Let us sit back and listen as the servant of God brings forth the Word of Life. Isaiah 60, 1 to 3. Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. But the Lord will arise over you, and his glory will be seen upon you. The gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

John chapter 3, 19 to 20. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Genesis 32, we'll read from verse 1 to verse 7, and then 22 to 28. So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. When Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's camp.

And he called the name of that place, Mahanaim. Then Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau, his brother, in the land of Seir, the country of Edom. And he commanded them, saying, Speak thus to my lord Esau.

Thus your servant Jacob says, I have dwelt with Laban and stayed there until now. I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, and male and female servants, and I have sent to tell my lord that I may find favor in his sight. Then the servants returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and he is also coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.

So Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed, and he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks and the herds and camels into two companies. And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok. He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had.

Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when he saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the socket of his hip, and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go for the day breaks.

But he said, I will not let you go unless you bless me. So he said to him, What is your name? He said, Jacob. And he said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.

May God bless his word in our hearts in the name of Jesus Christ. We are going to pray on two counts. We are raising a cry for our nations, our people, our family members.

And we are also going to pray for ourselves in the light of what God is saying to us. God's promise remains sure. He wants to make us a light to the nations.

The Lord began to say to us that we need light. Because what conquers darkness is light. It is not noise.

It is light. And we began to pray yesterday that God will give us light. Because God himself said, Awake, all you who sleep, the Lord will give you light.

And we began to pray that the Lord will give us light. We will still raise that cry to God this morning. And I'm trusting God that this very day, God will give us light.

God who promised is faithful. He will give you light in the name of Jesus. But we are going to pray for our nations.

The Bible says the condemnation that the world has is not that God wants to destroy them. This is the condemnation. That the light has come into the world.

And men love darkness rather than light. Because their deeds are evil. It dawned on me as we began to look at the word of God yesterday.

That what is the problem of our people, the nations. Is not that God wants them to perish in darkness. The reason Jesus came into the world was to shine the light.

So that men will come out of darkness. But we are saying that something ties them in darkness. And for the first time yesterday, I saw that there is a need to cry.

For our nations, for our people. He said the reason they still remain in darkness is because they love darkness rather than light. I will cry this morning.

You know the Bible says, God has shed the love of God abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Isn't it? Which means, it's not compulsory for people to love darkness. If God begins to work.

Something can happen to them to chase away that love of darkness. And shed abroad the love of God in their hearts. We have an assignment before we go and shine the light.

Because you can shine the light, but they will still remain in darkness. I don't know how that thing happens. But it does happen that light is shining.

But people choose to remain in darkness. He said the condemnation is that men love darkness rather than the light. Our cry to heaven this morning is Lord, whatever ties my people down in darkness.

Whatever is the love of darkness in their hearts, chase it away. One of the things that ties them in darkness is what our brother mentioned this morning. When he said, if the light that is in you is darkness, then that darkness is very great indeed.

If the light that is in us be darkness, then that darkness is very great. And God is wanting us to address that issue as well. That as we begin to cry to God this morning for our lives, we will also cry to God for our people.

Because often times our problem is not that we have not got light before. But our light has turned to darkness. So even in our homes, our children love darkness rather than the light.

So we have not been able to affect them. Darkness is very comfortable to stay at home with us. We have a critical cry to make.

Look at our nations. Darkness is happy to incorporate us in their midst. They are not moved because our light has turned to darkness.

So their love of darkness still remains. Two counts on which to pray. First, we will cry to heaven for our people.

Let God have mercy. And then we will raise a cry to God this morning for ourselves. Let the Lord give us light.

So that as we go back and shine the light, whatever darkness is in their lives, the homework has been done. God will chase away the love of darkness from their hearts. Do you understand our prayer this morning? But first, we are going to pray for our people.

What is this love of darkness? Why should men love darkness rather than light? If not that the devil is at work. That love of darkness that makes people to love darkness, let the Lord chase it away. Then it will be easy for them to receive our light.

2 Thessalonians talks to us that some people refuse light. And so the devil will have a field day in cheating them. 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 9, verse 10.

They love darkness. They remain in darkness. They choose darkness.

So the devil will just have a field day. Because they did not receive the light. They didn't receive the truth.

We will cry to heaven this morning. Lord, whatever it is that blindfolds our people, that will not let them receive the light. Whatever love of darkness is in their hearts, chase it away.

Look at some of our children. We have been crying. It's not that we have not been praying.

Some of us have fasted 40 days and 40 nights for our children that are wayward. But they still remain like that. They love darkness.

They are happy to incorporate us and to stay even in our midst. Nothing changes them. I don't know this kind of light that we have that doesn't chase away darkness.

Has our light not become darkness? Since it's no longer affecting darkness. It's no longer able to challenge darkness and chase away the love of darkness from the hearts of our people. We will beg God this morning for help.

We will plead with him. Lord, have mercy upon us. Maybe the first prayer is for ourselves.

I think we need to cry to God for ourselves. Because the light that has become darkness cannot be effective. Whatever makes our light to change to darkness.

That makes us to so much compromise. And we are not able to affect darkness. Even in our homes.

Not to talk of our places of work. Our light has turned to darkness. Corruption is everywhere around us.

And we have joined them. We have said if you can't beat them. What should you do? Join them.

We have joined darkness. We as parents. We are the ones encouraging exam malpractice.

We are telling teachers to please help our children to cheat. Has our light not turned to darkness? We are the ones encouraging corruption. Has our light not turned to darkness? We have a need to call on God like Jacob this morning.

Look, Jacob saw that hey, my strength can no longer carry me. Esau is coming ahead. With 400 men.

