(In the Word) 12 - Healing in the Old Testament

Milton Green · 1:32:20

This sermon emphasizes the importance of understanding healing in the Old Testament as a covenant promise from God, encouraging believers to examine the Word and reject traditions that hinder their faith.
In this sermon, the speaker begins by encouraging the audience to stay engaged and expectant, as the message will become more impactful as it progresses. The speaker then references Psalm 103, highlighting the benefits of knowing and praising the Lord, including the forgiveness of sins. The sermon emphasizes the importance of addressing sin and wrong teachings in order to receive new revelations from God's Word. The speaker urges the audience to listen to the entire series of tapes in order to fully grasp the teachings and make choices based on the Word of God rather than human traditions. The sermon concludes with a reminder of the freedom and healing that can be experienced through the power of God's Word.

Full Transcript

When anyone receives revelation in the Word of God, it sometimes conflicts with what he has previously been taught. This causes you to have to deal with old traditions or wrong teaching. These tapes may contain some new light from God's Word, and it may be opposed to some traditions you have previously learned.

Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number 12 in a series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in the series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood.

Listening to a part of this series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of this series. Let me tell you something. Do you remember when you first came in here and you're sizing everyone up around you? You know, all of a sudden when you get it centered around Jesus, around the Word, you know, that becomes, all of a sudden, unimportant.

It seems like something's not talking to you that was talking to you when you first came in here. Now, I told you at the very beginning that the Word is going to be setting you free and giving you a freedom. Like you, and I told you before, this day you finish it.

Many, many, many of you are going to have a freedom that you haven't known since day one. Now, how many here knows a lightness is coming in your life, a freedom is coming in your life? How many here have been healed, that the Lord has healed you right here? Just hold up your hand there. Healed you or something? Well, there's a few.

Hundred? And He sent his Word to heal you. And boy, I'll tell you what, there's no one going to get any glory for it, are they? And it won't. Now, let me tell you something.

One of the easiest things for me to do to start out these seminars and start with healing. I would like, and I used to do this. I would start right out in healing right there.

And there was so much opposition to it, it'd take another 24 hours to get, get back into the thing. It just, it just comes against it. And so I had to change the seminar to come back to, to deal within me, to deal that you could be deceived, that a person may not after all know it all, so they can come to the place where they hear the Word.

And so they teach them to see healing. Because many, because of their traditions and they've been taught it's not in the Bible, they would reject it. They haven't learned what talks to them to tell them to reject something before they, before they look at the truth, examine the truth, or reject the truth before you examine it in the Word.

You do not have to be afraid to examine something right here. I don't care who's talking or who's speaking. I'm telling you, you don't have to be afraid when, when they start saying something different.

What the Bible says, you can always get up and leave. You don't, you don't have to spit out the sticks. You know that? Persuasive argument's not supposed to move you.

Only Jesus is supposed to. You don't receive anything that the Lord doesn't confirm to your heart. Amen? Well, now we're going to be starting with the healing this morning, and I kind of wish it was behind us.

But I'm going to do this thing. I'll tell you, Shepherd, something. Brother, I'm telling you, things are coming together, particularly at Shepherd's and the people that surround you, and that really walk with you and everything, that we can have a thing to where we can help you.

And it's not going to be somebody's things. It's just going to be coordinating the body of Christ just to help you. You hear? And these things are coming together.

So you just, you just preach the Word because the Lord is working out some things there. And it's not going to be anybody's thing. It's not going to center around any man.

It's not going to center around any teaching. It's going to be the Word. You're going to be free.

In a short time, we're going to be learning some things from you. We're going to be learning from each other. Isn't that right? That's right.

Now, I want to tell you what's been happening. We're waking up from a nightmare. And if that's not settled in its spirit, it will be before the day is over.

And been asleep. The church has become fleshly and worldly. The church today is doing spiritual things with a carnal mind and worldly methods.

And just like the boastful world, we boast in ourselves and our works. We magnify men. We magnify numbers.

Magnify church. Magnify buildings. Magnify denomination.

There's something bad wrong with that, folks. It's the wrong fruit. You don't magnify these things.

Now, we're going to look at healing. And you know, in James 5, verse 40 and 15, it says, Now, we're not going to turn there yet. In James 5, it says, Anyone who is sick, let him call for the doctors in the church and call for the elders in the church.

Now, I don't have anything against doctors. As a matter of fact, there's a lot of doctors that daily walk with Jesus. Luke wasn't a total loss.

Of course, he always had his satchel ready in case God couldn't come through. But I don't have anything against carpet cleaners either. But we're talking about spiritual things, not natural things.

Doctors aren't God either. No doctor or no medication, any good doctor, I tell you, can heal no one. They cause things in your body that where the Lord can do the healing.

