Jesus and the Word of Prophecy

So good to see so many friends here. I just like to commit this time to the Lord. Thank you for my brother Edgar's prayer, Lord, and I pray that you will fulfill it at this hour for me because I feel very overwhelmed and inadequate. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Thank you, Lord. I do mean that. This last couple days have impacted my life very much, hearing these brothers who have come from so far away, so many of them at their own expense, all of them at their own expense, and without any reimbursement from this conference, a great labor of love from the Lord Jesus. And this is a revival conference, and I was thinking in revival, the word life is in revival. Viva means life, and that's what we want, and life is only found in our Lord Jesus Christ. And so where Jesus is, that's where life is, and where he goes, that's where life is. And we have, every one of us has an opportunity and an open invitation from the Lord. He wants to come. He wants to come into the house of our life, into the living rooms of our life, and he wants to come, and he's waiting for an invitation. I think of Jairus' father, Jairus, who had a daughter, and she was dead, and he came seeking Jesus. Come to my house, Jesus, my daughter is dead. And he came, and we know what happened. Where Jesus is, life is, and his daughter was brought to life because Jesus was there and spoke the word of life. And Peter invited Jesus into his house. Come, come have lunch after they ministered out in Capernaum, and he came, and he found his mother-in-law sick, and Jesus goes and heals her, and brought her life, and made her well. Wherever Jesus goes, there's revival, and so we can also have Jesus if we invite him. And he went to Lazarus' house many times. He was always welcome there, and there was life, and friendship, and love, and then Lazarus died. And without them asking, without them asking, Jesus went to his house, and Lazarus was dead. And what happened? He was Jesus. Wherever Jesus is, life comes. So I just wanted to open up as a reminder to us that wherever Jesus is, life is. But Jesus is in heaven right now, so what do we have here? It is our benefit that I go away, the Lord said, and if I go away, I will send you the comforter, another one, another helper, and he will abide with you, and he is the one who we have today with us. And so just like Jesus, we cannot bring him down to the earth again, but we can have the Holy Spirit. We have the Holy Spirit, and we can ask the Holy Spirit, come into my heart, come, and we can ask Jesus to baptize us with the Holy Spirit, because he's the one who endures with the power that the Holy Spirit is, and he baptizes us. John the Baptist said that. I come baptizing with water, but there's one that comes, and he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. And so that's what we need today. So we cannot invite Jesus physically into our homes, but we can invite him whom he sent into this world, and he walks in the world, and he is invisible, but this is where our faith kicks in. We have to exercise our faith and interact with the invisible, and the person of the Holy Spirit is invisible, and he walks, and he's walking here now, and you will forgive me if I break down in doing my sharing, because I tend to break down very easily in his presence, and I cannot help it. So anyway, I prayed much about, Lord, I am slaughtered for Saturday at this revival conference, and by the way, for you, my friends, who have never seen me attired like this, this is not a fashion show. I am not here for fashion. I'm here to uplift and uphold the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, but when I retired, I said to my brother Edgar, he commented on my bowtie, and he said, I said to the Lord, Lord, I've retired from painting. All my life, I was a painter. I said, I want to dedicate my, I don't, I'm gonna put my brushes away. What am I going to do? And I said, I will dedicate my voice to you, my voice box, and I'll put a tie on it for you, and so don't think of me as a fashion model. I'm just here as a witness to the Lord between him and I, that I will decorate and dedicate my voice box to him, you know. So, okay, enough of that. We are here to uplift our Lord Jesus Christ. So, the Lord is Logos. He is the Word. The Lord is the Word. He rides on a horse, and his name was the Word of God, the Logos of God, and every one of us who has come to know him and has the revelation of him, the seed of the Word has been implanted into our spirit, into our heart, and our spirit has been born again because he is life. The Word of God is life, and the Word of God comes, and the revelation of who he is, the Son of the Living God comes, and our spirit is risen again, born again into life, and it comes as a seed, and I, simple as I am, I put a little seed in here so that we sometimes visually seem to grasp more than we can hear, and by the way, that's a scientific fact. So, this is an apple seed, just to keep us in, and just for, and this is an apple, and between that seed and this, a few years