People You Wont Find In The New Jerusalem

But here this morning, I want you to turn in your Bibles with me to Revelation 21. Revelation 21, and we're on our series searching for a city with foundations. And this is part nine here this morning.

We've already taught and preached eight messages on this series. And we are, in the weeks to come, going to deal more specifically. I'm just building into this.

This has been my foundation. In the weeks to come, I want to explicitly lay out what the eternal state, heaven, New Jerusalem, the new heaven and earth is going to be like for a real believer. I want to explain it from Scripture.

I want you to have a clear view what the reward of the righteous is, how God is going to bless them eternally without end, fully without measure. Can you imagine the joy and blessing and love of God poured out upon you without measure, without hindrance, without your own mind and flesh hindering that, that you experience fully the love of God. You only get a little taste of it here, but there's an hour coming, and it will be unquenchable, unhindered.

What a day that's going to be. We're going to read here from Revelation chapter 21, verse 5 to verse 8. My message this morning, people you won't find in the New Jerusalem. Revelation 21 and verse 5, and he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things. And I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

The fearful and unbelieving, the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Let's pray together. Father, thank you for the word of God, what the Holy Spirit has written to us eternally.

It is true. It is faithful. And Lord God, we are asking of you.

Lord God, do you minister of your truth this morning. Lord God, we're asking for the seriousness of these words to even grip every single soul in this room. Even our friends, O God, that aren't okay with English.

Will you help them that the Spirit of God might minister unto them in Jesus' mighty name? Would you minister to the children in this gathering? Thank God they're not in a back room being entertained this morning. But they're here as a part of the body of Christ to hear the word of God. And Father, we ask that the weightiness of eternity would weigh upon us.

O God, that we would glory in the promises and the blessings and what you've stored up for those that love you, the righteous of God, those that obey you. But O God, that we tremble at the thought of sinners that are outside of Christ that rebel against you, that disobey your word, that walk in darkness. O God, that we tremble at those that have turned their back on your gospel, your love, your grace, your mercy, your kindness, your patience.

Nor God, the hypocrite that plays games with these things. Nor God, the religious who merely walk in the deadness of their heart. But O God, we want a heart aflame this morning, loving the Lord Jesus Christ, grateful that we're not on our way to hell this morning, that we're not facing the lake of fire.

But O God, that we are considering and looking for a new heaven and a new earth, the new Jerusalem where we shall dwell with the Lord Jesus Christ. For he is all the glory there. He is the light thereof.

Lord God, he is the temple in that city. And Lord Jesus, we love you. We worship you.

We bless you. You are our salvation, our wisdom. You're the strength of our life.

We love you and we desire you. And we long for that day when we're going to see you face to face and worship you and to know you even as you know us. What a day that's going to be when my Jesus I shall see in Jesus' mighty name.

Amen. Please do turn your phone off. If you have your phone, turn it off or silence it, please, for the preaching of the word for our entire gathering.

You don't need it this morning. Amen. My message, people you won't find in the new Jerusalem.

In part eight, the last part, I looked at certain things. I looked at things that will not be in the new heaven and the new earth. Things that you won't find there.

Remember what we dealt with? There'll be no tears. Aren't you glad? There'll be no death. There'll be no sorrow.

There'll be no crying out. There's going to be no pain, no sickness, no suffering. There's going to be no curse.

And we went on and we looked at all these things. What is eternity going to be for a real believer? What is the new heaven and the new earth? What is my experience going to be? It's going to be glorious. All the things we consider bad, sorrow in this life, you won't have them there.

You're not going to find them there. Why? Because Jesus died on a cross for you. Because God so loved you.

There's a day coming. Those things are only for this life. And you know what? The righteous, as well as the sinner, experience all these things.

They all experience tears, all experience pain, all experience death. The righteous and the wicked. But there's a day coming when the righteous will never again experience any of those things.

But I want to move on here. And in the weeks ahead, I want to lay out a glorious vision of eternity for those that love Jesus. But before I do that, just like I've already looked at Judas, whose name won't be there.

He missed this. I want to look here at people you won't find in the New Jerusalem. They're not there.

You won't find them. Again, it says here where we just read in Revelation 21 and verse 5. It says, And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Right.

This is the Lord Jesus Christ sitting on the throne. He says, Behold, I make all things new for the believer. Everything made new.

Everything changed. Jesus Christ who died for you, who suffered on a cross, who so loved you that he gave his own life. The one that bear the wrath of God, that bore your sin upon him on the cross.

The one who prayed for you in the garden of Gethsemane. The one on the cross who prayed, Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.

That same Jesus is now sitting on the throne. And he says, Behold, look, stop, scrutinize, stare at. I make everything new.

Since there's a glorious vision of the Bible where God makes everything new, he changes all things. Nothing is left changed. Christ himself, like he created all things in Genesis chapter 1. Jesus done that.

Jesus is the creator. The same hand that was nailed to a cross is the same one who created all things by the power of his word. The very same Jesus.

You know what? He's the one that's here in this garden. And he loves you this morning. He suffered for you.

You know what? He makes all things new. But look with me at verse 7 for a moment as we go into this message. It says, He that overcometh shall inherit all things.

And I will be his God and he shall be my son. Our God in heaven is telling us about the new heaven and new earth, the new Jerusalem, about eternity for those who love him. Do you know what he says? He that overcometh all things.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things. There's a condition here. Those that overcome will inherit all things.

