands were covered by praying hands for God to touch that region and people.
The stains around the map of the globe are due to tears falling upon them in intercession and anguish for God to send revival to those lands, for the Almighty to pour out a blessing from heaven upon them. Only heaven knows the results of that worn-out and tear-stained globe, and I wonder, is there a globe in a distant land that is worn and stained for me and my country, or is the dearth of worn-out and tear-stained globes the reason for so many dropping into hell each hour? The world perishes as we play our games with round balls thrown in hoops, but where are the tear-stained orbs of pity for the lost and perishing who need to hear about the Christ who came to this round globe to die? For sinful man! Oh, for more worn-out and tear-stained globes that stand as a testimony for the spread of the gospel!
