We want us to turn our Bibles to Deuteronomy chapter 5. We'll read verse 29. Then we'll go to Isaiah chapter 26 verse 2. Deuteronomy 5 verse 29.

Oh, that there were such unheart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever. Isaiah 26 and verse 2. Open ye the gates that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. As we came yesterday, settled in for the meeting yesterday, the Lord came with the church.

And the matter of David was raised with us. How that David as a young man knew that he also was part of what God plans to do in his time. Even at that young age.

He believed there was a cause that must make him take a stand even for God. When the challenge of that giant of God was prevailing in the land and there was nobody to stand. David stood and we saw God giving him victory.

I was so excited. Whereas the giant of God was being described as a warrior from his youth. David was just going to start fighting.

And he was going to bring down a champion to, you know, include in his own CV as part of his achievement in life. So this morning as we are going to be praying because the issue of the heart was raised very strongly. And again this morning as we listened to the devotional church is still on the matter of the heart that is made up.

So we are looking at the heart that possess the gates. And we are going to be praying that God will help us get down in our hearts yet again. As we read that Deuteronomy scripture, we heard the Lord express a desire, a yearning, a cry.

And what is the desire of the Lord? That men, people, his people will have the heart to fear him and keep all his commandments. That it might be well with them and not just with them and with their children forever. Say, oh, that there was such a heart in them to fear me.

That they would fear me and keep all my commandments. That it might be well with them and with their children forever. That is the desire of God.

This is the just one thing that God is very, very interested in any life that he is going to deal with. And even in people. If God can find a life that fears him and obeys his commandments, not just for some time.

But always, he says, he will play his own part. He will see to it that it is well with such a life, not just for a moment, but forever. And so, not just even with them, but even with their children.

So this morning, we are seeing a need to pray that God will help our hearts. That God will affect our hearts in this cycle. That hereafter, God himself will be satisfied that he has found young men, young women, whose hearts fear him and who are given to obey his commandments always.

And then, he will do the needful. And what is the needful? When God finds a heart that fears him, that reverences him, and obeys him, he says he will see to the welfare of that life. He will see to the survival of that life, even in a hostile world.

And so, we are seeing this in the life of young people in the Bible, like Joseph, who feared God, and loved God, and was committed to God. We're hearing of Daniel who resolved. He resolved in his heart, he settled it in his heart, that look, he was not going to defile himself, he was not going to, you know, corrupt himself with what was obtainable around.

And we saw God see to his welfare, even in his own time. So, we're also seeing that this heart that God is seeking that we should have, must be a courageous heart. Because if God is saying that we should obey his commandments always, that requires courage.

If you are not courageous, you will not be able to be consistent in obeying the word of God. Because many times the demand of the commands of God, the demands of the word of God upon our lives, requires that we contest with conflicting opinions and oppositions of the world in which we have found ourselves in. Whether on the campus, whether in the place of work, even in the neighborhood where you live, as a young person, as a young man wanting to live a life committed to God, wanting to live a life in obedience to the word of God, you are going to face the opposition.

You are going to face the criticism, the condemnation of the world. You are going to be mocked. You are going to be, you know, derided.

To look as if you are not serious, you are overzealous. But when you are courageous in your heart to take a stand, and that was what our uncle was raising, our brother was raising, with Samuel. In the midst of young people, like Hopnia Fininas, who were young, but chose to be ungodly, chose to be sons of Belia, misbehaving even in the temple, even in the church, Samuel maintained his stand.

Why? Because he had this heart that was sold out to God. And that's another point, that if we are going to be among the company of young people that God is talking about, that God is going to release him from this Congress, to go and take possession of gates, then we must be young men who have sold out our hearts to God, who have released ourselves to God, and I say, look, I am living only for God, and for what it would have me be for Him in my lifetime. And that is what we saw in Samuel, that despite his young age, he never gave himself to the pressure of the misbehavior around him.

He remained focused, and in the end, we saw that he was the man that manned the gates of the prophet and the leader of Israel in his time. The judge that people came to seek counsel, and he was giving direction to his nation before the people demanded for Saul as a king. A heart that is resolute in faith, faith in God, a heart that believes God, a heart that trusts in God and trusts in Him alone, a heart that has confidence in God and looks to God is the kind of heart God is talking about.

He says if he finds such a heart, he says he will prove himself strong on the behalf of such a heart, such a young person, whether you are a young man or a young woman, the law says he will prove himself strong on your behalf. And that is where the command to the gates, as we read in Isaiah, comes to play. As we read in Isaiah, God will say, Open ye the gates that the keepers of the truth, the righteous nation that keeps the truth may come in.

Open the gates. The gates are locked up, the gates are closed up, and we're not just open to anyone, but we're only open to those who are custodians of the truth. The time has come that gates are needing to be opened, but no more to error.

The time has come that gates are going to be opened. As our brother was mentioning, whatever are those gates, whether of the ICT world, whether of technology, whether of politics and governance, whether of business, and what have you, he says these gates are waiting, but they are waiting for the custodians of the truth who will come in and help out. The world has been overtaken by error on all sides.

We cannot believe what the world is offering us at this moment. It is as men, young men and women, who are coming with the truth that the gates can open up to, and then they will come in and sort out the garbage, sort out the confusion and the damage that has been caused in all of those places of life. We are going to see God doing that here after this Congress.

And the final issue we are raising, that we are going to be praying, yes, is a heart that is not tossed, tore and thrown with the lies, you know, of the world. A heart that is stable. A heart that is focused.

A heart that remains resolute, undivided. That are the kind of hearts that God is seeking to raise, to harvest in this Congress, so that he can release them to go and possess the gates that are waiting for us. I want to let us know the gates are waiting for us.

They have endured the oppression, they have endured the lies, they have endured the confusion and everything, but the hour has come and now the Lord is speaking and he's saying, open the gates that the righteous nation that keeps the truth will come in. So we are going to be praying on these points, and say, Lord, touch my heart the way you touch the young men of old, the lives of David, the lives of Joseph, the lives of Samuel, the lives of Daniel and his friends in Babylon, the lives of the Rehoboamites, and the lives of Esther, Mary, you name them. You touch these young men in a peculiar way and they live their lives pursuing your agenda for their lives and they were able to accomplish it in their lifetime.

Lord, we are in need of that touch. We want you to also touch our hearts in the same manner. We want you to do that to our hearts.

We want you to touch our hearts the way you touch the hearts of Joshua when you told him to be courageous. And in no time, Joshua arose and led the people of Israel out of the woods, out of the bush, and they crossed even the Jordan that resisted them for 40 years. Lord, we want that touch.

We are praying also to say, Lord, we want a bold, a courageous, and an obedient heart to your word consistently. We don't want to be off and on. We want to keep at it consistently, following you as you lead us to possess the gates ahead of us and a heart that is resolute in faith, a heart that believes God that it is possible the way you helped David, that the overwhelming appearance of the towering giant of God could not intimidate him.

Why? Because he was full of faith. He had confidence that, look, he will give Goliath into his hands. And we saw it happen as we read the scriptures.

So we are going to be praying on these lines. We are going to be calling on God to do this for us that he did for these other young people in their own time so that we'll be properly mobilized to respond to the gates of our time and bring the result home as the Father is waiting upon us. Brethren who are out there, on site, you'll be standing at this point to pray with us, to lead us to pray on all of these prayer points that we are raising before the Lord.
