Michael L. Brown emphasizes that while believers love their human enemies, they must recognize and resist the devil's active efforts to intimidate and silence Spirit-filled Christians.
This sermon emphasizes the spiritual battle believers face, highlighting the tactics of the devil to intimidate, silence, and hinder the progress of God's people. It distinguishes between loving people, even when they oppose us, and recognizing the spiritual warfare orchestrated by the enemy to hinder the advancement of God's kingdom.

We're not talking about the enemy, we're not talking about people, we're not talking about human beings being our enemies. We love them and pray for them, even if they oppose us and stand against us and come against us as our enemies, we love them and pray for them. But I want you to understand there is a powerful work of the devil in the earth today to try to intimidate and quiet down and stop the people of God from a forward march posture.
I want you to understand that aside from persecution, aside from these overt ways of saying, if you don't burn your Bible, we're going to shoot you, I want you to know that the devil is at work to shut your mouth, to intimidate you, to drag you down.