go by because that has to go into the ground, germinate, become a seedling, become a tree. Eventually, this is the fruit of the apple seed there. So, the Word of God is a seed, the Logos of Jesus, who is the Word of God. He plants his seed, his Word in us. We are born again, and now it takes time, takes time, and the Holy Spirit, the next step is then we go to him and says, Lord, I cannot do this by myself. I've been born again, but I need nourishment. I need help, and he, and then we find from the Word of God what John the Baptist said, that he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire, and so this is what I seek. So, I seek him. I go to Jesus. Jesus, I need you to endue me, and he does, and he did, and he goes for every believer, but I find many believers, many believers, babes in Christ, they go and they, they struggle so much in their life because they, they haven't gone to Jesus and asked him, what do you have for me, Lord, I want, and we find from the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit is all that we need, all that we need. Didn't plan to open like this, but just open my mouth and the Lord will guide. So, is someone here that is struggling with life, with problems, with perplexities that you can't break through? Your answer is the Holy Spirit. He's the only one we have in this world, in this world right now. Remember, Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, that his power and his agent is the person of the Holy Spirit, and he's the only one who can help us, and he has the power. So, I want to honor the Lord, and nothing brings more joy to the Holy Spirit than talking about Jesus. So, basics, basics, basics, you know. There was an American football coach by the name of Vince Lombardi, very colorful person, very colorful, but I don't know if some of you know, maybe you old-timers know, and Vince Lombardi, whether his teams, his players were veterans or rookies, it didn't matter. Every new season, every new campaign, he would get them all sitting down, he would take a ball, football, and he would go, this is a football, B-A-L-L, and the objective is to get this into the end zone, and there are many ways to do it, and we're going to do it. We're going to study it and do it. It didn't matter if you were a ten-year veteran who knew all the things. Every year, he did this. So, the Lord says, this is the Bible, B-I-L-E, B-L-E. I said it so many times to my kids. This is the Bible, and the objective, the objective is for the Holy Spirit to present us faultless, without spot or wrinkle, before Jesus in heaven. That's the objective. If, and if until Jesus, if he comes, that's another, that's another scenario, but for the most part, for every one of us, the objective is the Holy Spirit wants to deal with us if we submit to him and to present us faultless, without spot or wrinkle, before Jesus. That's the objective. So, 66 books, 40 authors, 4,000 years in making, many lives died, burnt at the stake, sold into horrific for the sake of this, and we ought to take it very seriously, very seriously. The Word of God is very, very, very, very serious, staggeringly profound, and we can break, in general, if we look at it generally, it's broken down in really three parts. You can, very generally, salvation or redemption, salvation plan, the, number two, the, the way in which we ought to live, the righteousness way, what I call the temperance way, the fruits of the Spirit way. You could, in a nutshell, say the codification of the, of the kingdom. That's the way to live, number two. And number three, which could be totally separate, it didn't even have to be there, it's prophecy, the prophetic writings, and it didn't have to be there. If it was just salvation and the way to live, the way of the kingdom, the law of life, that would have been enough. But the Lord saw, the Lord saw fit to include a wonderful gift to his son Jesus, and in turn, Jesus to his people. The word of prophecy to prepare us, to warn us, to give light so that we would not be perplexed, so that we would not be confounded, so that we know, we know in advance what was happening, what was happening, what is going to happen. And so, it's on this point, prophetic, that I would like to touch, but in a little while. But I like to touch on the salvation because I want to make the Holy Spirit very happy. And I know I may be preaching to the choir here, but if there is one soul that's watching this by telecast, by the web, and you do not know Jesus Christ, then this word is for you. There is no salvation, there is no escape apart from the name of Jesus, so you have to call upon him, you have to call upon his name for you to be saved from this world and from the world to come in darkness reserved for those who have been judged by God that cannot enter heaven. And I'm talking about hell, and it wasn't made for us human beings. Hell was made for God's enemies, the devil and his angels, and it never intended for us to go there, but we will go there if we reject the only name that is above every name and that at the name of Jesus, no one can