Be Humble, God Gives You Gifts and Faith (Clip)

James Jennings · 0:29

James Jennings teaches that humility is essential because God assigns both spiritual gifts and faith, and believers should not think too highly of themselves but recognize these as divine gifts.
This sermon delves into the concept of the 'measure of faith' mentioned by Paul, exploring whether it refers to the spiritual gifts bestowed by God or if it holds a distinct meaning. It emphasizes that this measure of faith is a specific assignment from God, cautioning against pride in what God has given. The message encourages humility and gratitude for the unique measure of faith each individual has received.

Full Transcript

When Paul says, according to the measure of faith, in other words, is the measure of faith saying according to the spiritual gifts God has given you? Is that all Paul is saying when he says that? Or is there something distinct about measure of faith? And whatever this measure of faith is, I trust you see it from the text, it's something God has assigned. And we're not to think too highly about ourselves in regards to something that God has assigned to us. He's given it to us.