And they'll be the first to tell you that. Well, and if you ever see the Scripture where God healed two doctors, just kind of, let me kind of read that sometime. Because I think that comes from up here instead of here.

So, any doctor that doesn't think he's God is not going to be offended by what I just said. Now, if you think he's God, you've got a problem. Now, if the Lord Jesus wanted his body sick, what did he put James 5, 14 and 15 in the Bible for? Well, let me ask you something else.

If it's the Lord's will for you to be sick, why do you go to doctors for and work against God's will? If it's God's will for you to be sick, why do you take medicine for and work against God's will? Now, we'll do a little logic here before we get started in the Scripture. We put a lot of theology and logic. We see healing abuse and merchandise by some folks.

The Word of God's always been peddled, ever since it was the Word of God. But we're unwilling to come over here and just line up with the Word. We're not supposed to have our eyes on something that's abused.

That's up to God to abuse it. But we have our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ. So, God does heal in both covenants.

And I'll tell you something. God healed me. And I've got corn in my crib.

And I want to tell you something. I didn't have any problem showing you this before I started right here. I've been actually healed when I knew I was dying.

And I watch people healed all the time. But maybe some shepherd here or some layman. The Lord speaks through to me, so I can have a better understanding, something like that.

See, I'm not responsible to know everything. Only Jesus knows everything. Isn't that right? Do you have to know everything? Isn't that wonderful? To not have to know everything? If you don't know it, you don't know.

Either you know or you don't know. Nice things I don't know. I'm just going to talk about what I know.

All right. If you have your Bibles, turn to Psalms 103, please. And we'll start in the Old Covenant.

And I want to go through this quickly, because I'm going to tell you what's the truth. The longer we go today, the better it'll get. I mean, just tighten up your belt, because we're going to plow on through here.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Well, my buddy showed back up. Brother, don't you ever get away from just thinking about me getting to meet you.

I want to see what you look like. I want to see the Jesus in you. Okay.

In Psalms 103, this is a very encouraging thing to a dying man, in verse 2 and 3. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits, who pardons all your what? Well, isn't that an interesting thing? I want you to know it's when you know there's healing, how it just kind of drops in dealing with sin first. You're going to kind of watch as we go through. I've got some things to say about that later.

You know, when there's no sin and no discernment, you don't have to deal with these things. You're already there. You're already rich, increased in goods.

He heals. Here's his benefits. He pardons all your negatives, and he heals all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all your diseases.

Now, it's going to be playing with you all that long tonight. All your diseases. Well, now, that's a pretty encouraging thing for a dying man.

He'll come and look at this. He heals all, all your diseases. If I can read right there, I know at some point in time that God heals all diseases, or I need to cut that out.

And so I'm going to just receive it. So I'd be interested to know if it's healing right now, today. And that's where we're headed.

But we're going to start back in the Old Covenant. Please turn back to Exodus 15, please. This won't take long.

Exodus 15. Lord, I just praise you for your grace. I praise you, Lord, and ask and receive an anointing of your Word.

We ask for liberty and freedom in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We submit to your Word and receive your Word in Jesus' name. Praise you, Lord.

Total freedom and liberty. All right. First, I want to just look up there in verse 22, just so we'll see where we are.

Moses led Israel from the what? Red Sea. So they just crossed the Red Sea. And then Moses said in verse 26, and he said, If, if, if, if, if.

Do you know that things are so perverted in a church today? If you obey the Word, it's called works in some place. Did you realize that? It's called works if you obey God. I'm telling you, a covenant is not to analyze.

A covenant is walking to be a doer of the Word. Doer. That's what it says from front to back.

You better be a doer. That's where the blessings are. So I want you to know that when you're led by the Spirit of God, you are a doer of the Word.

That is grace. And you're under grace. Now, why should a ban of covenant be any different than a ban of covenant where it's an old covenant and a new covenant? That's when two become one.

Right now, verse 26, and he said, If, if, if, you're going to give earnest heed to my Word, to the Word, to the Word, to the Word of God, to His voice of the Lord your God, and do what is what? Right and who's that? You know what that's saying? Do righteousness. Is he saying any less today? Where'd that come from that he's saying any less today? He's not saying any less today. And you give ear to his commandments.

Those that love me, the ones that love Jesus, he said, obey his commandments. And you keep all, all his statues. He's made means for you to keep them, to do them.

And then he says, If you will, I will. That's what covenant is. You do this, I'll do this.