be saved apart from him. Because Jesus came into this world to die for us. And why should he come into the world to die for us? What have I done? Well, the Word of God tells us that every one of us is a sinner. Every one of us has fallen into sin, and we have come short, and we've been cut off from fellowship with God. And the only way we can have fellowship with God is to come to him the way the Lord has told us in his Word how to be saved and how to approach him and how to be accepted with him. So when Adam, the tree of life, he had access to the paradise, and the angel was there to protect and to stop them from entering in because of their sin, and God did something wonderful. He killed the lamb, clothed them with the skins, and then told Adam, this is what you ought to do for you to have fellowship with me. You have to offer the lamb, make an altar, offer the lamb, and the blood of the lamb I will see and will atone for your sin. And you tell this to your children, and their children, and their children, and they do this, and their blood, when I see the blood, I will atone, he will atone for your sin. You do this in faith, and I will do it. And this is a symbol of the one whom you is to come. But it was a mystery at the time. It was a mystery all through history until Jesus, the Son of God, came. But this is what the Lord, our Father, had in mind when he said to Adam, kill a lamb on an altar, the blood, I'll see the blood, when I see it, I'll atone for you, it will atone for your sin. It was a mystery to them. It was a mystery throughout all the Old Testament until Jesus came. And then when he came, John the Baptist, when he saw him, says, the Lamb of God, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. And so Adam offered the lamb and the blood, and Abel, his son, offered the lamb and the blood, and came. He had the same opportunity. But this is where the sinfulness of sin enters in, and the fruit of sin is revealed. He thought, well, I work the fields, I want to offer God the fruit of my hands. And he got his vegetables and fruits, and he came and offered to the Lord. And that was not acceptable, because only the blood is acceptable when we come before the Lord and offer sacrifices to him. Whether it be sacrifices of praise or sacrifices, we are always in the name of Jesus. Because when we say in the name of Jesus, we are invoking his blood and who he is unto us. And so it was. And so, it's through the Son of God that you will have escape and salvation. And I'm born again unto life. Okay. Seed of the woman, seed of the serpent. The seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. Right there in that statement, and when God addressed Satan in the garden, he says, cursed are you, and the seed of the woman will be enmity with your seed. That is the seed of the prophetic uttering that developed throughout all the Old Testament and will be throughout all the times until the Lord comes in the clouds. That is a seed, that statement there. And what we have today that's going is that development of the prophetic. And it's very simple. The Lord is very, he knows our frame, he knows how we are, he knows our, the burdens and the temptations and the trials and the attacks that we have to do with the enemy. He knows. So, he makes it as simple as possible for us to understand. Obey it. If you read, it seems very complicated, but not really. It's very simple. In the prophetic, in the Old Testament, he revealed portions to this prophet, many prophets, a little bit to this prophet, a little bit to this prophet, a little bit to this prophet. Some got the huge picture, but even they didn't understand it at all. But we have to get all the bits together, and then the Holy Spirit is the one, not us, not our intellect, not our might, not the academic skill. It's the Holy Spirit who gets all the bits together and reveals it to us and shows us. And it's very simple. So, in a simplicity, let me break it down for you. The Lord said to Daniel, look, 470 weeks of years are allotted to your people. And so, he breaks it down into three parts. Meanwhile, there's 4,000 years go by, but it doesn't matter. The other history is for our learning. It's for the second part of the three-part general of the Bible. What matters in prophetic here for us, for our generation, for each generation that goes, is to understand that 70 weeks of years for Israel, because Israel is God's people, and this is where the battle is going to be fought. The warfare is going to be centered in that country or around that country. So, he makes it 70 weeks for these people. He breaks it down to the first part. He says, the decree until the temple is rebuilt, and then 62 weeks. So, there's seven weeks, and then 62 weeks are fulfilled until Messiah, from the decree until Messiah Jesus comes, be 62 weeks. And all that has been fulfilled. The temple was rebuilt. The decree was made. Jesus came. He died. He rose. But there's one week left. And so, one week left is very, it's not a huge amount of time. It's seven years. And then the Lord says, there's a scenario in these