Leonard Ravenhill warns that the church's failure to preach the true Gospel is leading to a lost and hardened generation, and calls for a return to authentic, uncompromising preaching.
This sermon emphasizes the urgency of the current spiritual state, highlighting the need for a genuine awakening and revival in churches. It addresses the complacency and lack of true repentance, warning about the consequences of preaching a watered-down gospel that fails to convict and transform hearts. The speaker expresses deep concern for the moral decline and the impending judgment, urging listeners to care about the eternal destiny of souls and the need for a radical return to God.

Well, I want to tell you tonight. I believe the same thing happens in our churches every Sunday. People are choking, and they're trying to pour the water of life into them, and the poor souls are so damned and lost, they can't take it.
They've listened to the same preacher year after year, says the same things in the same way. He hasn't shed a tear since he left his mother's womb. He went to the seminary and got a big fat head and a shrunken skull.
There is no hope. This generation will fill hell quicker than any other generation, we're so sure, unless God in mercy fills us. I'm astounded, bewildered, confused, baffled, when people tell me in America we've 75 million people filled with the Holy Ghost, and we're the rottenest nation on earth.
Come on! My question is, does anybody care? Do you really care the world is going to hell? We are preaching an acceptable gospel today. Make it as painless as we can. And all we do is give people a shock to put them to sleep, so they'll get to hell quicker.
I believe we're going into the darkest days that humanity has ever known. So dark they'll make the Dark Ages look like midday.

Application Points
- We must return to preaching the true, uncompromising Gospel, rather than a watered-down version that's comfortable and painless.
- We must be willing to call people to genuine repentance and surrender, rather than just giving them a shallow experience.
- We must pray for a genuine outpouring of God's mercy, rather than relying on our own efforts to save the world.
