I am just desperately needing of you, Jesus. Without you I can do nothing. That equals zero to me. But with you, empowered by the Holy Spirit, I can do all things. I need you on coming tonight. I need you to touch my back. I need Jesus to be exalted and magnified and glorified. I submit to you, the person of the Holy Spirit, who alone can do it. But you do your job marvelously, Holy Spirit. I'm in awe of you. Father God, thank you for this immense privilege. Thank you for fulfilling the desire of my heart, as I used to cry out in my house, alone, with you and my darling husband. Get me to the radical 20 and 30 year olds. I didn't know how you would answer that prayer. But you put the desire there, and I knew that. And you never give it as a desire that you don't fulfill. So I thank you that this beautiful, wonderful audience that you've brought together, they think they're privileged. But I'm a thousand times more privileged. I'm humbled by this opportunity that you've given me. And I thank you. I thank you. Now fulfill all that was on your heart when you put those deep desires that I would call out loud. And it would sound insane. It would sound ridiculous. How could an 87 year old ever get to 20 and 30 year olds? But I have noticed you're not limited by anything, other than our unbelief or disobedience. When we have faith and when we obey you, you will open any door, anywhere, at any time. When we have one passion only, and that is that Jesus may be glorified. Teach us your ways tonight. Cause time to stand still in this church. Like you did in that room a month ago when I spoke to the women. Eight hours. And time stood still. Pain lifted from our bodies. No one was thirsty. No one was tired. No one was hungry. We were in the manifest presence of the living Christ. Lift us into the... You'll have to give me the words to describe it. I can't describe it yet. Lift us into the awesome, awesome, manifest presence of the living Christ. Who knows no time, no limit. Limitless, timeless. God, put us in that tonight. Thank you that you will. Amen. Amen. The message that God has laid upon my heart to bring to you tonight is about desperate praying. Do not put the word praying. That's not what it's about. Desperate praying. Desperate praying comes from the hearts of people who know there's a desperate need and are desperate for God to meet that need. Isaiah 64, verse 7. Listen to God challenging us. Does anybody know this verse before I quote it? Isaiah 64, 7. Anybody in the building? Listen to God's challenge. There is no one that calls upon your name that stirs himself to take hold of you. I've answered that challenge more times than I can remember or count, and I've said to God, I read your challenge, but you can't say that anymore because here I am, ready to stir myself up to take hold of you in intercession. Desperate people pray with intensity, and we're going to see some of the ways in which that intensity is expressed in the word of God because everything I'm speaking about is coming from the word of God. If I can't make a statement that can be backed by scripture, I don't make it. My authority is this book. Let's look at ways in which that intensity is expressed. You call out to God. You can weep. You can wrestle with God like Jacob did, only he was wrestling for personal change. We can wrestle for other people to be changed. We're going to see that it can be both tonight. Travail. Every woman knows who has had a child what the word travail means. The men only hear about it and go, ho-hum. I've always said to God, if one man only gave birth to a child, the world would change. The world remains unchanged. The men haven't got a clue. Who's had a baby? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, about a dozen of us. Would you say amen? Thank you. This can include fasting. Now I want to say something here that I hope you never forget. Some people automatically link prayer and fasting together. The Bible doesn't. What the Bible does teach is that there were people such as Moses, Ezra, Nehemiah, Jehoshaphat, Daniel, Paul, Esther, Hannah, David, the king and the city of Nineveh all fasted and prayed with intensity, with great results. But Jesus said, when you fast. What does that mean? The implication is there's going to be times when he clearly tells you to. That's what when means. Not all the time. You don't have to fast every time you pray. You fast when the Holy Spirit prompts you to fast and pray. And by the way, if you think just fasting alone is going to do it, that is not what the Bible teaches. It's fasting and praying together when he tells you. And if you are fasting and he has not told you to fast and you wonder why you're going through agony, check in with God if it's presumption. And if you are fasting, if you are praying and not getting through, check in with God if he wanted you to fast with the praying. The whole deal is obedience. Not the fasting. It can be, intensity can be expressed in silence. Total silence and yet an agony of intensity. It was so with Hannah. In 1 Samuel 1 12-16, there's so much to get through tonight, believe me, that we can't possibly take the time to turn that up. 1 Samuel 1 12-16, Hannah is in intense agony of soul to have a child and not one word comes out of her mouth. She was terribly misjudged by the spiritual leader over her who was Eli. Thought she was a drunken woman and said so and rebuked her. But do you know the amazing thing about Hannah? Her name means grace by the way. The amazing thing was not so much the travail which is a lesson for us tonight but the way she handled the judgment of a spiritual leader over her who knew her character and knew better than to ever say what came out of his mouth. You're a drunken woman. It was the way she responded to the spiritual leader above her who was totally out and doing and saying the wrong thing. She forgave him in her heart and she still honored him and spoke graciously to him as she told him the facts. She did not say well if you were in tune with God you would have known that I've had no alcohol whatsoever and I'm a woman of God travailing before God for a child so how insensitive to the Holy Spirit can you be? She could have easily said that and that's how some women react when spiritual leaders misjudge women. But her name means grace and she received the grace of God and she humbly just told him the facts no more and forgave him in her heart and then the big action took place but not before. That's when Eli came back in the spirit of God and said your petition is going to be answered. And blessed her. How many women have lost the blessing from God over a spiritual leader that they criticized when he was wrong? The Bible makes it very clear in the Psalms touch not the Lord's anointed and do my prophets no harm. That isn't a suggestion it's a command. And if you read my book Intimate Friendship with God you will see a whole chapter I have devoted called Touch Not the Lord's Anointed and I tell some of the amazing dealings with God with me as a young woman that absolutely changed my life irrevocably in relation to this subject. There isn't time to go there tonight but it's in that book. Tell me, be honest before God put up your hand male or female whether you've just learned something. Thank you. Praise to Jesus. I was sitting in a church one night in New Zealand the wonderful very wonderful Baptist church that my husband was an elder in and he and I were very very involved whenever the church was open we were there. And it was a Sunday night and a great a very close friend of ours who was a great man of God and very anointed was speaking. It was the only time he spoke was a Sunday evening in our church. He was an international Bible teacher and God had given him a very heavy subject that in relation to heaven and hell with the understanding that he felt that there was going to be at least one or more in that church where God was showing them that it was the last opportunity that they had to receive the Lord because they had resisted him. And this was their last chance and he was feeling the weight of this message on him. And we were very close friends and in my ministry of intercession I felt the weight with him. And the person who qualified for the witness in his spirit was my dear husband Jim's business friend. A friend that he worked with in business and had invited to come to this meeting. Definitely a non-Christian. But we had this understanding that this was God's final opportunity for this man. Now that's an awesome responsibility to be in both from the preacher's and from the point of view of intercessors. Because the man was brought by Jim and me to the church as our friend he was sitting right beside Jim and me in I think it was the front row. And I knew that every single minute without letting up for one moment that my role was to be interceding for that lost soul who was sitting right beside me. I think he was sitting in between Jim and me. I couldn't let him hear one sound of intense travail. I had to be like Hannah. It says her lips moved. I don't think I moved my lips. And I sat right beside him close. He never had a clue not one sound came from me. No hand actions, head actions, nothing from me. I just sat absolutely totally still, still my eyes closed and was in intense travail the entire time of the message. I know what this is about but not a sound. When the invitation was given he walked straight forward immediately and came to Christ and fully surrendered himself and was gloriously born again. Hallelujah. Hallelujah to Jesus. So many preachers lack intercessors in the audience who will carry the burden with them. It's an immense privilege. And don't tell me any one of you in this building if under those kind of circumstances where it is totally inappropriate to have any sound coming from you at all. If that's how God has shown it to be and many times it is if that's how God has shown it to be then you shut up and do it God's way quietly so that nobody knows. Why should anybody else know if you're doing it just for Jesus? And I've heard people say they've said it to me I don't swallow it for one minute oh I just had to let out that yell or I had to let out that groan or I just had to do that odd thing. I say do you want to hear what the word of God says? Because it's not it doesn't matter to me it isn't my opinion. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet Bible. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet you can control it you don't have to yell, weep, scream holler, do something bizarre or anything so don't bring that one to me. And I've been in audiences where somebody did and I would just say would you be quiet please? That is absolutely what's the word? What's the word I want? Disruptive. Thank you John. Just thank you John. Just be in every service I'm in darling and help me. Absolutely disruptive to what God the Holy Spirit was doing at that time. And I have seen Dr. Jack Hayford who is the founding pastor of Church on the Way where Jim and I have been forever I don't know when we started we're old but we've been there forever decades from the earliest days when he started and I have seen people go give a prophetic word supposedly out and Jack Hayford would just stop and say excuse me I don't know you sir are you a member of this church? I don't think so have I ever met you before? and the man would say no so a total stranger come in would you just stop what you were doing? the man was starting to prophesy or something supposedly and would you just go to the elder that is now right at your side and would you submit to him what you felt you were going to have to say and he will check it out and he'll give me the signal if that's right and I have seen that man I watched it bristle mad angry if you bristle and you're angry and you're mad when a spiritual leader asks you to quietly submit to somebody else above in authority you are the problem because Jesus is looking for humility and if you've got a valid word from the Lord and you speak it out and somebody doesn't agree with you that that's right then in humility you just submit to what the spiritual leadership says even if you're right now and just say oh that's perfectly fine I'm submitted to authority and if you're not happy with that I leave the responsibility with God I leave you with God and I leave me with God and I let God work it all out even if I wait till the judgment seat and you smile and you're as happy as a lark and on you go humility put up your hand if you just learned something thank you Jesus I'm thanking him because to my best knowledge of my understanding I'm getting in the month that I've been preparing for this I thought this is what he told me to tell you and he's just encouraged me so I'm just thanking him we choose to be desperate then call on the Lord how do we get this desperate praying? we choose it's an act of the will you have to want it don't wait for the till the Holy Spirit zaps you in your heart out in the spirit before you think you know just say to God I want to get desperate then call then call on the Lord to help you submit to the Holy Spirit in faith who then gives us the divine perspective on the object of our prayers does anybody want that sentence again? we choose to be desperate we call on the Lord we then submit to the Holy Spirit in faith who then gives us the divine perspective on the object of our prayers Romans 8 26 likewise the spirit helps us in our weakness for we do not know how to pray as we ought we don't know how to get desperate in prayer now God wants us to but the Holy Spirit will do the work God wants us to experience desperate praying in the following areas now this may surprise you it may not doesn't matter we need the point anyway for the fulfillment of our destinies are you and I desperate before God for the fulfillment of our destinies I didn't say that you wanted your desires to be fulfilled I didn't say that I said your destiny to be fulfilled that can be a totally different thing what's your name darling yes you yeah what's your name Joa Joanne okay Joy same mine as mine how do you spell it J-O-A-E I've never heard that in my life thank you for teaching me something Joa that it Joa is that right have I got it Joa oh thank you Johnny Johnny I always knew I needed you darling I love you Johnny yes sweetheart I will gladly do you know what he asked me you haven't a clue have you do you know what he said with all the sincerity in his gorgeous blue eyes would you be my grandma he said he doesn't have one he has one now just call me Nan that's what my grandchildren all call me just Nan that be alright just Nan did you call me that darling yeah N-A-N because that's the name my grandchildren call me so if you're going to find me to be your grandma you have to get the name so God wants us to experience desperate praying for the fulfillment of our destinies do you know what our destinies are we've all got the same one we all have the same destiny it's found in Romans 8:29 for him he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son that's our destiny nothing less I used to say and it became part of youth with a mission as part of the DNA it's gone all over the world from what I brought to it in I met Lauren Cunningham in 1967 that seems like forever ago and I said my vision my destiny is to know God and make him known and Lauren said that's going to be the that's going to be the slogan for youth for YWAM and it's become it I don't have that slogan today that's the secondary thing I have found that the by far the more important thing is what I've just given you it's my destiny and yours is to be conformed to the image of Jesus now you may say no way could I ever live like Jesus on earth oh so you're limiting the Holy Spirit you better repent straight away because it's one of the Holy Spirit's biggest jobs is to make us like Jesus nearly every night of my life before I go to sleep I say to my lover number one Jesus the lover of my soul I say Holy Spirit come come come and do whatever is needed in me to conform me to the image of my beautiful lover Jesus thank you that you will night after night after night after night I go to sleep on that one because it's the consuming longing of my heart and I say do whatever it takes don't short change me and that means if it means a lot more suffering if it means stuff that I think I could never handle you can handle anything Holy Spirit but make me more like Jesus top prayer do we regularly pray earnestly about right priorities you answer these questions you're not answering me you're answering the Holy Spirit who's in charge here tonight I'm doing whatever he tells me to do moment by moment do you regularly pray earnestly about right priorities in other words do you say to God on a daily basis oh please show me anywhere at any time today if I have my priorities wrong according to your standard for my life have you ever prayed that prayer once never mind as a way of life it should be a way of life why because our choices determine our priorities and our priorities determine our destinies your destiny will only be as fulfilled as you are making God's priorities the priorities for your life no other way Jesus had to pray desperate prayers listen to this one I've never heard this in my lifetime that I can remember Jesus prayed desperate prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane that his destiny would be fulfilled you say well now you're completely out theologically ok well listen to this verse Hebrews 5 verse 7 I'm reading from the Revised Standard Version in the days of his flesh Jesus offered up prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears this is Jesus loud cries and tears he's sobbing his heart out he's speaking to his father he was in the Garden of Gethsemane and I go on to quote loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him and the implication the implied is premature death and he was heard for his godly fear so what was Jesus doing crying out to God the Father to keep him alive that he would be able to go through physically and emotionally the agonies of crucifixion and separation from the Father who had been in an unclouded communion before time began that he would physically as Son of Man be able to stay alive to cope with not only the 39 floggings on his back he was flogged 39 with a cat of nine tails ripping at his flesh before they and up all night flogged up all night no sleep doesn't say that anybody gave him a drink or any food and he went straight out the next day and they put how many pounds crossed does Arthur Blessed carry how many pounds does Arthur Blessed cross nobody knows I've heard it many times but I didn't say something that's maybe off the charts a very heavy wooden cross on his shoulders listen his back was already lacerated and bleeding with raw flesh ripped out he had had the thorn of crowns put into his brow his head was bleeding they had pulled his beard out his image was so mad it was scarred like no other man he was unrecognizable he was he was nearly dead when they put the cross on him no wonder he couldn't carry it and Simon of Cyrene had to come along and carry his cross because physically he couldn't make it and Jesus was facing that in the garden of Gethsemane and then on top of that is crucifixion hanging with nails in his hands and through his feet and Jesus knew what was coming and he says to the father listen to it in the days of his flesh Jesus offered our prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death he was able to keep him alive God keep me alive father so that I can go through the agonies of this physical and mental suffering but his greatest suffering by far than all the horrendous physical suffering was being made the accumulative sin the filth of all the sins of the world when time began were heaped upon him he became sin and then he was separated from the one he had been in unclouded communion with before time began the longer I live the more the more I pour out my heart to Jesus and say for the incredible Christ you prayed just to save my soul so he knows what desperate prayer is all about Isaiah 53 11 confirms what I've just spoken from Hebrews 5 7 Isaiah 53 11 I'm reading from the King James version he Jesus shall see of the travail of his soul he was travailing in his soul for God to keep him alive to go through with what he had to do and shall be satisfied next point desperate praying to know God's character and ways I have a booklet that's available and I brought it with me is she not with the Lord or she's alive she's alive okay congratulate her for me for reading that book will you tell her she was really sharp right at the very front before they you have anything else in the Bible they have put that little booklet word for word at the very beginning of the women of destiny Bible that's the importance