(Clip) the Most Loving Message

Glenn Meldrum · 2:29

The most loving message that can be preached is the message of repentance, which is a call to turn from sin and abandon oneself to God.
This sermon emphasizes the importance and love behind the message of repentance, highlighting how it is a call to prepare to meet the Messiah and experience the kingdom of heaven. Both John the Baptist and Jesus preached repentance as a loving invitation to turn away from sin and draw closer to God, ultimately leading people to a place of surrender and reconciliation with Him.

In Matthew 3 verses 1 and 2 it says in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the desert of Judea saying repent for the kingdom of heaven is near. What was the message of John? Repent. Why was he calling to repent? He says get you ready to meet Messiah.

The most loving message that can ever be preached is the message of repentance. That is the most loving message. It is love that warrants.

It is love that calls us to repentance. That's why Jesus does it again and again and again. I believe if you go to Matthew 4 it says what Jesus' ministry was.

You know what his message was? Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near. If you understand that verse then you can begin to understand his parables. All of his parables ultimately were to bring people to the place of repentance.

That was the message of Christ. That's what he was doing. No greater message can we preach.

No greater message of love can you give to family and friends but you have to do it in a right spirit. Do you understand? Not in arrogance. Not full of self.

Not trying to cram it down their throat but in mercy and tenderness and wisdom on how to do it. But they need to understand the gift of repentance. That's what a dying world needs.

It's the gift of repentance. It is the love of God. The mission is going to be to bring people to Christ.

The message to bring them to Christ is repent. That's where God wants to take us. Take each of us to the place of bringing the most loving message that could be brought.

That there's a God that does love you because he loves you. Your sin is separating you and him and he's calling you to turn from your sin and abandon yourself to this God.