There's certain people are not going to inherit eternal life. Joy, forgiveness, blessing, joy unspeakable, peace that cannot be measured. There's some people are not going to get this.

Do you know who heaven is for? Eternity, blessing, God, reward. Do you know who it's for? He that overcometh. Now notice this word overcometh.

The word actually means to subdue, to conquer, to overcome, to prevail against or to get the victory. There's a certain kind of people and you only have a short time. Maybe it's 20 years.

I've had young friends in their teens and 20s who died tragically. I had a young man at school with me, 17 years old, he died. He used to wear all the ACDC t-shirts and he'd come up and laugh.

He was a nice guy, pleasant guy, but he was a mocker of God. He would do his salute and mock me and try to provoke, just having a laugh in the classroom. 17 years old on a Saturday night coming home from the pub, he went around the corner not far outside our town on his motorbike and hit a car and went into eternity, lost, never to get a second chance.

I stood by the coffin of my cousin, 29 years old. At times he used to tremble under deep conviction and pursue after God. And then at other times he threw it off and said, no, I just love the things of this world.

And as I stood there with that coffin with his sister's crown, 29 years old, out into eternity on a Sunday morning, as his horse bolted into the river and he couldn't swim, lost, never to get a second chance. It's not the old who always die, often the young die. You young people ought to take that serious.

Your days are numbered, every one of you. There is a day of reckoning, a day when your life is cut off. What you pursue after will come to an end.

You better make sure that you choose right. Your days are numbered. There's a finality to all of this.

And so the Lord here in these verses, he says, he that overcometh, he that gets the victory in this short period of time over sin, temptation, the world, the devil, failure, the lust of the flesh, the allurements in around you, he that gets the victory over that, who triumphs. You've only got a short time to overcome, to get the victory, to triumph, to prevail against. You're only here for a short time.

It's a quick run. It's a short race. When you're young, you think, oh, that's a lifetime.

It's a long time. No, it's not. It goes briefly.

Man's day is brief on the earth. Eternity is long, everlasting, without end. And so the Bible says, now in this lifetime, on this earth, now in this life, in a real world, he that overcomes here will inherit all things in eternity.

It will be yours only to those who overcome, and I will be your God. I want to mention some things here from Revelation 21 and Revelation 22. It's the end of the Bible.

I want to mention some people you won't find in the new Jerusalem. They won't be there. They cannot be there.

And see, the things I mentioned are sins. The Lord, in this chapter, the Holy Spirit has given us a list, not just of sins, but people who are sinners. We often hear in the church, people say, oh, God hates the sin, but he loves the sinner.

That is not right. There are sinners the Bible says he actually hates. You know why? Because your sin becomes so much a part of your life.

It's who you are. And there are certain things God does detest, and you're going to see it here in these verses. All through the New Testament, you have lists of sins.

We don't often get preached on, but at times I preach on this. I preach on lists of sins. You know why? Because in Galatians and Corinthians and Revelation and various books of the Bible, and in Matthew, Jesus even lists, and he lists sin after sin after sin after sin, or sinner after sinner after sinner.

Why do you think the Bible does that? See, we don't preach like that, but the apostles did, and Jesus did. They lay out and make very clear. We're very unclear in today's church.

We're obscure. We minimize that side of it and just preach his love. Oh, I do preach the love of God and the grace of God and the mercy of God and the power of God.

I believe in it overwhelmingly. I want to tell you I do. But do you know why it's so real to me? Because I know how bad these things are.

And so we're going to look what the Holy Spirit says and what God says, and what kind of person will not be in the new Jerusalem. They're not going to get on the gateway. They don't stand a chance.

There's certain people in the church, they deceive themselves, thinking they can be like this, but they'll still get into heaven. No way. It's impossible.

And so I want to lay out for you some people, and this is only a taste, who will not be there. They cannot be there. God forbids it.

Let me embark on this in verse eight. Because we are going to go in and show the rewards to the righteous, what we're going to inherit. But I want to show you those who will miss out on it completely.

It says in Revelation 21 in verse eight, but the fearful, you and I wouldn't put that first, but God put it first. The first kind of person that will not get in the new Jerusalem, you'll never find them there, is the fearful. This is what the Bible calls them, the fearful.

The word actually means to be timid, or to dread, or to be cowardly. They're not going to be in heaven. Neither are they going to be in the new Jerusalem, the new heaven, and the new earth.

They won't be there. Now you and I know, has anyone been afraid here? Would anyone here consider themself a fearful person? I'm sure there is. I'm sure at times you regularly face fear, or even cowardice.

But the Bible says no fearful person is going to get into that city. If they're fearful in this life, if they haven't overcome that, they'll never be in that city. But let me explain what this word means, fearful.

It's talking about an excessive fear, to the point of losing heart or fainting. It's talking about someone that's so afraid, so scared, so timid, so lacking in courage, that they'll compromise. They're scared of men, scared of opinions, scared of husband or wife, scared of friends, what they will say or think.

And so they compromise. They're scared to be known as a Christian, to testify about being a Christian, to make their stand for Christ in this world. You're a coward.

You're a coward. God himself calls you a coward. You're scared of identifying with Christ.

You're ashamed of him. Remember what Jesus said, if you're ashamed of me here, I'll be ashamed of you there. If you don't speak for me here, I won't speak for you there.

You can't have it both ways. You see, a cowardly person, you may think you're very courageous to sin, to be with sinners, to go out there in the world. You're a coward.