seven years that has to be played out. And it's very simple. It means Israel, the players are Israel. There's a group of nations. There's personalities. There's believers. There's the Jewish people. And then the end comes. It's very simple. We complicate things. We complicate a lot of things. If you know any Shakespeare play, any play that you're familiar with, you know the end from the beginning. You know the players. You know what they're going to do. And you know the end, how it ends. Well, the last week concerning this world, concerning Israel, is just the same. You know the players. You know what they're going to do when they do it. And you know the end, how it's going to play out. So, let's see. Israel has to be in place. And for many years, it was destroyed in 70 AD. And for many years, hundreds of years, there was no Israel. They were scattered. Empires came. Empires went. And the last one was the Turks, the Ottoman Empire. And the British came. They ousted them, defeated them in the First World War. And for a time, Britain was given the mandate to establish Israel. And I believe that was the Lord's mandate. And they failed. They divided up, and they only gave the Jews a little slip of land. So, in 1948, Israel came into being after hundreds and hundreds of years being non-existent. So, now we have one player, the land. Then the Jews came. Thousands and thousands of them came, and they began to come. But also, there was Jerusalem. Jerusalem was divided. So, Jerusalem has to be united. Why? Because if we know the scenario of the one week, we know that there has to be sacrifices. So, a temple has to be there. So, Jerusalem is divided. So, in 1967, a war broke out, and Jerusalem was united. It's unified. So, now we have another player. The city of Jerusalem is unified. What else? Well, we need the temple. Is there a temple? No. Will there be one? It has to be, because the scenario of the one week calls for sacrifices. So, they have to build a temple. And I don't know about your view of the Word of God, but if you believe anything else other than the Word says, I think we owe it to ourselves to go back to the Word and read it. And allow the Word to impregnate our spirit and bear fruit. And not from outside. Not another seed, but the Word. The seed of the Word into our heart. So, what does it say? It says that sacrifices will be offered again in a temple, but we don't have a temple. I say this because in the body of Christ, there are many views. Many views. And one of the most prominent views is that nothing has to happen. The Lord can come tomorrow. He can come now. Anytime. But the Word of God says otherwise. One week, seven years, determined by the Lord, which has not been played out yet, and there are players to be in place, scenarios to be played out. And so, you cannot say that. You cannot say the Lord can come tomorrow, can come today, because the temple has not been built. Sacrifices are not being offered. Another important thing to remember, there are personalities involved here in this play. Evil personalities and good personalities. There are witnesses still to come into play. We haven't seen them. There are evil personalities still coming to play. And if you are familiar with prophetic scriptures, you know that there's a religious figure to come on the scene that will, like John the Baptist pointed to Jesus as the Messiah, this religious figure called the false prophet, by the Word of God, will point to an evil person whom the Lord has designated to come. And only once in the Bible is he mentioned as antichrist, but he's more often mentioned as the man of sin, the man of lawlessness. That personality has to come. And the religious figure has to come. But you haven't seen them yet. So, the Lord cannot come tomorrow or today. These things have to be in place. And don't forget what the prophet Hosea said about what the Lord said. So, I share these things. I share these things to bring us right down, right down, bring our feet on the ground and rooted and grounded in the Word concerning the prophetic things. Jesus didn't have to tell us. Salvation would have been enough. The way of life would have been enough for us to know, to learn, to do practice. But what a gift, what a gift that the Father gave him when he ascended to heaven, came before the throne and took the scroll from the hand of God, the Father. And that scroll was the revelation of the things that were going to happen. And he gave it to the church, to us. He didn't have to give it. He gave it to us for us to know and prepare and be warned and be aware and to make ourselves spotless without wrinkle. In this world to prepare. Now, there's another important thing that is in this scenario that we have to face. And this is where we have to really, really button down and cultivate and really cultivate. And that's our faith. And I say our, really not ours, not mine. It's the gift of Jesus, his faith that he has given to each one of us. And we have to nurture and cultivate that faith because if we are the generation to see the one week that will unfold, the only