This sermon emphasizes the power and presence of Jesus in drawing people to worship, highlighting the importance of focusing solely on Him rather than on famous individuals. Famous preachers, you know their names, famous worship leaders, people who are, you know, well known that all went and they just attended in the stands. I heard about a whole bunch of these that they were just in the service going, Lord, I want more of you. But no one was on stage drawing the people.
It was only Jesus. That was the coolest thing about Asbury is it wasn't about any name. And there's no reason 200,000 people would go into a town.
Let's make it personal for a second. There's no reason 200,000 people are going to travel into Peoria, right? Or where I'm from in the Twin Cities, my small suburb. There's no reason people will come.
But it's just there was just a greater movement of God's spirit. God was working.