I've said it time after time in this city. I've had to do with the young guys in this city. They're cowards who are sinners.

I met them brazen, strong, muscle-bound, big egos. They attack old ladies with iron bars. Oh, I've known them all, all in this city.

They're the most cowardly men I've ever met in my entire life. No courage. No courage.

See, sin destroys courage. It really does. And so the Bible says, the first listed will not get into the new Jerusalem.

Cowards, they're fearful. You fear men, you're scared of man more than me. You don't deserve in my heaven.

Listen to what it says in Matthew 10, 28. Jesus speaking, fear them which kill the, sorry, fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear him which is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.

People say, oh, fear in God doesn't mean to be afraid. It just means respect. No, it doesn't.

Jesus said you ought to fear God because he can cast you into hell. You ought to fear God. You're a fool if you don't fear God.

Because God himself has power to cast your body and your soul into an eternal hell. But look what Jesus said. Do not fear man.

Even if it's the point of killing you to say, deny your faith or you're dead. You'll get stoned. You'll be shot.

You'll be persecuted. Or because we're so lighthearted in this hour, we'll laugh at you or we'll defriend you on Facebook or some other technology. That's the most horrendous thing for a young person or an adult in this world to not get five likes.

It's horrendous. Don't you live on to God in this hour? Aren't you seeking his approval? Do you see how the fearful man, Jesus lays this out very clearly. The fear in all of our hearts is a real thing.

In Matthew chapter 8 and Mark chapter 4, this same word fearful is used of the disciples in the storm. Remember when Jesus was asleep in the bottom of the boat and a storm came in and they went down and they woke him and said, master, we perish. Jesus said, why do you fear? Where is your faith? Or you have such little faith.

So a genuine believer can have this fear. Oh, yes. They can have the same fear.

It's a terror. I'm going to perish. Lord, don't you care? That's the same fear.

But you know what? It's when that fear makes you ashamed of Jesus or that fear or cowardice stops you from living holy or doing what's right. You just capitulate. You give into the devil.

You give into the world. You give into family. You give into the pressures.

You know what you are? You're a coward. You'll never get into heaven. You're so scared, cowardice, lacking braveness of heart, lacking the ability to fear God and honor him.

You won't get there. You're scared of man here. You're in a terrible condition.

It says over in Deuteronomy in the New Testament or in the Old Testament, chapter 20 and verse eight. And this is Moses speaking to the people. And he says, when you as the people of God are going out to war, listen to what he says.

Speak to the people of what man there is that is fearful and faint hearted. Let him go and return to his house. Lest his brethren's heart as well as their heart faint.

Do you see the fear or faint heartedness? Fear is connected to your heart fainting, losing courage, running, scared, leaving your position. And the Bible says, don't put that person in the battle because it'll spread. You don't want that there.

It says in Second Timothy, chapter one and verse seven, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. This is a real Christian. You might be weak and fearful in the natural or like the disciples, scared of a storm saying, God, don't you care about me? But you better not have that fear that makes you ashamed of Jesus.

Your eternity depends on it. Takes courage to be a Christian, real courage, brave hearts. That's the real courageous ones of our world.

They're not scared of anything in this world. They'll stand against all hell, against the whole nation. If need be, they'll just stand and say, Jesus is alive.

Second of all, the unbelieving, fearful, unbelieving. This means to not have faith or it means to be unfaithful, to not keep believing, not being trustworthy, not leaning upon God, believe in his word, obey in his word. The unbelieving are not going to get into the new Jerusalem.

It says in Hebrews chapter 11, verse six, but without faith, no faith. It is impossible to please God. Impossible.

If you don't have faith, you can't please God. God needs to be pleased and only faith actually pleases him. And so without faith, it's impossible to please God for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

When you come to God, you've got to believe that he honors faith, that he's pleased with faith, that he delights in faith. You've got to believe God. Someone who's riddled with doubt, skepticism, that isn't sure of anything.

You're in dangerous ground. See, it starts with you go, I'm not sure that verse in the Bible is true. I'm not sure he loves me.

I'm not sure there's a real heaven. I'm not sure. You're actually on very dangerous ground.

Someone who doesn't believe in the new Jerusalem won't get to the new Jerusalem. Someone who doesn't believe in an eternal life, they won't be there. They're excluded.

God says, if you don't have faith, you're not pleasing me. Faith is the greatest of things in the heart of the believer to believe. You know, the greatest thing you can do for me to honor me, to give me respect is simply believe my word.

If you don't believe me, you're saying I'm either a liar or untrustworthy. And to do that with God to say, I don't believe what you say. I don't believe this is true.

Do you honestly think God's going to make some way for you to get into his eternity? No way. It says in Romans 10 verse 9, but if thou shall confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised them from the dead, then now shall be saved. Believers are going to heaven when they die.

Not sinners, not skeptics, not half believers, but those who believe in Jesus. He's risen from the dead. He's my savior.

You're on your way to heaven. This is what the Bible calls being born again. When you get born again, you have faith.

You instantly know. I know he created all things. I know he made everything.

I know Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 is true. I know that the second I stop breathing, I'm going to open up my eyes in eternity. I'm going to look on the face of Jesus.

I'm going to see him. It's so real. And so the Bible talks about this faith, but notice certain people are not going to be there.

The unbelieving, skeptical. But how do you know? How do I know the Bible's true? I believe in asking questions. You ought to ask questions.