And then when you're doing this, he said, he told them, I'll put none. You know what none means? Not any. Isn't it wonderful that you lead three million people across the desert and removed all the diseases and none stumbled? Isn't it something? I mean, God's something, isn't he? He's more something than the devil, isn't he? I'll put none of the diseases on you which I put upon the world, Egyptian, for I the Lord am your what? Is he the same yesterday, today, and forever? Sure he is, when he changed.

Turn Deuteronomy 7, please. That's real encouraging. To a dying man right there.

Deuteronomy 7, Deuteronomy 7. All right, here, I'm telling you, if you're in covenant, old covenant, if you are in new covenant, if you're covenant with God, I want you to know you are wholly separated people. You don't walk, talk, and act like the world. Is that plain? Now, let's just look at just a little of it right there in verse 6. For you, now this is a covenant people, are what kind of people? You're holy people, and the Lord your God, the Lord has what? He always chooses what He's going to be in covenant.

He's chosen you to be a people for His what? Own possession out of all the people who are on the face of the earth. I'm going to throw in 7. The Lord did not set His love on you, nor choose you because you had big numbers. For, boy, the people for you are the fewest of all peoples.

Few there be that go up there. Now, verse 12, then it shall come about because you listen. First, you listen to the Word.

Have we heard that before? We've been reading that all over the New Testament, about a foolish man and a prudent man. You're not seeing anything. Listen, you listen to these judgment words.

And then, number 2, put a little 2 there, you keep in what? Do the will of God. That's what we've been seeing over and over and over and over. They analyze it and speculate about it and great God condemn God.

Because you keep in doing that, the Lord your God. Number 3, if you do this, if you listen to the Word and you do the Word, then I'm going to keep with you the covenant. That is exactly what the Lord is saying over in the New Covenant.

And His loving kindness. You know what loving kindness is? It's a covenant love. It's a God kind of love that He gives to those who walk in His covenant.

It's supernatural love. And it's a supernatural love that we become partakers of. That's the grace.

That's the power of the Lord that His love flows through. That's a love we can't receive except from Him. So, is it talking about covenant here, folks? You will keep with you His covenant.

Now, covenant is to keep. And it's loving kindness which He swore to your forefathers. Now, the powers of darkness want to hide that.

And they'd rather you get your little test papers out and test God out and kind of pick through instead of walking in it. And see, when you don't walk in it, you don't have any power over the powers of darkness. And they know it.

That's the reason they bring all these other words, as we saw in the parable of the Word, to steal the Word from you. And they're powerless. And you can't... Now, what did the Lord say in Hebrews about the Lord Jesus? He said, God has sat Him at His right hand, waiting, waiting, waiting.

He's still there. Just waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting. That's a key word.

And the next word is key. Until, until, until, until, until. These enemies are made of footstool by His feet, by the body.

Well, you have to wait for Jesus to do it. You've already got all the weapons. He's already done it.

Get in on it. Amen? He's ahead with the arms. Go do it.

Bind them up. Sack them up in Jesus' name. Everything Jesus has, we have in covenant, because we're one in the name of Jesus.

But, if you've got the worries of the world, if afflictions get you, persecutions, the pleasures of this life, and the worries about other things, then it's not the spiritual life in Christ. Amen? Well, I'd say, let's go on. Verse 15.

You've got your big pencil ready. And the Lord, you hear the word, do the word, keep the covenant. Here's what in verse 15, the next thing.

And the Lord will remove from you all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all sickness. Is he putting this in here to tease some folks? I can't hear you this morning. Okay.

The Lord will remove all sickness, and He'll not put on you any, any, any, any, any means none. Don't put any of them. He's not going to put any of the harmful diseases of Egypt, the world which you have known.

He'll lay them on all who want. The ones that hate you, the world hates you. Harlots hate you.

Adulterers hate you. The flesh hates you. They get it.

When they change. Boy, isn't this real complicated? Well, I mean, never learning, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Just get your theology from a man.

Just have your eyes on a man. Get your eyes on something that's theology. Get your eyes on something besides the Lord.

Well, it'll get better here in just a minute. Turn to Deuteronomy 28. We're still going to look at this covenant.

Deuteronomy 28. Now, I want you to know that God has added Israel. There's been an Israel of God since Exodus.

And I want you to know that these people are standing before Him to make covenant. Now, the covenant, incidentally, is on those tapes. There's the church today of sleeping in bodies.

That's where I started in the covenant. They're saying, of course, I'm not sharing this. I ain't because the Lord let me not to.

But there's some very, very important things to know about covenant. But they're standing before God to make covenant. Now, that's when two become one.

Two or more become one. And they've stood there, the tribes, the chief, the elders and officers, and that to enter in covenant with the Lord of God and into an oath. A covenant is an oath.

All right. Now, if you see before... Now, I want you to look at me. So you see this because you... Now, when anyone is walking in this world, I want you to know they're cursed because the powers of darkness is just getting more in their deceit and darkness.