Esau is ahead of me. Who will deliver me? He raised a cry to heaven. He first struggled with God.

When that angel came to wrestle with him. He wrestled with the angel. But because God wanted to have mercy on him.

He touched the owner of his hip. And it gave way. Then he knew he was in trouble.

Even if he had legs to run. How will he run? Eh? How will he run? When Esau is coming with 400 mighty men of war. To confront him.

Of the cheating he did 21 years before. How will he run now? He began to cry. He held the angel.

And said, I will not let you go. Unless you bless me. We have a need to call on God this morning.

Father, the situation is too much for me. Even in my family. I don't have the light.

Lord, how will I let you go in this meeting. If you don't bless me. If you don't give me light.

Where do I return to? How will I be able to change the darkness. Coming to me with 400 times darkness. At home, there is darkness.

At work, there is darkness. In our nation. In our domain.

There is darkness. How will I do that? How will I confront them? I will not let you go this morning, Lord. Unless you bless me.

You will listen, cry to heaven. As we began to pray yesterday, Lord. Give me light.

Give me light. Lord, give me light. Lord, give me light.

Have you not discovered the weakness of your light, my brothers and sisters? Honestly, this matter is terrible. That we are somewhere and darkness is still raining. They are comfortable.

Is our light not darkness already? Cry, you will cry. You will beg God this morning. Whatever God does to change people.

What he did to change Jacob. So much that by the time Esau saw him. Esau became favorably disposed towards him.

Esau was even obeying him. That's the kind of thing we want God to do. Lord, give me light.

My light has become darkness. Lord, give me light. Many of us don't even have light.

Not to talk of light that has turned to darkness. What will you do with this Esau that is coming to you with 400 times of darkness? What will you do? We are going to pray this morning. Before we cry to heaven for our people, for our children, for our nations that lie in darkness.

We will call on God. Darkness covers the people. Thick darkness covers the nations.

But the Lord wants to rise over us. But we must pray. Lord, give me light.

Would you like to stand up and let us pray? Please arise on your feet. And begin to call on the Lord. There is no solution to darkness except light.

And this light is not sunlight. It's not electric light. It is a life that is light.

Thank God this morning. Lord, give me light. My light has become darkness.

Darkness is comfortable all around me. What's wrong with me? What's wrong with me? Why am I like this? Darkness is comfortable in my house. Lord, give me light.

Lord, give me light. Darkness is comfortable all around me. Lord, give me light.

Today is today. Lord, give me light. Today, not tomorrow.

Lord, give me light. I will not leave you unless you bless me. Where will I return to? Darkness is coming 400 times.

Lord, give me light. Darkness is comfortable to work with you in the same place of work. They are comfortable.

How great is your darkness. Lord, give me light. I cannot boast that I have light.

Lord, give me light. Darkness in your house. Darkness in your domain.

Darkness in your place of work. Darkness in your nation. Darkness in your church.

Darkness in your house. Turn to us this morning, oh God, in your mercy. Lord, give me light.

I will not let you go, oh God, unless you bless me. Lord, give me light. How will I go from here? With darkness.

Lord. I will not let you go, oh God, unless you bless me. Hey, Lord Jesus.

Oh, Jesus. You are the one who lights every man that comes into the world. Lord, give me light.

You are the one that lights everyone that comes to the world. Lord, give me light. How long, how long will light shine in darkness and darkness remains intact? How long? It means the light that is in you is already darkness.

Oh, Lord, give me light. Lord, give me light. Please give me light.

Oh, this morning. Today, today. Today, today.

Lord, we are desperate for you. We are desperate for the light. Lord, give me light.

How will I let you go? How will I let you go? Why will you leave me with the light that is darkness? Lord, give me light. Lord, give me light. Our light is not effective.

Our light is ineffective. That's why darkness remains. Oh, Lord, give me light.

Do something with me. Give me light. Lord, I'm not satisfied with the light that is darkness.

Where will I go? Our generation is in trouble. Our generation is unfortunate. To have people who are light, whose light is darkness.

Lord, change our situation. Change our situation. Lord, change our situation.

Our situation is not okay. Lord, change our situation. Give me light.

Lord, give me light. Give me light. Lord, give me In Jesus name we pray.

Now we're going to raise a cry for our people. The Bible says, this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Why are your children, your people, your country, why is our family remaining in darkness? Why? One major reason that the Bible gives us here is that they love darkness rather than light.

But since God has power to shed abroad the love of God in the hearts of people, can he not do it for us? We want to cry to God, Lord, whatever makes my children to love darkness more than light, whatever makes my nation, my people, the people in my domain, to love darkness rather than light, chase it out. Shed abroad your love in their heart, oh God, that when they see the light, they will grab it. Please pray.

Pray. Chase it out, oh Lord. Chase it out.

Chase away the love of darkness from the lives of my children, my people, my nation. Chase it away. Have mercy upon us.

Destroy the love of darkness. Destroy it, oh Lord. We are coming to them with the light.

Don't let them cling to darkness. Lord, pray, pray, pray for your nation. Your work will be fruitless.

They will only see the light if they love darkness more than light. Lord, chase away darkness from the hearts of my people. Oh, Lord.

That strange love is a strange love. Very strange. Why will people love darkness? What advantage are they getting? It is a strange love.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Pray that the Lord will shed abroad the love of God in their hearts. It is the goodness of God that brings people to repentance.

Only God can do this miracle. It's a miracle we need for our people. A miracle.

Let the Lord shed abroad the love of God in their hearts. That when they see the light, they will run into the light. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Destroy the love of darkness from my people.

Oh, Lord. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. Oh, Lord.

Lord, chase it away. Destroy the love of darkness from my people. In Jesus' name we pray.

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray.