of Thomas Nelson felt about the message that's contained you can get it for three dollars I can't go into it it's found grace in your sight show me now your way that I may know you and that I might find grace in other words more grace in your sight and then verse 18 he goes deeper and he says I pray show me your glory now this morning before I ever started in the notes that were in my notebook we had a whole move of God on the glory of God didn't we and what it meant and I read you two incredible stories of mighty men of God one who had fasted and prayed for a whole month and when the glory came couldn't take it and asked to be delivered it was so intense and then we had the story of Smith's Wigglesworth when everybody else couldn't take it he was alone standing basking in it and we were ruined for the ordinary this morning weren't we show me your glory what does it mean to show what was behind Moses's prayer something like this Moses wanted to know what made God tick he wanted to have an intimate relationship with God that he would find out why God did what he did why he said what he said Moses wanted to see beyond God's personality and awesome power that wasn't enough for him he wanted to know and understand God's character only those who have been up close to us over long periods of time ever know our characters you can see my personality you can easily see that you can easily define it whether you like it or not is your business but you've got to put up with it anyway but that doesn't mean you know me only those who have been close beside me over long periods of time and have seen my actions and reactions in times of pressure and stress they're the ones who know me Moses was so desperate for this close relationship with God listen to this he was willing to go without food and water and climb Mount Sinai three times alone to be with God and remain there for protracted lengths of time Moses kept pressing the point with God as an intercessor and wanting to be God's friend he wanted God's favor as well as an understanding of his ways now let me stop there for a minute I hear on Christian networks in television constantly these words God just loves you unconditionally he's actually he's never mad with you he's he just I've heard several say he's absolutely ravingly excited about you and I sit there listening watching the TV and thinking so where have you been lately in the word yes God loves us all unconditionally no question no question about that but listen God isn't excitedly jumping up and down over you if you're in disobedience and you're in unbelief and you don't know his ways and you're mouthing out stuff about him and you don't know him therefore you're giving a distorted view of his character yes he unconditionally loves you but listen there's a vast difference between God's unconditional love which is to everybody and God's favor and that's what I want I want that more than anything else I'm not content to know that he unconditionally loves me I want his favor his favor his favor and he only gives his favor to intimate close friends who've taken the time to pursue to understand what makes him tick if you're an employer and you want the best employee you want that employee to know what are the things most important to you as the employer correct and not only to know what they are but to live accordingly under that employer's authority you want them to make what is important to you important to them and who does the employer give favor to the ones who make the most important to the employer important to them God's no different he's the ultimate employer are you desperate to understand what makes God tick why does he do this why does he say that what's his character like I have spent a lifetime I'm 87 a lifetime study the character and the ways of God I have to correct that I've spent 55 years of my 87 years 57 years 57 years of my 87 years desperately seeking to know the character and the ways of God and it wasn't until I did that that my spiritual life started to take off God was impressed with this man who wanted God's favor as well as an understanding of his ways because Moses wanted to know as I've said what were the things important to God that were important to him Exodus 33 13 is the reference to that God was so impressed that he says Moses is the only one where the Bible says these words nobody else he talked to God face to face as a man talks to his friend Exodus 33 11 so do you look at Moses and read that verse like I did 55 years ago and say well that's Moses or do you say look Moses was flesh and blood like I was like I am if he could do that I can do it I'm going to pursue God like that absolutely with my whole being I'm going to pursue him day after day I'll be in his word crying out show me now your ways that I may know you show me your glory I'll obey you instantly joyfully and holy no matter what it is God says I see that little person down there they're serious I'll start revealing myself I would pick up my Bible and so much revelation of truth would pour on me year after year decade after decade that my problem was getting time to enough to be able to get the notes get the revelation of the truth in note form to teach it out revelation would just pour pour favor Psalm 63 one to two oh God you are my God early when I seek you my soul thirsts for you my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water so I have looked for you in the sanctuary to see your power and your glory Paul's prayer Philippians three ten oh that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings and here comes the real key being conformed to his death what does that mean that means death to everything of us what we want doesn't mean a thing what does he want I think that's what I think doesn't mean a thing what does he think search the word there is an answer in the word of God for every single thing we will ever need to have or go through there's there's nothing that you can you can need an answer for in this life that's not in here nothing I have a lifetime to prove it with the wildest of stories of God speaking to me through his word I was asking God we had a flood in our home a couple of years ago in fact we've had three floods in our home in about the last three years interesting I didn't say there were problems I said it was interesting I said to God on one occasion what in the world is the purpose for this enormous mess and inconvenience the answer came back I want you to witness to the men who are going to have to come in and do the work and clean up the mess oh I said that's great let's go that's no problem I don't care about the mess not for one more minute and in would come I think there were eight workmen that all had to come in in different stages to paint or clean up or put new carpet down and I'm flat out witnessing to the whole lot of them and I could write a small book on the wonder of the joy and the fulfillment of those days and weeks and months before it was all cleaned up but the witnessing wouldn't swap it for anything ask the Holy Spirit what's the purpose don't get mad with them don't complain proverbs four verse seven says whatever you get get insight interesting verse whatever you get get insight insight must be terribly important what's insight go to the word proverbs nine verse ten says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding or insight so whatever you get get the knowledge of the character of God Proverbs two verse three to five yes if you cry out for discernment and lift up your voice for understanding see this is desperate praying if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God do you search to know the knowledge of God as you do when you lose money come on let's get real anybody lost money at any time anybody not lost money that would be easy how did you go for it were you casual of course you weren't you diligently went on and on and prayed and went on and on and more to get that money right and God says listen if you do this this is the intensity that I want you to come after me to know my character and my ways and then then you'll find you'll understand the fear of the Lord then you'll find the knowledge of God Isaiah 26 verse 9 with my soul Isaiah 26 9 with my soul I have desired you in the night yes by my spirit within me I will seek you early for when your judgments oh this is a terribly insignificant verse for when your judgments are in the earth the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness we could talk a lot about that verse in the ways of God that's one of the most controversial verses in the Bible because there are many many Bible teachers that don't believe that verse at all what did it say when your judgments are in the earth the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness it's so controversial I didn't go anywhere I just leave you with the word but this this is coming up over and over again I hear it on Christian television all the time around this and this is the answer 3 this is intensity for a closer lover relationship with Jesus now the word of God gets very intimate and very interesting Song of Solomon chapter 5 verses 2 to 6 we see that the whole point of the Song of Solomon with the king and his lover and some of the detailed interactions which include physically with one to another the whole purpose of the book is for us to see that it is a type of our love relationship with Jesus that's the whole point when you read the book with that in mind then the Holy Spirit will start giving you revelation this became one of the most profound books that God used for me to have the intimate lover relationship that I have with Jesus today that came out of this listen to chapter 5 verses 2 through 6 I sleep says the woman lover of the king I sleep but my heart is awake can you see what the Holy Spirit is saying can you see what the Holy Spirit is saying Jesus I'm going to sleep tonight but I want to tell you that my conscious mind may be wiped out and I need that rest but I want to tell you my heart is awake to you you can speak to me anytime you want you can wake me you can tell me to do anything in the night I'm awake in my spirit to you 24 7 that's what that means I'm sleeping but my heart is awake to you you can speak to me in dreams you can talk to me many times I wake to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me book chapter and verse and I go to it and my lover God has got something