But when your mind and heart is so riddled with skepticism, you haven't even tried to find answers. Come to me. I'll give you answers.

There's very few questions you're going to ask that I won't give you an answer to today immediately. I've heard them all. I've seen all through the years.

Sinners coming. Ha ha. What about this? They think they're the first person in all of history ever thought that up.

And they always come proud and bright saying, well, what about that? That's unanswerable. I go, I've heard it 10,000 times in about 50 different countries from 1,000 different sinners. And actually, it's so common and it's so easy to answer.

But here's a skeptic who doesn't believe. You won't get in his heaven. Imagine not believing.

God offers you eternity. No pain, a place of eternal joy, eternal reward to be with him eternally. And you say, no, no, no, no.

I don't believe it. It's too good to be true. You're going to miss out on this.

You better make sure of your eternity. It says in Hebrews chapter 3 verse 12, take heed, brethren, speaking of Christians in the church, take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief and departing from the living God. So he's warning people who are in the church who believe, but he's warning them against an evil heart of unbelief coming into them because he says an evil heart of unbelief makes you to depart.

You know why? Because as soon as you don't believe, you go, oh, I don't believe that anymore. I used to. I used to think that was right and it kept me and preserved me.

It made me fear God. I've got liberated. I can't believe that anymore.

And so they depart. They go their own way. There's nothing to protect them anymore.

What a dangerous thing that someone who has sat in the house of God, an evil heart of unbelief. Do you see what God calls unbelief? Evil. It's an evil heart.

If you have unbelief in your heart here this morning, it's not educated. It's not wise. It's not sophisticated.

It is evil. It is dark. It is destructive.

It will damn your soul. Unbelief in the heart. It is evil before God.

And you know what? God's going to judge it one day. He doesn't want to. He wants you to come to faith.

He doesn't want you to be fearful. He wants you to have a heart of fear towards him. It's so real.

Says in Hebrews 1038, no, the just shall live by faith. But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Do you see how lack of faith makes you draw away from God? Fall away from God.

Depart from God. Real faith keeps you with God. Makes you walk with God.

And the righteous do have faith. The real Christian has faith. The real Christian doesn't depart from God.

His faith makes him pursue after God. The third thing here, the abominable. Notice he's not just talking about sins, but persons.

The fearful, the unbelieving, the abominable. There are certain people in our world that God calls abominable. What does this word mean? It means abhorrent, detestable, loathsome.

This is God's attitude about these people. Utterly detestable. The word means that God cannot tolerate them.

He can hardly look at them. Their acts of rebellion are so extreme in his eyes. Their perversion, their daring of God is so bold.

God says, I detest them. He calls them. He gives them a name.

He says, those kinds of people are abominable to me. They act without restraint and it's a terrible thing. Terrible thing.

When you go into the Bible, it actually gives you a long list of people who God considers abominable. One of them is idol worshipers. Those that worship idols or statues or who worship the stars or the planets in heaven.

He calls them abominable. He cannot tolerate. Imagine worshiping a tree.

How does God look at that? It's abominable. Also, there's other sins listed that he calls abominable. For instance, homosexuality.

He says, that's an abomination. What else does he call an abominable person? A cross-dresser. Now you're being brainwashed in this hour from the schools, right the way through in your television set if you have one or the internet and the news media.

So we go, this is a quirk. This is how they are. You can't be biased against them.

They're born like that. Let's listen to what God says about it. Deuteronomy 22 and 5. The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man.

Neither shall a man put on a woman's garment. For all that do so are an abomination unto the Lord thy God. A cross-dresser is not just a hurting person or confused.

The Bible says it's an abomination to God. This is what God thinks about it. It's an abomination.

And I know someone can wear a kilt. I love to wear a Scottish kilt. It is very manly.

And I don't have a problem with a woman wearing a pair of trousers or slacks. I really don't. Though I love to see women in skirts.

But do you know what he's saying here? A woman ought to dress like a woman and a man like a man. A woman should never try to look like a man. And a man should never try to put on the gear of a woman.

It's an abomination to God. And so the Bible says, all that are abominable will not be in the new Jerusalem. That kind of person, you need to repent.

And remember, we've all been things in this room. You've all been sinners. The list I'm going through, it's all represented here at some stage or other in the history of this church.

We've had it all through the door. But do you know what Paul says to the church? Such were some of you. But you're justified.

You're sanctified. You've been redeemed by the blood. We were all these sins.

We were. But you know what? Jesus died for you, for sinners. There's got to be repentance.

We need to begin to see how God looks. God is not going to let anyone into his heaven or his city that's a sinner. No way.

The fourth thing is murderers. That means to take someone else's life illegitimate, illegitimately. In the Old Testament, it never talks about a soldier in war being a murderer, quite the opposite.

But someone under different regulations taking someone's life. Do you know what's included in this? Abortion. To abort a baby, you've murdered that baby.

That's common. I know we understand that. But let me go a bit further.

Doctors are nurses who deliberately and consciously bring about the death of their patients before their time. That's murder. And you know what? It happens in this city, in this nation.

It's happening. And if you don't know that, you don't know much. It's widespread.

It scares me that you've got educated people in positions and they're actually got blood on their hands. They're murderers. There's something wrong with them.

That isn't normal to be in a profession like that. And for you to decide the fate of an individual, it's very, very dangerous. But it's within our society.

Listen to what it says in Mark chapter 7, 21. Jesus speaking again. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications and murders.

Murder is a thing of the heart. It's not accidental. It's not just something that happens.

