Hi, my name is K.P.O.N.N., the President of Gospel for Asia. The best kind of suffering is what Jesus did. He chose to spend 40 days fasting, pray to prepare his heart to serve his father.
From the early days, from the very beginning of the church, the church fathers instituted what he called the Lent season. It is a lost art in the modern church. I encourage you to see the result of this and be faithful and pray for people that do not know the Lord, pray for the suffering in the world.
And so your Lent is not a selfish desire to lose some weight, but rather it is to give. I would really encourage you to go to gfa.org slash Lent because you can get lots of information and materials that will benefit you immensely. And all over the world, we are doing that.