to say to me profound he can give us dreams I have a friend who Jesus speaks profound dreams to all the time I don't get jealous of that I've only had one dream in my life that was a spiritual dream from God it was very profound I've only had one my friend has them maybe six or seven a month and they're tremendously important and revelation on all kinds of things he was getting an office complex for his ministry he's an evangelist very very close friend of mine and he was seeking God as to the right place to go to have his office and he was in one of these dreams that God was speaking in the night and God showed him the faces of three men who were in the underworld you know what I mean by that um thugs owned a lot of money and were absolutely evil and he saw the three faces and in the dream the Holy Spirit says I'm warning you watch out for them they're in the building they're in the same building the next day he's walking into his office and out of the elevator of the big building where the office is out walks a guy the exact epitome of what he'd seen in the dream with a woman um on each arm and everything and the then screamed about him thug underworld you know he had seen it in the dream and God had warned him and he saw the next day the exact thing he'd seen in the dream your lover wants to do all this sort of thing for you but this this same friend of mine is awake and up every morning at 430 having two hours straight intense seeking of Jesus from 430 to 630 he has a little family of three and they get up at 630 and he's already had two hours with God before then a little prayer place where I get alone with you so I can be like you how would you like that how would you like your son to say that to you it's called favor but it's got a price now I don't wake at half past four because I'm often not asleep till half past four I'm up half of the night that's just how I am don't get don't have condemnation come on you because that isn't God's way with you but do have time I have intense time with God in my time table each one of us is different we're not cookie cutters God's more brilliant than that and wise and wouldn't it be boring wouldn't it be boring Johnny if you and I were just exactly the same like we'd be boring I like you because you've got blue eyes mine are green yeah and he likes me because I got green see it's anyway that's that's just Johnny and I having our thing up here that's alright it all it all originated with the Holy Spirit's all his problem if you have any problems with it where was I God I don't have a clue where was I door of her bedroom and he says open for me my sister my love my dove my perfect one this is Jesus talking to us for my head is covered with dew my locks with the drops of the night now her reaction is the equivalent of what we sometimes can do to the Holy Spirit's promptings to us what does she say remember it's song of Solomon chapter 5 she says now he's knocking on the door she's in bed he wants to come in and she says I have taken off my robe how can I put it on again I've already washed my feet how can I get them dirty by getting out again and walking to the door to open it my beloved put his hand by the latch of the door she just saw his hand and her heart yearned for him oh I haven't opened it when he wanted it but I saw his hand and I yearned for him so I will get up so in her timetable she says I arose to open for my beloved and my hands dripped with my fingers with liquid on the handles of the lock and I opened for my beloved but my beloved had turned away and was gone I called him but he gave no answer what's Jesus saying to us what's God saying to us something profound in our intense desire to have Jesus in an intimate relationship with him I have a whole message called God's silences can't give it obviously just tell you I have one believe me by now you can believe me because you listen to me by the hour so you know that I have stuff by the hour and in that message in that profound message of God's silences I refer in one of the points to this one here when the Holy Spirit prompts you and me stop now what you're doing listen to my voice go to my word obey do you know what he gives you when you disobey the promptings of the Holy Spirit he gives you his silent treatment yeah that's the reward because he's teaching you his ways and he's disciplining you and so then you scream out in your need oh God help me I can't stand this I can't take this any longer silence what did the verse in Isaiah say I called but you didn't answer and now you're calling and I'm not answering that's a verse in Isaiah I don't know whether I gave it to you it's Isaiah 65 verse 12 Isaiah 65 when I called you did not answer when I spoke you did not listen so I'm now giving you silence does this give you understanding of some of why you have unanswered prayer when the Shulamite maiden got up and couldn't stand it that her beloved had gone she went out in the street in the night looking saying where is my beloved where is my beloved I can't bear it that I can't find him and when the um when the others asked her why are you so upset that you can't find your beloved oh she answers in verse 10 oh if you only knew what he was like my beloved is white and ruddy chief among ten thousand his mouth is most sweet yes he is altogether lovely this is my beloved and this is my friend verse 16 when Jesus doesn't answer you because you know you didn't obey his promptings are you so desperate that you say I don't want to go on living until I can hear your voice again many nights alone since February the 24th of this year when God took my beloved sweetheart of 65 years marriage took him to heaven to be with Jesus he was 90 many nights alone after having him always beside me in the bed I just say Holy Spirit speak to me it's all I want is to hear your beautiful voice I don't care a scrap or a wreck what you say it doesn't matter I just want to hear your There was one other person, and that was when I say, I was alone day after day in a little tiny room that was more like a cubicle. I mean, you had to go outside to change your mind. It was that small. I'd said goodbye to Lauren Cunningham. We'd been in dual leadership all through that time in Japan. Said goodbye to my precious darling husband, went home back to America. All the YWAMers left, and Kalafi Moala, a Tongan, was the leader at that time, and he was the only one that I knew at all that I could speak to, that could speak English and not Japanese, and that I could communicate to him. But being the leader of a lot of other workers, he was very, very involved and wasn't available to me. So, and I understood all that, and I had, God had told me that I was to stay on for another whole week in Japan and get on a train and go way up north to a bunch of missionaries, pioneering, lonely bunch of missionaries in Japan, and minister to them. That was the purpose. And I had to wait a day or two before I couldn't get there on my own, and I couldn't speak a word of Japanese. So, Kalafi had to come with me, and he had to leave all his responsibilities. So, for days, I was alone in this tiny little room, couldn't speak a word. I mean, go out in the marketplace, literally, if you knew Japan. Anybody been to Japan? Okay, you know what I'm talking about. Millions of Japanese are coming and going everywhere all the time, right? Just if, in the marketplace like this. Train stations are going, and there's millions of people all around and everything. And so, I was away in my room, and I thought, well, what will I do? I thought, oh well, I'll sing worship songs to Jesus. I hadn't started singing worship songs to Jesus long, and I came under intense spiritual warfare. It's not wise, nor right, nor I'm going to divulge the purpose of the satanic attack upon me, but it was the greatest wrestling match I have ever had in my 87 years with the powers of darkness who attacked my mind. Not my body, my mind. I knew it was satanic, and I started doing normal spiritual warfare. That normal spiritual warfare, I went on and on and on, and I thought, well, I have never been in such a prolonged battle in my entire life when the enemy is not letting up for one second. And I am coming against him with the shed blood of Jesus. I've got all the scriptures out. I'm quoting the It Is Writtens. I am standing, stand and do warfare. I was doing it. I taught on spiritual warfare all over the world. I was doing everything I knew, and it wouldn't let up. I don't know whether it was Satan himself, or it was one of his huge principalities. I don't know, but it was no demons. It was not on the level of demonic at all. I was pounding my mind minute after minute after minute after minute after minute, and I'm just standing, standing, standing, resisting, resisting, resisting. It went on for hours. And I knew one of us was going to have to give up and get weary, and it wasn't going to be me. That I knew. So I just kept declaring the blood, the name, the word. It's the spirit, the name, the word, and the blood. The spirit, the name, the word, and the blood. Quoting scriptures, just going at it, at it, at it, at it. And the principality or the boss himself obviously got tired and got the message, she's not going to quit. Now, why I tell you that is this. When it was all over, and I could actually relax for a moment. Talk about intense warfare. No one with me, nobody to share it with, and I just, just was relaxed. And I thought, what will I do that will make the enemy really mad? Because I'm going to pay him back. And do you know what I did? I said, Holy Spirit, I want to sing a new love song to Jesus that I've never sung before. Will you please help me? Just give me something, something in relation to lovership with Jesus, because nothing will make the devil more mad than you praising and singing worship songs to Jesus. He can't stand that, because he hates Jesus, and he hates you. He hates our guts. I don't believe in saying things by heart. And this is what came. My lover God, you're more to me than any other one could be. My lover God, your love for me surpasses any love I see. Complete fulfillment is union with you, my spirit with your spirit, the fusion of two. My lover God, you're more to me than any other love could be. And that's what came out of it. Next point. Desperate prayer for a revelation of our hearts. Now, tonight, we are going much deeper than we did this morning. And every point that is coming here is going deeper. Just prepare yourself for it. And I'm not cutting back or short-changing you from anything God has given me. This one is now desperate prayer for a revelation of our hearts. Desperate praying for a revelation of our heart. Okay? It's not complicated. Got it? Jeremiah 17 verse 9. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? That's a question. That question is answered in 2 Chronicles 6:30. Only God knows it. Then hear from heaven your dwelling place and forgive and forgive to everyone and give to everyone according to all his ways whose heart you know for you alone know the hearts of the sons of men. 2 Chronicles 6:30. Underline it. Try and memorize it. Never forget it. It'll be life-changing. Verse 10 of the same chapter. I, the Lord, search the heart. I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. Okay. I have a question for you, and I want you to answer. God, not me, but I want a response. Have you honestly, before God, ever seriously taken time to ask God in desperate earnestness and said to God, I will not let you go till you answer me and show me my heart as you alone can see it? Is there anybody in the room? One, two, three, four, five. Six. Okay. I want a response from the six people, please. Did you get, put your hands up, the six people, please, again, who put their hands up. Did you get, I'm going to ask you one by one, did you get an answer? Did it come? Thank you. Did you get an answer? The man with his hand up. You got an answer? It came? Yes. Yes. You got an answer? Yes. Did you get an answer? Did he answer you? I'm talking about, did you see your heart as God sees it? That's what I'm talking about. Yes. Yes. Seven. Eight, nine. Did you get an answer, those at the back? Okay. I want you to describe, I'm not asking what he showed you, that's not my business. What was your reaction to his response? It's all I want to hear from you. Okay, anybody? You with the blue shirt, the lady. Her heart was far darker than whatever she had any understanding that it was. Okay. Does, does that, would that be what the rest of you saw or was there something deeper? Yes. What was yours? That's not according to this. That's something else altogether. This is the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it. It's that. You had, you, he was, he was giving you encouragement. Yes, but when, when he shows the heart as he sees it and he's, it's not a moment of encouragement. It's, it's never, it's encouraging that he's met us, but it's never pretty. That was encouragement. Okay. Now, uh, were the rest of you all just like lovely little encouraging moments? Please keep your hands up. I want, I want to get, what was yours? Yes. She saw the darkness and had no idea that it was a doubt. Yes, yes. I don't. Was it a revelation of something negative you, that you saw or was it in one of these encouraging things, which is not what I'm talking about? It was negative. Ah, it, so you had the drip feed method because it took six months, right? You had, that's, that's the drip feed. It took six months, but it happened. I understand. Thank you. I'm talking about when he does surgery, open heart surgery. That's what we're talking about here. Now, how many hands go up? Who's had open heart surgery? Yes, sir. At the back, sir. Any comment that you could help with this? I'm sorry. I can't hear you. What can anybody tell me what he's saying? Johnny, please. What did he say, Johnny? Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Johnny. Thank you. Thank you, dear brother. I'm sorry my hearing isn't as good as it should be. I'm 87. Just give me a break. He got a revelation that his heart, as God saw it, he had the potential to do any sin of all the things that he thought were gross sins. He had the potential to do it. Was that right, dear? Yes, thank you. Thank you. That's the kind of thing. Now, what about these people over here at the back? Did you have heart surgery? Something about the scalpel, Johnny. Give me a break. It was like God just put a scalpel in his heart. His heart, yes. He had a specific area of hurt that he was going to do surgery on. Of hurt? Is that what he said, hurt? What was it then? Can you help me at the front here? Of pruning. Of pruning. Oh, that makes sense. Yes, yes. Pruning away, cutting away things. That's right, that's it. Okay, that's it. Now, God wants not seven or eight people. He wants everybody in this building who's here tonight in the will of God. Are you here in the will of God? Yes. All right. He wants you to cry out in desperation, show me my heart as you see it, and be willing to wrestle with God until it comes. The first time I prayed that prayer, I was in a prayer meeting with my husband and three evangelists, and we were praying for the lost souls in our city, in our home. God had given me the whole vision for this, and these other men had all said, yes, that's absolutely right, sure, we're going to do it, we'll come to your home. Three evangelists, my husband and me, and for, I think it was two years, every Monday night, we would spend from 7 o'clock to 11.30 at night, four and a half hours, protracted, crying out to God for the lost souls in our city. And in the middle of one of those prayers, now get this, I'm in the middle of a prayer, praying for lost souls in the city of Auckland. And I stopped, it was obviously the Holy Spirit, but I didn't know, but I stopped and I said, God, would you show me the motive of my heart in all this? I just heard a prompting, a nudge of the Holy Spirit to stop, that's all I knew, and I asked that prayer, cooperated with the Holy Spirit, and immediately, without, I'd hardly got the prayer out of my lips, where I was overcome, devastated, he showed me the spiritual pride of my heart, in, because of what I was doing, and what, I'd been given the vision for this, I'd called these men, they'd all cooperated, we'd been doing it for two years, and I was proud that I was an intercessor with these men of God, praying every, I think it was every second Monday night, for two years, spiritual pride, I was touching the glory. And I was devastated, absolutely devastated. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed, and all that could come out of my mouth, the other men, my husband and the three evangelists, just listened, and all they could hear, they could hear me sobbing, and all they could hear was pride, pride, pride, pride, they didn't know what about, just pride. Wisely, they left me with God, they didn't try to mother me or smother me, and don't you dare mother or smother, when somebody else is under the Holy Spirit's convicting power, you'll mess it up, keep out of the way, leave them with God, let him do his business. So, after the longest time, I stopped crying, and all I could plead was mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, how could you have mercy with all that pride? It was absolutely life-changing. Okay, that was the first time. Second time, it was about six weeks before I was going around the world the first time, Lauren Cunningham opened up the world to me as a Bible teacher, and he was the one that made the way in everything, and it was about six weeks before I was to go to seven nations of the world, was my first trip out of New Zealand, as an unknown housewife, I went from 14 years of intensive preparation, hidden away, and then opened to seven nations, and it was about six weeks before I was to go around the world, and I was driving my car one day, and I could hear the Holy Spirit convicting me of pride over something I'd said and I immediately confessed, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, immediately confessed, repented of the Lord, received his forgiveness, went on. That happened three times in one week, and at the end of the third time, I said, okay, okay God, three times in one week, I'm convicted of sin of pride. Therefore, this is just the fruit, there must be a root of pride that I know nothing about, and have to have a revelation on, because I can't repent of what I can't see, and your word says you only know the hearts of the children of men. So, I got down on my knees, I took the phone off the hook, I was desperate, desperate to have a revelation of the root from which this fruit was coming. I locked the front door of the house, my husband was away in business, my children were at school, I was not going to have any interference whatever, front door, phone off. You understand? I'm alone with God. I'm down in front of a chair in our living room in Auckland, New Zealand, and I kneel there and I say, I understand this verse, you only know that my heart, I can't see it, you can. So, and you came once before when I asked, so will you come again now, please, and show me my heart as you said, give me the, what I desperately need is revelation and conviction so I can repent and get free, and have a little humility around here. And I thought he would answer me straight away like he did years before. Nothing happened after I prayed that prayer and waited, I just thought it would come, nothing happened, silence. I said, okay, what did they do in the word, always go to the word, what did they do in the word when they didn't get an answer? And I thought, Jacob, that's right, he wrestled. Okay, I don't think I've done this before, but this is, I'm in a new sphere and stage with you, but that's okay. I'll wrestle, Jacob wrestled. So I said, okay, God, here I come. I need a revelation of my heart as only you can see it. I don't, I can't find, you're not talking to me and I am desperate and I'm going to wrestle with you now and I will not let you go. I will not let you go. I will not let you go. And I went and sobbed, not with revelation, with intense desire. And I waited, nothing happened, nothing, silence. I went back to what happened in the word? What did, who got more desperate than that? I thought, Moses, see, I knew the word. I knew the word. You know the word, you'll know what to do. And I thought, Moses went further than that. He went further than that. He pleaded God's character to himself. I know you're holy. I know you're righteous. I know they're sinful, but God, you're not only holy and you're not only righteous, but you're a God of mercy. And I plead your mercy over these people. And it's not in your interests to wipe them out, because what will the heathen think? That you couldn't bring the children of Israel through the wilderness? Your