They're putting more and loading up more and more and more. Death is working in them all the time. They're just taking over more areas and areas and areas of life.

You notice when folks have problems, they don't generally get worse. They get... I mean, better, they get worse because we turn to everything. And it's what the church does today, you know.

The church, you know, if someone has these problems or, you know, and everything, let's kick out the wounded, send them over there to the nuthouse. Jesus can't help you. Of course, when you get bad enough, the world can put you in a jail because, after all, God can't do anything.

And they're all around us. Brother pastor, I'm going to tell you what. I'll tell you what.

If you're receiving this Word, you have a most joyful time. All these hurting people and this burden that's been loaded up on you, you're going to be reaching across that desk to hurting people right there. And you're going to be touching them and saying, Boo, devil, in Jesus' name, and watching them transformed right in front of your eyes.

Not only you're going to do it, your whole congregation is going to be doing it because they're going to be sanctified. Now, when you walk through this world, you are cursed. There's no hedge.

You've got an enemy in this world that controls this world. He's stronger. He's people walking in flesh.

They're led by the algemine and the puppets. They become puppets, and they get more and more ground, more and more sick. And they use them.

They use them, and they use them against other people. They control them, and they don't even know it. They're cursed.

Now, when you come to make a covenant, Old Covenant or New Covenant, man making covenant with one another. When you make covenant with God, you make covenant with someone stronger than all the powers that are. So then, you make a covenant.

You take an oath. I will if you will. That's what covenant is.

You take an oath that you're going to walk right there. When you take this oath and you enter in, a hedge comes around you. They have been a land to possess since God made covenant with Abraham.

And he told him, Abraham said, How shall I know that I can possess the land? And God just turned around, because you and me are fixing to make covenant, and you always triumph when I'm with you. Do you understand it when God's with you that you always triumph? Of course, the world don't say foolish things. They can't.

The flesh don't say it. But now, when you enter into covenant, you take an oath. You're walking in it.

So when you walk in it and everything, and then when you choose in your heart to be drawn away, and we'll see quickly, we're going to see how the demons, right here, right there, do their own thing. After they made the blessed covenant, show them how demons will draw them away from the covenant. And he said, What do you do? You let they draw your heart.

Your heart's good. You're going to love me with all your heart, not me plus demons and idols of the world. And then when you do that, instead of... Yeah, you've got blessings when you walk.

All these things. We've been looking at it. It's good to be healed, not having sickness, and all these things working with you.

He said no sickness is going to be on, didn't he? Did I say that, or did the Bible say it? Okay, all right. And so he walked in covenant. You walk in covenant, your blessings are on you.

That means God, these blessings overtake you. You can't get away from them. You bless everything you put your hand to.

You're blessed coming and going. Now, the opposite of that is when you let your heart go somewhere besides loving the Lord with all your heart, and they draw you away to get you somewhere else. The breach comes down, and then the powers of darkness are turned loose on you.

This is a curse. This is what Deuteronomy 28 is, blessings and curses. Folks, it's still around.

There's always blessings and curses in covenant. And here they come because you've broken an oath. You've broken your word.

Now, isn't it amazing how people would be offended with curses when these curses right here in 28 are all over the church today? And you know something? These curses, some of these curses are called blessings. Can you imagine that? They're called blessings. God don't call them blessings.

Now, let's begin. In chapter 27, they had spoken curses on himself if he don't obey the Word of God, and that is part of the oath. And then we start there.

Let's look at the blessing, verse 21. Now, it shall, I mean, 28, verse 1. Now, it should be if, if, if, if. I want you to circle each scripture right here.

If is a condition. I want you to know that if is whether a person walks in covenant or not. You don't say some words, and you and Satan go out and do your things and get all the blessings of God.

Is that clear? All right. Now, it should be if, if, if you will diligently obey the Lord. That's what he says from Genesis to Revelation.

Diligently obey the Lord, your God, being careful to do all, all, all, all, all, all his commandments, which I command you today, the Lord, your God. See, it's I will, if you will. I will, if you will.

When you start seeing that in the Word, you start seeing old covenant. You start seeing new covenant. If you go ahead and do these things, I'm going to do this.

If you bear proof, if you bear much proof, I'm going, everything you ask me, I'm going to do. I will do that. You do this, and I'm going to do this.

You do this. I'm going to do this. You do this.

And if you don't do this, you're not going to hear from me. You pray with the wrong motives. That's what it said in new covenant.

What it's saying right here. Amen. All right.

Now you do all these things, which I command you today. The Lord, your God will set you up high above all the nations of the earth. Verse 2. And all these blessings are going to come upon you.