It's a thing of the heart. You cannot murder unless there's something wrong with your heart. You could never abort a baby unless there's something seriously wrong with your heart.

Even if you didn't want the baby or it seemed like an accident or even if it was a rape, they say, well, surely it's justified in the case of a rape. I could not do that. You know why? This heart is right with God.

Don't blame that baby in the womb for what some man done. Raise them in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is where bad things do happen to good people.

They really do. So Jesus said murder is a thing of the heart, not just the thing of the hand, not just an outward action. It's a thing deep within the heart.

You can't just become a murder by accident. You're a murder in your heart. It's a deep rooted thing.

Again, in Matthew chapter 5, 21, Jesus says, you have heard that it was said by them of old in the Old Testament under the law. Thou shalt not kill murder. And whosoever shall shall be danger of the judgment.

But I say unto you, listen to what he says, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment or less than this. 1 John chapter 3, verse 15, whosoever hate of his brother is a murderer. It's the apostle of love writing this, by the way, John.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer. You could be a murderer in heart and you've never murdered anyone or aborted a baby. But your attitude, who you are, you are basically in the sight of God a murderer because you hate.

Do you know how strong hatred and anger is in the heart? It is very destructive. God's not going to allow that in his heaven. That kind of person with hatred and anger in their heart, you're lost.

You're in seers. Oh, but you don't know what they've done to me. I don't care what they've done to you.

Look what they've done to Jesus on the cross. I've had people hurt me, lie on me, betray me all through the years. There's no hatred in this heart towards anyone.

The worst of enemies who set themselves against me, my heart is nothing but love towards them. I pray for my enemies. I love my enemies.

That's the heart of a Christian. But a murderer in heart or in action is not going to get into heaven. They won't be there.

It's impossible to. Then again, he lists here in verse 8, whoremongers. So you need to understand what these are.

Whoremongers, the word means to sell or to buy, to be sexually immoral. It means a culture of prostitution. Someone who thinks that's okay is not a Christian.

They can't be, and they're not going to heaven. Yes, you could fail. You could fall.

But you better repent and flee because no such person is going to get into God's heaven. We read in 1 Corinthians chapter 5 and 6, talking about the local church, Paul writing. And he says, if there's someone who calls himself a brother, but they're a whoremonger.

They're a sexually immoral person. But say, I'm a Christian. I can't lose it.

I'm born again. I have this life in me. I know where I'll go when I die.

You know what Paul says? Put them out of the church. Don't even eat a meal with them. Not talking about sinners out there.

We wouldn't eat anywhere. People say, don't buy off Amazon. If you knew what the leader of Amazon is like, you wouldn't buy.

I wouldn't buy from any of the shops on the high street either. I couldn't eat anywhere. I couldn't buy anything.

Couldn't get my milk. Sure, these sins are widespread in society. I'm not called to separate from sinners.

I'm called to separate from those calling themselves Christians who have low standards. See, they live and say, I'm a Christian. Those sins don't get into heaven.

I've heard good people, good Christians say, oh, this Christian died in a drunken state, but they're in heaven. This Christian was sleeping with his girlfriend and he died, but he's in heaven. Rubbish.

That's heresy. That denies the simple word of God. Whoremongers.

And listen, the word means to buy and sell your body. Do you know we have a whole worldwide trade that's exploded in my lifetime on the internet? A whole generation of females and males selling themselves. Whoremongering is bigger now than it's ever been in world history.

They're whoremongers. They may not actually be with a man, but they sell themselves for immorality. They are making money out of this, buying, selling.

This is whoremongering and it's been released on this generation widely. It is an evil thing. Look what it says in Hebrews chapter 13 and verse 4. Marriage is honorable in all, in every way marriage is.

And the bed, the marriage bed is undefiled. It's a pure thing. God created a man and woman to love one another, to know each other.

What beautiful terms the Bible uses. When Adam slept with Eve, he knew her, then she conceived. It's beautiful.

It's God created. I wish I could spend an hour on that, but I won't embarrass some of you. I might embarrass myself.

But this is a beautiful thing. There's nothing unholy. There's nothing unnatural.

It is a God made, created thing. Not a one of you would be here without this. But listen, but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

It's not okay. It is perverted. Banned from heaven.

Banned from the new Jerusalem. You'll never find a whoremonger in the new Jerusalem. You'll search a city of billions.

You're going to search the new heaven and new earth. There's no whoremonger. Not one of them is going to get in there.

Every single person that dies a whoremonger is going to go straight to hell eternally. Since a lot of people in this generation are going to go straight into hell for being whoremongers. That's who they are.

They may never have touched a man or woman, but they're whoremongers in heart and spirit. It's a devilish thing. The next word is saucers.

And that's silly. There's no saucers. This word in the Greek is the word pharmakous.

Pharmakous. It's where we get our word pharmacy for a chemist. This word used anciently, saucers, pharmacia.

The saucers in the old days, saucers. These men used drugs. These witches manipulated people.

These divinators, they used drugs, potions, chemicals, plants to bring a change of mind, a change in the body. You know what this verse is saying? No saucer is going to be in the kingdom of God. Won't be in the new Jerusalem.

You can't be, and I'm not talking about medical drugs for your health. And again, I could explain this more. I'm just being brief here.

When I'm telling you someone who habitually uses drugs to bring on another state of mind, to give them highs, altered states and conditions, you've been deceived. It's like sorcery. It's witchcraft of the deepest thing.