name and character's at stake. So I thought, right, I'll do that for myself. So round three. And I wept again and I spoke to God just exactly like Moses spoke to God over the children of Israel. I said, it's not going to be in your interest. You're sending me around the world. I can't go with a heart that's full of pride. It's got to be absolutely, I've got to be full of humility. How can I represent you? And you can see it and I can't. And it's not going to be in your interest not to tell me. And I wrestled again. I will not let you go. I will not let you go. I will not let you go. I'm here for the duration, if that's what it takes. And then it came. Woo, then it came. Relief that he'd answered me. But oh, what I saw. I had been involved with so much evangelism. Jim and I had, with three other men, had started Teen Challenge. The whole of the work of Teen Challenge in New Zealand was started by my husband and myself and three others. We were already involved with every kind of evangelism out of our church. I was involved in going around the parks and streets witnessing. I'd been up and down my street. I'd given tracts to everybody in my street. I'd prayed. I'd spoken. I was evangelism. And because we were such loyal, devoted church members, are you hearing me? Don't tell me you don't belong to a local church and it's not the will of God. I don't buy that for a minute. God doesn't matter what you're out there in. There's a place where you need to be submitted and under the covering of spiritual leadership in a church. And we were up to our dandruff. That's beyond your eyebrows. My husband was an elder there. Every time the church door opened, we were there. But we were out in the marketplace as well. Because listen, Jesus was in both. We learned that this morning. Right? Jesus was no more in the temple than he was in the marketplace. He was no more in the marketplace than in the temple. It's the both. Are you going to be like him? Are you going to do what he did? Like he did? Are you going to have a church home then? Are you going to be radical out in the marketplace? Good. You're getting there. You're not there yet because it isn't proven in your life, but you're getting there. Did you get that one? Are you still awake? Yes. Miracle of miracles. Yes. Thank you. Thank you, dear. So, the revelation came and this was what it was. I would report back to my precious, beautiful pastor, lovely man of God, who released him and me completely to this outdoor evangelism stuff and everything that we did and all that that was outside the church curriculum. But he would want us to come back and report as a point of just our submission and he wanted to know what we were doing. And I would report the souls that I was leading to Christ, the many, and the ways it would be done. And he would be interested in listening. And the Holy Spirit showed me that my motive was absolutely mixed when I would report to, not when I was out amongst the souls. That wasn't any conviction at all then. But when I would come back and report to the pastor, there was a mixed motive. I wanted the pastor to be impressed with me as a soul winner. And it was stinking, horrible pride. And God showed me I was touching the glory that belonged to Jesus alone. I was absolutely wiped out. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed and sobbed as though my being, there would not be a tear left in my body. And I was absolutely changed. And then the Holy Spirit said to me, I'm not through with you yet. I said, what more? Keep going. He said, I want you to go to your pastor and tell him exactly what I have showed you here today. I said, yes, sir. Made an appointment. I had to wait. Remember, was agony waiting the three days before I could get the appointment. Went into a study and told him everything I've told you. He was an older man and he just leaned forward quietly. Man of few words, man of great depth. And he just said the sentence as he listened quietly to me. Few are this serious about Christian things. That's all he said. But it was terrifically encouraging. That's all he said. You might've thought, well, wasn't that enough? That was all I needed to hear. He heard, he understood, and he knew I'd come. Now, does the telling of this experience give you a desperate desire to know the truth about yourself? Let me make a statement here. Never forget this. When a person says to me, I want truth, I say, are you willing for a revelation of your heart as God sees it? What? What did you say? I said, you heard me. We're only as longing and as desperate for truth as we are to know our hearts as God sees it. Because when he gives the revelation of what only he can see, it's his kindness to bring us to repentance so that we can be more like Jesus. Now, we're going to move now into the application. This is not the end of my teaching at all. I would be, I would have another 30 minutes to finish. What God put in my heart, now I have a terrific conflict, I have a conflict here. When I look at what I can't tell you and what I went through to get, to give this to you, and what it means, I'm torn between submission to leadership, which I understand, and what I've been through to not give. Jesus help me. Oh, how can I not give this? When I'm submitted to headship, Holy Spirit speak to me. Yes. Well, if, if I can just even just get the headlines. I agree. Thank you. But you can see how seriously I took your note, dear. Yes. What I'm coming to is so crucial. You'll know when I come to it. You'll understand. You'll understand when I come to it. And it's the last point. It's the last point. What time is it? 935? Yes. You guys okay with it? Yeah! Okay. Okay. Let's just... This is for the serious, I guess, tonight, right? Yeah. The fifth point is desperate prayer for others who are in desperate need. Desperate prayer for others in desperate need. Jeremiah 22:16 Jeremiah 22:16 He judged the cause of the poor and the needy. Then it was well. And then this amazing statement comes, a question comes in the Word of God. Was judging the cause of the poor and the needy? Was not this knowing me, says the Lord? Part of knowing God is desperate prayer for the poor and the needy. The Word says so. There's a ministry called Life International. James and Betty Robertson are on Christian television networks, plural, all over, with their television programs, and they are calling desperately every single... They're on five nights a week all over the networks. And they're calling desperate prayers for desperate needs, desperately to give them money. What for? Three things. Drilling water wells in many nations where the only water is horribly polluted and thousands and thousands and thousands are dying because the only water they have is desperately polluted water where animals are in, where they're defecating in, human beings are in and defecating in. It's filthy, it's full of poison, and that's all they can give their children, and their children get ill and die in their arms. And he is calling for money unashamedly. Why not? He has the heart of God, he and his wife, Betty. And they're calling for us to join with them. And do you know where he gets his knowledge from? The missionaries around the world. They've gone, he and Betty, around the world, found the missionaries, who are genuine, and who are meeting the needs of the people, but they don't have the money. They can't drill a water well. It costs, what is it for a well? $4,500 or something to drill a water well, just to get fresh water. And this year, right now, the Robesons are committed to getting 500 more wells drilled in 32 different nations to people who are starving and dying with polluted water. I tell you, this is God, and it's on God's heart. I have the great privilege of not only praying for them, but giving financially to them every week. It's the least I can do. Then for twice a year, they send out the terrific challenge for the water wells. Get this, 32 different nations, 500 more wells. Isn't that colossal, their vision? And they believe in God for the money to come from you and me. Then they shift, once they've done that for twice a year, then they shift, and they put out the call for millions of starving children who have absolutely not a crumb of food to eat. They're in areas where there is no vegetation, there is no farming, there's just if the ground is absolutely parched, they show photos of it, there's not a tree standing, there's not a blade of grass, and they're just starving, there's nothing, and their children dying in their arms. And even when they get into clinics, the children are so far gone that anything they can give them is beyond help. And so they get a bowl of like a very intensely nutritious kind of porridge with a whole lot of nutrients in them, and they send this out, and they've raised money for little red plastic bowls, and you see the children by the thousands lining up to get their little bowls as it's scooped. That's their only meal a day, as it's given from the networks. Then the third thing they do is building houses and orphanages for the families who have no homes. Then they show you what they call a home, and it's just a shack with some leaves and, oh, it's not even worth calling a house at all. But it's their only form of existence. Okay, now, Lamentations 2, verses 11 to 12 says, My eyes are spent with weeping, this is the prophet Jeremiah, my soul is in tumult, my heart is poured out in grief. This is what God's wanting for you and me to do. Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because infants and babes faint in the streets of the city, they cry to their mothers, where is the bread and wine, as they faint like wounded men in the streets of the city as their life is poured out on their mother's bosom. You see, if I can't match the word of God to what I'm telling you, then I don't tell you. Listen to this one, Proverbs 24, verse 11. I'm now talking about the millions of children that right now, as we sit here, are in the womb of mothers who right now are planning to kill the babies. Millions. Now, as we sit, what are we going to do? What are we going to do? Nothing? I can't tell you how many times when my darling husband and I, interceding for America, and interceding for the babies in the womb, that we've cried out, my God, we've said, right now, sovereignly, right across this nation, at this moment, bring deep conviction to every single woman that is planning to kill her baby in the womb. Praying desperate prayers, united together, believing, and we know millions stopped because we prayed, in faith, in Jesus' name. In faith, in Jesus' name. Is it the will of God that they be aborted? Is it? Is it the will of God that we rise up and cry out to God that they will be given an alternative? Don't heap judgment on them. We've prayed, God, show the women, show them that there's another way, either to bring the baby to full birth and give it to the millions of mothers who are wanting to adopt the child, or keep the child themselves, but show them for their own sake that they're going to go into mental anguish when they realize afterwards they've killed their own flesh and blood, their babies that murdered it. That realization comes to every mother who's aborted a child later, and they go into mental anguish. You can save all that with intercession. I'm calling for you tonight. Now you wonder why I wanted to get to this point, because it's a passion of my life. It's a passion of my life. I'm crying at all the time. Stop! Almighty God, you who made and created the sun and the moon and the stars, and with your spoken word created a universe, you can speak to a million, millions of women right now who are thinking of aborting a child, and you can say to them, don't do this. And they'll hear your voice, and they'll heed it, and they'll stop. You can be the intercessor who cries out, and God's hand is moved, and the babies are born. Do you know that the man, James Robson, who heads this ministry, was a child who was conceived in the womb of his mother through a rape, whose mother was raped went through hell over that raping experience, and she was about to abort the child because of being raped, and she went to a doctor who happened to be a Christian, and he said, I will not abort this child. And the Christian said to his mother, there's a way out for you. You either keep it, or it can be this child in your womb. You can keep it yourself, and he'll be your son, or and his mother was 42 at the time. Raped at 42. It was all to do with a doctor and a nurse, and I don't know, something to do with she was the nurse, and he was the patient or something, and he rose up and raped her. It was just ghastly. Anyway, she decided, she changed her mind because a Christian doctor spoke to her and said, I will not do this. And she brought forth this man, James Robinson, and I don't know, listen to me, I don't know a spiritual leader in America today who is more out on the cutting edge of a, uniting the body of Christ together, as Jesus prayed in John 23, for unity. I don't know a spiritual leader who is more broken in his heart and more humble and more loving. I don't know a spiritual leader who is calling more for the poor and the needy. I don't know a man nearer to the heart of God in spiritual leadership than this man. Proverbs 24, 11, deliver those who are drawn toward death and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If that doesn't describe babes in the womb, I don't know what does. And then there are the children and the young women held captive as slaves in sex trafficking. Whoo! Boy, I'll have to have some more water to just... The burden is so great. The burden is so great. The need is so great. Oh, hell is so horrible. Satan has spewed out the most vile, violent, heinous, horrible stuff beyond human comprehension in creating into the minds of men that they can get sexual gratification through holding as children slaves. Do you know that they're held in little rooms like cubicles and they lie on a mat and can be, can have a forced into ghastly sexual acts. Imprisoned. Imprisoned. Can't escape. Can't get out. Nowhere to go. Nobody to help them. Violated emotionally. They're like, they're treated worse than animals. And there are millions of them. Are you hearing me? What are you doing about it? What are you doing about it? Tell me anybody in this room that has this passion for the sex trafficking. Just to encourage me. What? Less than a quarter of you. No wonder we need the message. Listen to this. This is as update as about 10 days ago. I was watching in my home Daystar Christian Television Network. And I was hearing the first hand reports of two of the daughters of the leaders of the Daystar Television Network. Marcus and Joni Land. Their two daughters were among those and others on the staff of the Daystar Network. There were about five of them. His wife, two daughters and three other women. How many is that? Six. And they went to India and got a Christian missionary who was involved with the reaching the women, young women who are held prisoners captive in sex trafficking who cannot escape. They're absolutely like in a prison. And they went and found this missionary and he was able to take them right into one of the leading red light districts in India. Now this is right up to date. They'd just come back and were giving the report on Christian Television Network. And this is what they found. They went right into the brothel. They saw everything. They had hidden cameras that were able to captivate any. We saw the women, the young women This is so ghastly. This is so unbelievable. Young women are put in cubicles. One of the women said, you couldn't call it a small room. They said it wasn't wider. And one of them went like this with their arm. It wasn't wider than my body and one arm. Like in a cubicle and there's a bed and the intense heat. No air conditioning. No fan. Intense dreadful heat. They were just pouring down perspiration. They are in these cubicles servicing sexually 60 customers a day. You wouldn't treat an animal like that. You wouldn't put an animal through that. And here's the worst part. If that's not bad enough and I saw this with my own eyes 10 days ago. One of the young women talked to one of the girls because through the missionary they got right in. And they talked right to the girls and they said this. We love you. We love you. We've come from America to tell you that God loves you and you don't have to live like this. And he's got a way of escape. This man who brought us here is a man of God. He's a pure, holy humble man of God. And he has a house that has been given to him by other Christians. And it's a beautiful home. And you can have your own bedroom. And you can walk out free today with this man. Because the authorities were not looking at the time. They got it all at the exact time where they could just get the girls alone. And they said you can walk free today. He'll house you in this work. Beautiful women of God work with him. He can be trusted and they can. They love you. They've got the housing. You don't have to do a thing. They'll feed you. They'll clothe you. They'll teach you skills. How you can earn a trade for yourself. You can be free today. Will you come with us? I can't stand it. I can't bear it. What was I heard? The girl looked back and said I don't believe you. Nobody could be that kind. Oh God. Oh God. God. God. It's another way I've got to pray. I've got to pray now. You touch the hearts of the ones that when we do go that they'll believe. They'll believe. They'll believe. God only you can make them believe. To have them trapped and they won't come out because they don't believe. Jesus. Reveal yourself to them. Show them yourself in dreams and visions like you're doing to the Muslims. Show them you are the way. You are the truth. You are the life. Give them dreams and visions and then tell them Jesus in the dreams. My servants are coming to tell you to go to freedom. You'll have to do it Holy Spirit. Oh I can't bear it. That girl stayed there when she could have been. She could have been set free. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. I can't. I can't bear it. Do you know why she couldn't believe? Because to get in to be caught in the traffic, sex trafficking a man came to her and said I will give you a house. I will give you food. I'll give you clothing. I'll look after you. And said made it out that he loved her and the young girl believed. Believed. She trusted the man and he lied. And he lied. And that's all she's heard is lies from men that she can't trust. So some American comes and says we've got it. And she thinks she's just the same as the others. That's why it's got to have a revelation of Jesus in dreams and visions because they'll stay trapped as prisoners as objects of men's lust. And you came to give them life and to give it to them more abundantly. You came for them to be beautiful women of God. You came for them to be like these beautiful young women here sitting here listening to the word of God and the ways of God in the spirit of God. Why shouldn't they have that opportunity? Oh God, speak to your church. Break our hearts with what breaks your heart. Break our hearts with what breaks your heart. And cause us to stand in the gap until they believe because they say oh my, the Jesus you speak about, he came to me in a vision like you've done to millions of Muslims who now are believing. Do it to those caught in the sex trap. Thank you that you will. If you brought me here to nothing else but weep and break my heart and pray that prayer, it was worth tonight to me. Psalm 82 verses 3 to 4, defend the poor and the fatherless. Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and the needy. Free them from the hand of the wicked. That's if you need Bible verses. I told you there's a verse to back up everything I'm telling you. And there's one more burden that's as great on my heart as the one I've just told you. God enabled me to get it out. The nation that I'm far more burdened for, far more burdened than any other nation is North Korea. Do you know what's happening in North Korea? Out in the forest there's a concentration camp. And it's full of people. And their crime is that they didn't bow to the communist regime. That's their crime. Nothing else. And they're locked up and they're tortured and it's been going on for years and years and years. They hang them up by their feet and drop them down like this with ropes. And they hang with ropes around their feet to the ceiling for days on end. And they cry out the people in the torture to die and cannot die. They have no hope. They've never seen anything but this. They've been locked up, some of them since children. But two, two only have escaped. Everything I'm telling you has been documented and shown on television. I'm speaking gospel truth, every detail. There's no exaggeration. If anything, it's understated. They're tortured. They're kept there. They know nothing about the outside world. And God sovereignly allowed a young boy of about eight to escape and one older man. And that's all the humans that have ever come out of this concentration camp that's been going on for years and years and years to escape. And they've come out to the world and told what's going on. The communist government have been challenged by this and have been asked what they are going to do about that concentration camp out in the forest. And they have said there's no such thing. That's their answer. There isn't one. Lies. Can you hear that and not be moved? Can you hear that and not get a desperate burden for those people being tortured in there year after year after year screaming to die and can't die? No crime. Innocent. I have cried as though my life depended upon it to God for years. For years. For this day. For God. I've said, God, just turn on an earthquake. You can do that just like that. You've only just got to open your mouth and like that and have an earthquake and they can all just have an earthquake and they can all get out and escape. He hasn't answered that prayer yet. I've prayed everything I can think and know to God to get these people free. It is a huge burden on my heart. I can only discharge it, weeping and weeping before the Lord, believing that somehow, somewhere, someway, someday, God will break through and release those people. I give it to you. He told me to tell you. Psalm 100 and I'm going to read Psalm 79 verse 11. Listen to it. It's in relation to this burden. These are the scriptures he's given me. Psalm 79 verse 11. Let the groans of the prisoners come before you according to your great power preserve those doomed to die. Does that not say it? Is that a command or is that a suggestion? Let the groans of the prisoners come before you. This is how you intercede. Say this is what your word says. According to your great power preserve those doomed to die. I've got written across my Bible, North Korea. Another verse. Psalm 102 verses 18 through 20. More verses this time. Psalm 102 18 through 20. Let this be recorded for a generation to come so that a people yet unborn may praise the Lord. And what is it that the psalmist is crying out to God? Let this happen. What is the happening? Look. That he looked, God, looked down from his holy height from heaven. The Lord looked at the earth to hear the groans of the prisoners and to set free those who were doomed to die. I've written North Korea again. Do you need any more scriptures? Is it plain? Is it clear? Is it the word of God? Is he telling us to get serious about the poor and the needy? And these are the, I'm giving you the most desperate people that I know of on planet earth. I don't know any more desperate than the children. They show you James Robinson with all the hidden cameras. He's got a whole lot of missionaries, a team of them. They go through with hidden cameras and they see the little cubicles with an iron vase and in the room and all that little child they take them in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and you see a mat on the floor and bars like this. They're in a cell this size day after day being exposed to filthy ghastly stuff that their little innocent minds never were meant to even think or hear about. I can't bear it. I'll go into sobs again. I'll have to get off to bed. Last point very briefly. I'm not going to do it in full like I did in the last one. I'm just going to allude to it and stop. This point can also include interceding with desperate intensity for a spiritual leader who has seriously failed. It's too important not to give it to you, but I will not expand on it. It's praying desperate prayers for a spiritual leader who has seriously failed. Moses interceded for Aaron his brother when God said after Aaron had built got the golden calf and put it together God says I'm through with him. I don't care what he's been. The priest and he's been your leader and he's been your mouthpiece, Moses, but I can't tolerate a man who built a calf and cooperate with an idolatry. I've had him. And Moses stands in the gap and prays desperate prayers and Aaron's life is spared. Exactly the same for Miriam, his sister who had leprosy because she had touched the Lord's anointed, which was her brother, and he interceded for her and not immediately but later she was healed. Now I have never heard anybody in my entire 87 years ever tell you what I'm going to tell you now. Never. I've never read it in a book. Never heard it. And I've been there, done that, and heard them and done that and heard them again. Moses had no intercessor when God pronounced his verdict to him. You shall not go into the promised land. With all that Moses had put up with that bunch of idolaters and unbelievers and murmurers and all the intercession that he'd gone on behalf of those people and the whole bit, God said, no, you will not see the fulfillment of all you've lived for because he had an uncontrolled tongue and temper. Three times in Moses' life the thing that was never dealt with was his uncontrolled temper. And when he saw the golden calf and the tablets that God had written with his own finger and God had made the tablet of stone himself and written with his own finger the Ten Commandments, and Moses took what God's finger had written and the tablet that God had created and he smashed them down in anger and had spoken as no other man or woman face to face with God. He knew. He knew God. He understood his character and his ways and despite that he desecrated in front of God what God had written in anger. Okay, so God says you've blown it. And you know what? I don't read anywhere, I've studied every single word about Moses' life in depth and in detail and there is nowhere anywhere that there was a sign of anyone who stood in the gap for him and interceded for him in desperate. Where was Joshua and Caleb when they heard this pronouncement? Where was Joshua and Caleb? They could have stood stood in the gap and pled with God like Moses had done for the children of Israel. What are you going to do when a spiritual leader fails badly? What are you going to do? Criticize? Walk away? Give up on them? Or are you going to say, God, I will stand in the gap. I will pay any price. I will stand there and I thank you for that leader. I thank you for the way I've been blessed by that life and I will do anything. I'll fast. I'll pray. I'll wrestle. I'll groan. I'm only telling you what I've done. You can be the one even when God has said I've given up on that leader and he's going to die and the leader knows it because they've heard from God. God has told me I'm going to die. God has said that to leaders. I know because they've told me. And what will you do? Say, well, I'll do something about that. I'll stand in the gap and I'll stay there till I hear the voice of God and I'll plead with God. I'll plead his character over you and I'll see then what God will say. I've done it and I've heard God change his mind and the leaders live. Will you do that? Will you be desperate? Colossians 4 12, Epaphras is one of you a bond servant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers. Always laboring fervently for you in prayers. That was Epaphras. Nobody ever talks about this saint. That you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Could we have the distribution now of what I've written for you, for each one of you. There should be enough for everybody, should there? Did we have enough printed? It's the application of this message. I want you to look at it now but I want you to take them home. It's 10.15. I want you to take them home. I want you to pour over it in front of God. Say, God, I'm reading this application of this message tonight in your presence and I want you to answer the questions that are on the sheet. It's God's homework for you. Put up your hand if you haven't got one so that you Oh, okay. They're coming. I've done the homework for you so that you can apply these truths to the fullest extent in your life and fulfill the purpose of why we've been together today. Could someone hand me one, please? But the whole of the last point was will you have and get a desperate burden in the place of prayer from God for this nation of America, which is in the absolute pits, pits. It's never been worse in its entire history. Never in the entire history of the nation of America have we been so ripe for judgment. And all I can say is there's a whole message there which I can't give tonight. But all I can say is this. If you will get in the place of prayer and ask God to make you, show you his mind and his heart over America. America can be redeemed. It can be. It can be. And there's because God had, I'm not going to preach the whole thing so you can relax. God has always had a remnant. You study the word of God. Take the history of Genesis to Revelation. God has had a remnant no matter how bad it was in any nation on the world at any time. There was always a little remnant who cried out to God. And you can be part of that remnant that can cause, I believe you can take this to the bank. You can do what you like with it. You can quote me and a lot of people are not going to agree with me. That doesn't bother me one instance or change my mind. I believe God has shown me there will be judgment and there will be the greatest revival that this nation has ever seen. Vote. But it doesn't come through clapping. Not that you were wrong to clap. You were right to clap. But it only comes as the remnant. It will only come that revival will only come as the remnant get desperate before God and come before Him and humble themselves and break and weep and confess sin and change their ways and stop playing church and we really do have a move of God every time we come together. Because the spiritual leaders have been in the place of prayer seeking the face of God, doing and saying only what God says instead of having a program of men's. And when there's repentance of all the stuff that's in the ways of men in the church and not the ways of God. When all this change takes place God will come and He'll pour out His Spirit like we've never seen. We ain't seen nothing yet baby. But there's a price to pay and it's desperate prayer and humility and faith and faith that God will, will come. He will. If we will, He will. End of message.