And they what? They're going to overtake you. You can't get away from it. If, if, if, if, if the blessings that come on you, if, if, if, if, you'll believe the Lord, your God.

You know what, somebody, you read that somebody and say, He's talking about works when you obey God. Can you believe that? What do you need the Bible for if all you have to do is say some words? Where'd that come from? Verse 6. Blessings shall you be when you come in and blessings shall you be when you go out. This is a blessings for those who walk in covenant.

Bless coming and going. Verse. Well, let's just look there in verse 7. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you.

They shall come against you one way. They're going to flee seven different ways. Now that's a blessings.

That's a blessings. Now in verse 9. The Lord in this covenant walking in covenant is going to establish you. Is that what he said in first Peter 5? He's going to perfect you and establish you.

Amen. For those walking in covenant. Absolutely.

That's what God does. He's going to establish you as what kind of people? Holy people. That's what you saw in first Peter 5. It's resisting the devil and the flesh and suffering in it.

Isn't that right? Here's a holy people to himself as he swore to you. If, if, if, if, if, if, if, if you will keep the commandments of the Lord and walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk in his ways. He's going to establish you as a holy people.

Is that right? Is that exactly what we read in first Peter? Absolutely. Now, verse 15. We, uh, I'm going to jump over here now.

Verse 15. There's where the blessings end. Because this, he tells you what's going to happen to you if you don't walk in covenant.

Where'd this thing come from? That you receive grace to go do what the devil says. From a devil. Verse 15.

But it shall come about if, if, if, if, if, if you will not obey the Lord your God. You will not obey his word. You'll not obey his commandments.

You'll not walk in covenant. If you'll not to observe to do all, all his commandments of his statutes, which I charge you today, that all these curses shall go to what? When it says come upon you, curses come upon you. May I just go ahead and tell you that's them.

They're going to come upon you and they're going to overtake you because the hedge comes down. The hedge comes down when you're not fruitful and you are not fruitful if you're not obeying the word of God. Is that clear? When you're not, and that's exactly.

And so the, here are the tree cutters come. Now let's go over and look in, well, uh, verse 19. We watch things change.

Cursed shall you be when you come in. Cursed shall you be when you go out. Instead of blessed coming and going, you're cursed coming and going and people don't even know when they're cursed.

Because they've been programmed to hang in there, keep a stiff upper lip, let the rough end drag. Don't let anybody know I'm coming apart inside. I've got it all put together in my pride.

You've been programmed with all your red pieces of steel and all your threads and everything that you're somebody, that you're something. You've already arrived. You're increased in goods.

You've got wood and you've got stone. You've got silver. You've got gold.

You've got the eyes of the world and they've built you, used these things to build pride in you. And you're zero with the realm of them. That's deception.

Okay. You're cursed coming and going. Now, I want you to watch and see, is not abandoned the Lord's sin? I don't want to run that by you too fast.

Is not abandoned the Lord's sin? Well, then, when you're sinning, is that when the enemy has ground to work in you? Well, we know that demons bring sickness. When did they become a blessing? Sin, that's where demons work. That's where they get their ground.

Now, I want you to keep that in mind because right now you're talking about the curses. Are we in the curses part right here? Look in verse 22. This is the ones who do not keep the commandments and walk in his ways.

The Lord's going to smite you with consumption and with what? See right here, God calls that curse. Something got perverted and turned around. It's called a blessing.

Let me tell you something, folks, about fever. You'll see later on that Jesus addressed the fever as a personality. You'll just be amazed what you can do.

Just take your hand, remove fever. You're not going to remove it while you're being blessed with it, though, are you? The Lord will smite you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with a sword, and with a blight, with mildew, and they shall pursue you until you perish. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind up all heresy, unbelief, all false doctrine.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, all legalism, in Jesus' name, is put out. And unbelief, you're bound, sealed with the blood. You cannot minister right now in Jesus' name.

Every hint of this word right here, every hint of it, the thoughts right now, is stopped right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let's go on, verse 23. Here's curses.

And the heaven, 23, over your head shall be bronze. That means your prayers are not going to, and the earth which is under you is iron judgment. Cursed, 25.

Now look here. The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them, but you shall flee seven ways before them.

A while ago, the enemy was going seven ways. Is that correct? You know what I've heard Jack Taylor say? It only takes one weak anemic demon to bind up the average church. Why not? They don't believe in them.

So instead of the demons fleeing seven ways, one demon chases a thousand seven different ways. That's the difference in blessings and curses. But you shall flee seven ways before them, and you shall be a what? You're going to be an example of terror to all the kings of the world.

