God's sovereignty and redemption are demonstrated through His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and His declaration of what He is going to do.
In this sermon, the preacher focuses on Exodus 6:2-4, where God reveals himself to Moses as Jehovah, the self-existing one. The preacher emphasizes that God is who he says he is and is able to save completely. He highlights the seven eye-wills of God, which are the seven things God is going to do for the redemption of the Israelites. The preacher also emphasizes the continuity of God's covenant from Abraham to Moses and how God is now revealing himself as Jehovah to deliver his people from bondage in Egypt.

Now, I'm reading in chapter 6, beginning at verse 1. Now, the Lord will deal with Moses. Then the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord. This is Jehovah now speaking, the self-existing one. God doesn't have any reserves.
He doesn't fill a pantry full of foodstuff so that he won't starve. God doesn't have to make preparation for the future. He is the self-existing one.
I am the Lord. He's not dependent upon anything in creation. He doesn't lean on anything.
The whole business leans on Him, my beloved. Now, will you notice what He's doing here to this man Moses? He's giving him the continuity now that has come down from the days of Abraham. Listen to him, verse 3, And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.
He was the Almighty God, the Creator, the Deliverer, but now He is the self-existing one and the one who is able to deliver these people. Will you notice the number of times, by the way, friends, that the personal pronoun, I, is it refers to God. I am the Lord.
I appeared unto Abraham. I appeared unto Isaac. I appeared unto Jacob.
And I was not known by the name of Jehovah to them. Now, verse 4, And I have established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers. Now, you have here this tremendous emphasis upon what God is going to do.
Will you listen to him? Verse 5, And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant. Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord. Now, there begins here the seven I-wills of God, what He's going to do.
And they are the seven I-wills of redemption. And for us, it is a marvelous portrait and picture today. But it was a great encouragement to Moses in that day.
God says who He is, and now He says what He's going to do. And you and I have a Savior today. He is who He says He is.
And He's able to save to the uttermost.