And it comes out of the soul. It is a perversion. God will never let a drug user, a cocaine user, a heroin addict into his heaven.

Never. I don't care how sorry they are. They may say I'm a victim.

You choose the first. You know what? I've never put the first drug in my body. I'm thankful.

A number of yous were drug users. I'm so thankful for the gospel. I'm so thankful for salvation.

I'm so thankful for parents around me, for friends, for a society. When I was in Northern Ireland growing up, you would never meet anyone who was a drug taker or user. Almost never in your entire life.

Now it's filled. In 30 years, drugs has come into an entire society. Why was my nation, my school, my town so protected from drugs? The gospel.

The gospel was widespread in the school. We had every week one minister of our choice who preached the gospel come in and preach to us in school for 45 minutes. I would love that in this city.

You ought to ask your teachers, will they let Malcolmson in to preach to them? They let all the other perversion in. I mean, I'm telling them, love one another. Do you know sorcery, drugs, has been unleashed on our world? On this generation in a phenomenal way.

All of these sins are damning an entire generation. You know why? This is the last generation. This is soon going to be over.

Time is running out. This same word, sorcery for pharmacia, using drugs. It is used elsewhere in the Bible.

It's used in Revelation 9. But it's used in Revelation 18, 23 about the last global city and world government that's soon going to arise. The rebuilt city of Babylon in Iraq. It's going to be a mega IT, technological society, the like of which you've never seen.

Mark my words, they're going to rebuild Babel again. Babylon, the ancient city. It's going to be restored.

And in Revelation 18, it says lots of things about that culture and society. This is one of the things. For thy merchants or thy businessmen were the great men of the earth.

For by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. So, it's talking about the last generation. The businessmen, the political system is going to use pharmacia to deceive all the nations.

Pharmacia, medical drugs. Do you know back in the 1930s, there was a man. His grandfather was the man who persuaded Darwin to go public with evolution.

So, here's the grandson. He's called Darwin's bulldog. By the way, his grandson wrote a book in the 1930s called Brave New World.

These are globalists who have affected our world. They knew where things were going. This is 1930, and he depicted in this novel a story.

Guess how he depicted the world that was going to come? Drug use for every member of society. Get every citizen addicted to medicinal drugs. Everyone on drugs, from the children up.

It's already happening in the schools. I heard at one school, 50% of them are on medicinal drugs. There's something wrong.

In that book as well, free sexual entertainment for everyone. Just listen to this. No work because machines will do it.

So, you can have leisure. That's why you need the drugs and the sexual entertainment. Lab babies, taking away the ability of men and women to have babies.

And they'll grow them in the lab. And I could go on. That's Brave New World.

The 1930s. Those men knew where this was going. They've made it go this way.

They know what culture they're looking for. You know what? It's going to be a society of sorcery. The Bible's right.

And it's happening. Here's something you may not too. No, the LSD explosion in the 1960s.

Who was behind that? Who created it? Who caused it? The CIA. That's fact. They actually created it, experimented.

And they are behind the whole revolution. They had the revolution of the 60s. The CIA playing with drugs.

A political system that's still in power. And it's still deceiving nations. Since our Bible is very real.

Next, it says idolaters. No idolater will get into heaven. The word idolater means image worshipers.

Two Greek words. Image for statues. Image worshipers.

You worship reverence God. They joined the two words to make idolaters. What is an idolater? It is someone who uses an image, an icon, an idol, a statue as a medium to worship God.

It's used as an aid to help you in worship. It's using images as a tool to help you worship God. We often say that Catholics are idolaters.

They worship statues. Catholics say, and priests and nuns, they'll say, we don't worship the statue. It's only a statue.

We use it to help us worship. We use it as an aid to help us. Yeah, that's the word idolatry.

It's using statues, making images. Listen to what the second commandment are. Ten commandments to show you right from wrong.

The second commandment, listen to what it says. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Okay, what does that look like, having another God? Then he says, says, thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is on earth below or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God. No idolater is ever going to get in heaven.

Oh, but I'm a born again Christian. I'm born again, but I use statues. I use them to worship God.

You're in very dangerous ground. The Bible says idolaters who use statues to worship God, even if it's an image of Jesus, even if it's an icon. Even if it's Mary, even if it's angels, you are anti-idolatry.

And it says, don't bow down yourself before it. That has happened all across this city. In your families, idolatry is a widespread thing.

And that isn't even going into Buddhism or Hinduism or some of the other world religions. Idolatry is something that says no idolater can get into the new Jerusalem. Then last of all, all liars.

What a statement. So in a brief verse here, he has noted certain kinds of sinners who will not be in the new Jerusalem. I'm telling you about people you'll never find in God's heaven.

You'll never find an eternity. You'll never find in the new Jerusalem. They're not there.

They cannot get in. And you know what? I believe this is just to give you a feel of the breadth of sin. Search out the entirety of scripture.

This is one brief sentence that I've just preached to you this morning. One sentence with certain sinners mentioned. And yet we have these things in the church of our day and generation.

People claiming, oh, but I love God. I know God. Sorry.

The last one, all liars. What does lying mean? To utter an untruth or to keep back the full truth. You may not tell a lie, but you could stay silent.

You could miss out certain facts. That's a lie. You deliberately knowingly leave out certain things that change the whole story.

That's a lie. Also in my life, they talked about a white lie. There is no white lies.