Verse 27, now are we talking about sickness? Being in old government? And the Lord will smite you with the balls of Egypt, and with what? Tumors. Well, there they are. Isn't that something? How do tumors get there? Tumors are not a blessing.

Tumors are a curse. Now, if you have a tumor, don't be offended. It's not a blessing.

Get rid of it in Jesus' name. While we're trying to make somebody comfortable in their flesh with a tumor, something has killed them. That's where we live with that.

You can't minister to the Spirit and minister to this carton. We're talking to the inner man, not this part. Flesh always gets upset.

That's when you have to add water to it. This is good news, somebody had a tumor. Do you know it? Sure it is.

By now, it's not a blessing. The Lord will smite you with the balls of Egypt, and with tumors, with a scalp, an itch, from which you can not be healed. And then here's a curse.

It's 29. You shall grope at noon. At noon, when you're groping, you're trying to find your way spiritually.

Groping at noon is a light part of the day. You can't find the way. That's a curse.

The powers of darkness are on you. As a blind man gropes in darkness, you shall not prosper in your ways. You're going to just be oppressed and robbed, continuing, and there's going to be no one to save you because you haven't got a part to stand against them.

Yet, that's what the thief does. I mean, you're oppressed. The thief comes to rob, steal relationships, to work against you, to hinder you, and everything that you do.

You're cursed in everything you do. And you're programmed with them. Hang in there.

Hang in there. Don't let them know. Hide all this that I'm tearing you apart inside.

Hang in there with your pride demon and pride flesh. Don't let anybody know that you're something and you haven't really got it. So that when a person decides his back's up against a wall and he isn't in charge, he's not Lord after all.

That's when he gets saved. All right, now, 45. So all these curses shall come upon you, and they're going to what? There they are.

That's them. They pursue you. What's it saying, John? Walking in the light as you have in the light because darkness is there to what? To overtake you.

You better walk in the light. You better walk in the word. But darkness is right there to overtake you.

And these curses shall come on you, and they're going to pursue you, and they're going to overtake you until you're what? Destroyed because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes with your back. You wouldn't walk in covenant. When did that change? Now, I throw some excellent ones in there that didn't have to do with healing because I didn't want to have to come back later on.

I was going to just pick out the things, the curses and healings and the blessings and so forth. But now, here's where I was going to all the time. Now, here, we're still in the curses for the rest of the chapter of 28.

Now, I'm going to continue right here. And if you look in 29, just pull over at 29 verse 1, you see that we're looking at a covenant. These are words of the what? Covenant, which the Lord commanded Moses to what? To make with the sons of Israel in the land of what besides the covenant which he made.

So you see, you are looking at a covenant. And you're going to see why, because we're dealing with this healing. Now, look at me.

You're going to see why. You say, well, I wonder why somebody else can't see it. Honey, well, you've been looking at them.

Their eyes have been closed. You've been trusting men instead of Jesus. And well, you're going to see why the eyes are closed.

You quit worrying about why somebody else can't see it and see why you hadn't seen it. You're responsible for you. See, that shows where your heart was.

Now, so we're looking at a covenant. Is that right? You don't have any problem with that. Now, the covenant's not something to go tease somebody with.

God doesn't come and tease you with it, does he? Let's back up 58, 28 and 58. If you're not careful to observe all the words of this law, and observe them, which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God. God hasn't changed.

You have to learn to fear the Lord, and you'll not learn to fear the Lord if you don't know something about him. You'll not fear him without revelation. If you learn to fear him and you're careful to observe, then the Lord is going to bring extraordinary plagues on you.

They're going to come on your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses. Do you see that? They're going to come on you. And he's going to bring, what's that word there? Please circle back.

He's going to bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, which you're afraid now claim to you. Look at me just a minute. How can he bring something back on you if he hasn't taken it away from you? He's taken it away.

He's going to bring them back if you don't continue to walk in the covenant. Now see, isn't that interesting? All you had to do is just read to see that healing is clearly in your covenant, unless you've already received a lie. And if you've already received a lie, then you have to fit the Bible in that stronghold that's come against you that you've already received.

And I'll show you how that works. Is it there? Is anything sneaky about it? It's not sneaky, is it? And then out here that mind goes about 40 miles an hour trying to figure out, quit fighting to be sick. Now, verse 61, here's the curses.

And also every sickness and every plague of which not written in the book of the law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed. Now, see, when there's no powers of darkness, they're already in Africa and they can't come through the stained glass. These things are not important things.

That's why they got left out. People get wise up here. You leave out the powers of darkness.

And finally, eventually, you leave out everything. It's a spirit of God can do. You skip everything to do with the gifts.

We skipped everything to do with the deliverance. We skip everything to do with healing. We skip everything but what man can do.