thing, the only thing that will see you through is your faith, is the faith that Jesus gave you. And if we don't cultivate it now and strengthen it, we will fail. We will deny him. Because this is the victory, even our faith. And it's that faith that will take every believer through that one week that will unfold. Only God knows when that will unfold. There's been many prophecies, many predictions. Oh, this, the Lord is going to come in such and such a time. All you have to do is know the scenario, know the play, and you know that cannot be. There was a 1988, came out with an 88 pages of this prophecy, why the Lord was coming, 1988. Totally bogus. And a lot of people swallowed it. And it's so simple. Know what will play out in the week, and you'll be saved. And cultivate, cultivate, strengthen the faith, your faith, because that's what's going to pull us through, every one of us, individually and cooperatively. So, so many views, so many different things, and it's so simple. And all we have to do is listen to the narrative of Jesus. The disciples left Jerusalem at the end of the day. They go up to the Mount of Olives. They're going home to the house of Lazarus. And Jesus, they go up the hill up the Mount of Olives, and they sit down, and four of them come along and says, Jesus, what you said down there about the stones being not left upon another one, when is that going to happen? And when are you going to come? And when is the end of the age? And so the narrative, what did Jesus say? Now, Jesus was a master of parables. Everything he taught the people was in parables. He says, why are you speaking parables? Well, to them, I speak in parables, because in hearing, they don't hear, and seeing, they don't see. But to you, it has been given to understand. Now, the master of parables, did he say a parable on the Mount of Olives to the disciples when they asked him plainly, when are you going to come? He didn't speak a parable. He spoke very plainly. The narrative, I like to read that narrative to you, and very, very plainly is the narrative of that one week, so that there is no excuse for us to fall for this view and that view. No, no, just stick with the narrative of Jesus, and it's confirmed by other prophets, by the bits and bits and bits and bits. They all confirm the narrative of Jesus. Jesus is not, well, he pointed to Daniel specifically. Let the reader understand, because Daniel gave a very, very lengthy description of the end, and no wonder Jesus pointed to him. But I can tell you Isaiah, very, very, very descriptive of the end. The first 35 chapters of Isaiah, all about the end. Zechariah, the bits, bits here, bits there, bits there. But in Jesus' narrative, he brings it all down. And you can't go wrong. Just stick to it. And I like to read it to you. It's in Matthew 24, Matthew 24, verse 3 until 31, okay? So, this is the narrative that Jesus gives, and it's describing the last one week that God the Father is reserving in heaven to be unfolded. And it hasn't unfolded yet in its fullness, but like a pot that you're making a stew or food or something on a pot, the heat is cooking it. All the ingredients are in there, but it's cooking it. And at a certain time, it will be done, and you turn the stove off. Well, all the ingredients are in this world already. And the events that are playing out in this world is like the heat of the stove. It's being cooked. It's being shaped. And at some point, everything will be in place, and the Lord will drop that one-week scenario on this world, and then the end will come. So, let's read the narrative of Jesus. And if you stick to the narrative of Jesus concerning the end time, you can never go wrong. Never. If you have any other view, say it in your heart, okay, what I believe will happen here. What I believe, maybe it will happen between verse 3 and verse 31. Whatever you believe, you can insert your belief there and allow the Word of God to contradict your belief or confirm your belief. Okay. And this He said upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Right there. Right there. Ought to arrest us. Take heed that no man. He didn't say, take heed that Satan will deceive you. He's already, he knows he's the deceiver. No man. So, right there, it tells us that deception will come from man. Satan working through man. And even more ominous to us is that, well, I'll say, I don't want to go over time. I got to be very conscious of time. Oh, my goodness. My time is nearly done. It's not something. Okay. Let's go on. Just keep in mind that the deception will be worked through man. And even more sobering, it will be through man. Guess what? In what we call the church, the believers, from among you will come wolves in sheep's clothing. That's very staggering to contemplate. So, right off the bat, Jesus says, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of war. See that you be not troubled. For all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nations shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places. All this, the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to the afflicted, and shall kill you. And you shall be hated of all nations, for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Everything right up to now is happening, has always happened, has always happened. So we go on. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for witness unto all nations. And then shall the end come. This is still in the process of cooking. The gospel is going forth into all the world. It will never stop. It's still going until the end, until the end comes. When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation. Now we are getting to details here. Now he's into the detail of the one week. He's in the one week. When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso reads let him understand. Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains. Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of this house. Has the Lord come yet? No, he's just saying what's what's happening. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes, and woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give sack in those days. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day. For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world till this time. No, no ever shall be. So now the Lord says when you see the abomination, then there shall be tribulation. So from the, if you're familiar with the bits of prophecy in the Bible, you'll find that Daniel says well the abomination, he becomes the abominable thing three and a half years. That's half of the week. That's when he is an abomination that causes desolation because he goes into the temple and desolates the temple. And so the Lord is saying three and a half, now we're at the half point of the week. So he's been the, he's been, a principal player has been identified, and what is done, and another thing, the tribulation, the Lord is calling this time a tribulation. For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time. No, no ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Has the Lord come yet? He's only saying those days will be shortened for the elect's sake. The elect is you and I, and any Jewish people that believe in Jesus, that's the elect. It's, then if any man shall say unto you, lo he is Christ, or there, believe it not, for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect. There's that word again, deceive. The whole point, the whole warfare is deception, deceive, to make you believe a lie that Jesus has come. But no, the Lord is saying, if at all possible to deceive you of that. Behold I have told you before, wherefore if they shall say unto you, behold he is in the desert, go not forth. Behold he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. He hasn't come yet. He's just explaining how he's going to come, what to expect when he comes. He hasn't come yet. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Now, really, really important. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory and he shall send forth his angels with the great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. There, my brothers and sisters, is the narrative of the end time of the one week scenario that is reserved. It's not being it's not being manifested yet and what's more important as I come to an end here, I had so much to share but this subject requires a lengthy series to be to give it justice. But the most important thing for us now while the week is being reserved in heaven by the Father is to get near to the Lord to have to be pure in his presence without spot or wrinkle and to be made right and that our faith will be strengthened, strengthened in faith. This is the time we have now to while it is time, while it is day, the Lord says and the brother I think was yesterday who said emphasize that scripture work while it is yet day for the night comes when no one can work. There's so many details to expound but these are the very simple and important details. The night is coming. That week when the Lord unleashes on the earth, no one can work the night. The whole darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness to people. And there was a dark, it's going to be dark? No, he's talking about the understanding. There will be no understanding, no comprehension of the things of the Lord but the word of the Lord says the wise they shall understand. So as I finish, this is perhaps what the Lord wanted me to share with you. Just to stay with Jesus' narrative. If you are otherwise minded, just stay with it. Stay with Jesus and do not let any man deceive you for there are many deceivers. There are many false prophets unfortunately amongst us. That's the sad thing. It's within our midst but the test, the test will pry all of us because in that day it's our faith in the word of God that will bring us through. It's our faith in him that will bring us through and even our faith will give us the strength if necessary. If we to see that day, if we were to go through that day it will give us the strength even to lay down our lives because the scripture says they did not love their lives even unto death.