Oh, but you've got to. No, you don't. It's not just telling a lie.

You are a liar. Here, this Bible says no liars will be an eternity. The problem with a liar, once you justify this, this is what you become.

You're a perpetual liar. I personally have met more liars, better liars, bold liars in the church than on the streets of any city. It's not the drug dens.

It's the pulpits. I wish I didn't have to say this. I've met people preaching in churches, leaders.

They're the biggest liars I've ever met. How do you get to a place talking about God, talking for God, acting for God, saying you represent God and yet you're a perpetual liar? How do you get into a condition in an environment like this where you're a liar? Not just that you've told a lie. Who hasn't told a lie here? I'm sorry to say I've lied before.

It's anathema to me. You'll be hard-pressed in my lifetime ever to get me to lie. Just like cursing.

If I stub my foot, a curse word doesn't slip out. Never. That's not a part of who I am.

It doesn't just slip out when no one's there. It doesn't. Neither do I gamble or do the lotto or all these things on the sly when I'm out of church.

You shouldn't gamble. We're getting off on a whole nother thing. But liars.

We're dealing with liars. Jesus said in John chapter 8, 44, speaking to the Pharisees, they had the Bible, the Old Testament. They were holiness fanatics.

They were extremists, fundamentalists, Bible believers. They'd done everything outwardly perfectly according to the law. But listen to what Jesus said in John 8, 44.

Ye are of your father, the devil. What a statement. We are keeping the Bible.

We believe the Bible. We obey the Bible. We do everything.

You can't look at anything. I'm not a whoremonger. I'm not an adulterer.

I'm not an idolater. I'm none of these things. Yes, you're a liar.

So, Jesus said, you're of your father, the devil. And the lusts of your father, ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he abode not in the truth.

Notice the devil, Lucifer, was in the truth at one point. He abode in the truth. It was, he was created in truth, but he didn't stay there.

He moved out of a place of truth, and he'd become the father of all lies. Because there is no truth in him. If you don't abide in truth, you then become a lie.

If you're not surrounded by truth, I'm telling you, a lie can get in your heart. You walk away from truth, and then you become a lie itself. You become a liar.

It's who you now are. You're of your father, the devil. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own.

For he is a liar, and the father of it. It also says in 1 Timothy 4, 1, that this would be a mark of the last days. Listen carefully before I close.

Now, the Spirit speaketh expressly. There's the Holy Spirit speaking to this generation. The Holy Spirit speaks clearly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits.

The doctrines of devils are, listen to this, an army of teaching demons is going to be released on the world. These are invisible beings, entities that can create feelings, that have power, that have great intelligence, great wisdom. And yet they're demonic, they're evil spirits.

And listen, they teach, they're gifted in teaching. They know how to teach humans, how to get into your brain. And so the Holy Spirit warns us about this army of deceiving, deceptive, lying spirits that are going to teach you and convince you of a lie.

Listen to the next part. Speaking lies and hypocrisy. Having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

So notice who the demons deceive. Certain people who now speak lies and hypocrisy. They could even condemn the sins of others, but they are living it themselves.

They can do that. They're hypocrites. They are not what they say they are, but they condemn others.

They criticize others. They point out the sins of the age. Why do they do that? How do you get to a point where you're a hypocrite, where you speak lies? Who wants to be a liar? Who would want to stand in the pulpit and just preach lies, preach things that I'm not? Who would want to be a Christian in the church that says, yeah, yeah, I believe in Jesus, and yet you live a hypocritical life.

It's not real, it's an act. You're just acting out your life. You're acting out a stage play.

It's not who you are. Why would you do that? The Bible says, having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Do you know a nerve in your arm? If I got a red hot poker, I could actually burn that nerve.

I can burn the nerve with a red hot poker, and now you can stick pins in my hand. I won't feel it. I've got a very good friend, Pat in Scotland.

She's got a very high pain threshold. She doesn't feel pain. That's dangerous in your body.

She's had so much pain in her body, she doesn't feel it anymore. I'm sensitized to pain. I'm healthy.

A wee bit of pain, and I yelp. You may say I'm cowardly. No, I'm normal.

I'm healthy. That's good. Do you know some people's conscience? A red hot invisible poker has seared the conscience.

Their conscience is like that nerve, and they don't feel it anymore. They just act. They just speak.

They're liars. They're hypocrites. They're being deceived by demons.

They're playing games in the church. And listen as we close in this verse. Speaking about all these people, they shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

What is the alternative to the new Jerusalem? What happens if you don't get into heaven? What happens if you don't get into the new heaven and the new earth? What happens if God looks in your life, and he says, you're a liar. You're a whoremonger. You're a murderer.

You can't be accepted by me. These are detestable. It's not OK.

What's the option if he doesn't let you in heaven? Today, it's hell. The moment a sinner dies, see those young guys out the road in a car on a Saturday night, drunk with drugs. And they're driving out there, and they crash.

What about the young ladies that finished their life in this river out behind me, the Shalem? Do you know how many have died in that river? We were the suicide capital of any city in Europe until recent times. But suicides exploded everywhere. What about those going out into suicide? That's murder.

To commit suicide's murder. What about those suddenly swept out from laughing, joking, high on drugs, and they're lost? They go straight to hell. But listen, the Bible says there's not only a new heaven and new earth.

Hell is not the final resting place of sinners. It's only temporary. Hell is temporary.

It's not eternal. There's another place here called the Lake of Fire. In Revelation chapter 19 and 20, we read about the first mention of the Lake of Fire and the first people who go in it.