So now we're coming back here. Get in on it. Amen.

So now I'm not going to have to cut out Psalms 103, 3 of them. I'll leave it in my Bible because he clearly heals all diseases. You know why I know? We just read it right here.

Now, something up here keeps saying, has God really said? He sure did, sir. You just read it. Now, but the main thing, what I don't know, does he heal today? Does he heal now? And now that's a question I need to know.

I'm glad you asked. Let's turn to Hebrews 8. Now, we're first going to compare these covenants. This is the end of side number one.

Please turn tape over for the conclusion of this tape on side two. Yes, let's turn to Hebrews 8. Now, we're first going to compare these covenants. And you know what you just looked at? You know, if you just stop and think about it right here.

Wouldn't it be very encouraging to know that God, we just read in a covenant where God healed through the blood of bulls, through the blood of goats and ashes of heifers, looking forward to the blood of Jesus. And now today, we've just got God and his blood right now. I think we might can look for maybe just a little bit more today than what they had through the blood of bulls and goats and ashes of heifers.

Okay, let's look in verse 6. Now, here are the covenants compared. Verse 6, But now he has obtained, Jesus, a more excellent ministry by as much. Now, you've got a more excellent ministry in Jesus by as much as he is also the mediator of what? A better covenant, no conditions.

Which has been enacted on what? Better promises. Here you have, right here, the covenant is compared. You have got a more excellent ministry.

You've got a better ministry, a better covenant, and better promises. Look at me. No conditions on anything.

Unless you want to receive a few up here. Hath God really said? You know, the Lord just keeps reminding me I'm going to have to go back. You know, this thing is on the video, and for some reason, the Lord wants me to go back.

You know, have you ever heard the saying then? Yeah, but God... See, always there's something up here that fights against it. That fights against it. They say, yeah, but in the old covenant, God knew they couldn't obey all the law.

So God just put it in there so they would just be disappointed. And continual despair. Well, I better clear that up, because the Lord just reminded me.

I'll just turn it loose and come on back over there. Come back to Deuteronomy. We'll see if they... What the Lord had to say about that.

Turn over to about Deuteronomy 29. Deuteronomy 29. Now, chapter 30 is where I want to go.

Let's begin looking in verse 2. It talks about you return to the Lord your God, and what? Obey Him with all your heart and soul. Now, I want to ask you something. Is the Lord asking you to do any less to that today? To obey Him with all your heart and soul? No.

No, He's not. That's what happens when you become one with somebody. You love them with all your heart and soul.

Your mind, will, emotions, and all your heart. So this was in the old covenant. But look here in verse 11.

For this commandment, which I command you today, is not to what? It's not difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. Do you see that? So when you're ever told that, you know, they couldn't do it. Let's just fight.

Let's fight. Let's fight. Let's have something against everything that God said.

Let's just fight. Well, let's go up there. Let's drop on down there.

Verse 14. You see this same thing in Romans 10. The word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may analyze it.

Observe it. See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. You can be well or you can be sick.

That's what he said. I've said it before you. And then he says, verse 17.

But if your heart turns and you will not obey the Lord, but you are what? Something's going to draw you away. And you worship brother what? That's them. And you're going to serve them.

And we'll come back to that later on. You'll see that's them. So we've dropped that in there.

It's not too difficult or out of reach to walk in covenant. Now, I want you to turn with me to Isaiah 53, please. We're going to look at that.

The prophecy through Isaiah about Jesus at Calvary. And then we're going to say in the New Testament to complete. Or we're going to look at healing for today, right now.

That's why all these people held up their hand a while ago. They were healed. They wasn't psyched up.

There's a difference. No one got out of the glory either. Seminar can't get no glory.

Seminars don't change folks' lives. Folks don't change folks' lives. The Word is what he sent to heal.

Okay. I didn't know what a seminar was until I got in one. I'm telling you the truth.

Isaiah 53, verse 4. I'm going to skip. I usually start in 52 there. And you come back and look it over.

This is Jesus at Calvary. Isaiah looking hundreds of years ahead to Calvary. Surely our griefs... Well, we just jumped right into it.

You know what that says? This is Jesus at Calvary. Surely our griefs he himself bore. That's Jesus.

What? You ever... Was Job sick? Well, if you want to go over and look and see in Job's sickness, you see it's the same way. This grief thing is used to describe Job's sickness there. All right.

Now, surely our griefs he himself bore. Now, most of your Bibles there, if you look over in your margin, you'll see it just plainly says sickness. Sure, his sickness he himself bore.

But see, we can't go to margin. So we're clear right up with something later on, can't we? We need to get some other script. So I'm going to come back there, but I won't tell you that's what it is.