It's when Jesus comes at the beginning of the millennium, the beast who's the Antichrist. He's a man, a political leader. And the false prophet are the first two people to get cast into the Lake of Fire.

The very first two. And that's when it begins. The two first men.

They'll get cast in there. The Antichrist. Imagine being the first man into the Lake of Fire.

Then listen, it says in chapter 20, verse 10, at the end of the millennium, the devil gets cast in there. Then in verse 14, it says death and hell get cast into the Lake of Fire. So hell gets put into the Lake of Fire.

Every sinner gets resurrected, stands in judgment. And God says, condemned, condemned. You're a whoremonger.

You're a liar. You're abominable. You're a cross-dresser.

You're a perpetual drug user. Depart from me. I never knew you.

I never in any way or at any time ever knew you. Depart into the Lake of Fire that was prepared for Satan and his angels. And there, there will be an ascending smoke.

An eternal smoke. Fire burning. Perpetual gnawing and gnashing of teeth.

Tears perpetually. They'll cry. We won't cry.

Since the consequence of missing heaven, eternity, the new Jerusalem is so unbearable and unspeakable you can't imagine. Because Christ will say, I don't know you. Who are you? I don't recognize you.

Oh, but Lord, I prophesied in your name. You're a worker of iniquity. Do you see what puts them away? We prophesied.

We've done many Holy Ghost works. We experienced the Holy Spirit. We prophesied in your name.

We cast out demons. I didn't know you. You loved iniquity.

You love sin. Depart from me. I never knew you.

Let's pray together. Maybe you're here. You're not right with God.

You don't know Jesus Christ. You're not born again. You're not real.

Maybe you are a Christian and you love God with all of your heart. You really sincerely do. Then these things ought to make you tremble.

Don't depart. Don't falter. Don't get deceived.

Don't become skeptical. Don't become an unbeliever. Don't become fearful.

Don't become a victim of this immoral, wicked society. Because you know what? See at the minute, everything's being released on our world. Demonic powers that have never been here before are being released.

The Bible talks about it. There are forms of technology that are carrying sin that are aimed at the church of Jesus Christ. And they're destructive.

Your phone could send you to hell. Your mobile, your television, the internet could send you to hell. What did Jesus say? He says, if your hand offends you, cut it off.

It doesn't mean literally, physically. See if that phone's a hindrance to you, messing you up with sin. You better throw it in the bin.

You better take a hatchet, a hammer to your television set. Maybe it's something else. Maybe it's a bottle, an alcohol drink.

Something else. You better get violent against sin. Because one of these days, sin will drag you into the lake of fire.

Let's pray. Father, we bow our heads before you. Lord God, soberly.

Father, our hearts are filled with joy and love and gladness for you. But Lord God, we tremble at the thought of the seriousness of sin. Our own proneness, our own weakness, our own tendencies, our own past failures.

Lord God, the temptations that will face us between now and the day when we look upon your face. We don't take them casually. We don't laugh at the devil.

We don't mock him. Lord God, we're in a real battlefield. Our enemy is real.

Our weaknesses are real. And so we need you, our God, to be our strength. We need you to be our courage, our cleansing, our purity.

We need you to stop us from being hypocrites or being deceived and being hearers of the word and not doers of the word. Lord God, we need that gift of repentance perpetually. Not brokenness of heart, not rending of our hearts.

Lord God, that humility, that fear of God that makes us tremble at the word of God. Oh, that men would tremble at this message even today. At the thought of the brevity of life.

The shortness of life here. And yet an eternity separated from you. Rejected by a loving God.

Kept out by a God that opened his arms wide at Calvary. My God, when we think of your love and your grace, you say in your word that you don't desire that any man perish and die in his sins, but that all men would repent and come to a knowledge of salvation in you. That is your desire.

It's not your will that any man perish. And yet you say very clearly some are going to go to heaven, some to hell. Some are going to abide eternally in the new Jerusalem.

And others are going to abide eternally in the lake of fire, never to get out. My God, I pray let the seriousness of this weigh upon each one of us in this room. From the children straight through to the oldest.

That we wouldn't be casual in our walk with you. But oh God, that we have fear and tremble. That we have fear the one that can cast body and soul into hell.

And Father, even right now, we pray for the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. The blood of the lamb that cleanses us from all sin. That washes us, that renews us.

Lord God, change our nature. Lord God, make us overcomers so that we can inherit all things that you promise. Make us to subdue these things.

To get the victory. To prevail against these things. To overcome and to walk the world in white with Jesus.

Obeying the word of God while we live in this world. While we are pilgrims and sojourners on this earth, surrounded by sin. We now are living in the most wicked generation.

And we need your grace and your love and the power of your Holy Spirit. And we pray for a genuine revival in this hour. We tremble at the thought of not having a revival when such iniquity and darkness is being released politically, educationally, in our schools, through the internet.

My God, we're in a tidal wave of darkness. The like of which the world has never seen. And so we pray and we ask you for a mighty revival.

A holiness revival. An outpouring of the Holy Spirit that's going to make weak Christians strong. Lord God, saints who, Lord God, are struggling with the flesh and against sin.

That you would make them firebrands in the kingdom of God. Holiness. Lord God, pure ones, chosen ones, preserved ones, in the mighty name of Jesus.

And we ask this for your glory and your honor. That you'd have a testimony in the earth in Jesus' mighty name.