Don't fight it. Look at me. You didn't get anything except through the blood.

Will you please tell me how you get anything from God Almighty except through the blood of Jesus? I want to give you a minute to think about that. Don't fight it, folks. It doesn't come.

Nothing you receive comes anywhere except through the blood of Jesus. Don't fight, Calvary. Don't fight to be sick.

Don't fight to hang in there. Don't fight to keep a stiff upper lip. Get in on it.

It's coming your way. Now, surely our sickness he himself bore. He bore everything.

Everything happened at Calvary. Of course, the most important thing that happened at Calvary is he took his sins. If he didn't take his sins, he wouldn't be in healing.

Our sorrows he carried, I receive that in Jesus' name. Afflicted boy, he didn't look like the Son of God at Calvary, did he? He sure didn't. But I tell you what, the people that look at him at Calvary right there, they saw things in the natural.

We're in a spiritual meeting right now. We're looking at what happened behind the cross. We're looking at what happened in the spiritual realm, not what the flesh and man saw.

He's smitten of God and afflicted. Five, but he was pierced through for our transgressions. I receive that in Jesus' name.

He was crushed for our iniquities. I receive that too. The chastening for our well-being fell upon him.

I receive that. And by his scourgings and by his stripes, we... What is those two words? Are healed. Will you circle are healed about three times there, please? Are healed.

All right. Now, I want you to look at me if you get that circle. Look right here.

Now, Isaiah is looking hundreds of years to Calvary, and he said, you are healed at Calvary. Calvary is a hundred years ahead, and you're healed of what? You're healed. You're healed of every need you have is met through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And that blood is Calvary. Now, let's forget some of these things in a box. Let's see what the word's saying.

Because as we go on, don't camp there, because I tell you, it's going to get stronger and stronger and stronger. I'm not stopped there. I got a lot more to say about this.

All right. Now, will you please turn to 1 Peter, please? 1 Peter. 1 Peter 2. When you turn there, I want you to look at me.

All right. You ready to look? Now, let's show yourself. I told you that Isaiah... This is Calvary, okay? Isaiah is looking hundreds of years ahead to Calvary, and he said at Calvary, that by the wounds and by the stripes of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are healed at Calvary.

Is that correct? All right. Then, Calvary took place, and Jesus... I mean, Peter wrote... The Spirit of God through Peter wrote 1 Peter 2. Is that correct? 1 Peter was written after Calvary. Is that correct? All right.

Now, may I ask you something? From what point of view are you looking at Calvary? From Isaiah's eyes, or are you looking at it from Peter's eyes? Right. Because Calvary is behind us. Is that right? This is when... Oh, Peter had something to say about Calvary.

So we'll read what Peter said. Isaiah said, by his stripes, you are healed. Now, we have the same point of view as Peter.

Is that correct? All right. 1 Peter 2, verse 24. And we're talking about Jesus at Calvary.

And he, Jesus, himself bore our sins, yes, in his body on the cross. Now, here's something that's read through real fast, folks. You're looking at covenant right in the middle of this verse.

Don't run through it. Now, get your little pencil ready that we might what? Die to sin. Isn't this interesting? We're talking about healing right here, and it says, first, you're dying to sin.

Is that right? That's what your Bible said. Don't cut it out. And then, number two, you're what? Oh, live in the right.

You know what this is all saying? You're walking in covenant. You're in the New Testament, aren't you? And then, for by his stripes, you what? You were healed. I believe that's better than are healed.

I were healed at Calvary. Now, let me ask you something. Let's look at that.

I mean, let me just say something else. At Calvary, was the whole world saved? Did he die for everybody at Calvary? May I ask you something? Is the whole world saved? They didn't come to Calvary. Oh, you see what I'm telling you? You don't get it if you don't come to Calvary and receive it God's way.

Amen? So if you don't come, if you want to have unbelief and doubt, you don't come to Calvary, you don't get healed. Hang in there. You don't have to come and receive it.

Jesus did it all. And then, you know, we sing this song. I'm not going to get in there.

I want to tell you something. Jesus is done. It's done for Jesus.

But you're still in the war. You're in a war and you walk out that door. The war goes on.

Jesus has already won the battle. But you have to get in on it. You have to get in on what he did there, Kevin.

And you don't get in on it in unbelief. You get in and believe. Now, wherever you receive now the war and the powers of darkness that we've been ignoring, what do you think they've been doing? They've been perverting.

They've been calling curses blessings, blessings curses, and twisting it around. Call darkness light, bittersweet. That's what the powers of darkness, they twist it all around.

Fear of the devil instead of fear in God. Fear of demons. Can't talk about demons.

Where all this come from? That comes from folks who are asleep that ignore the Scripture. God says, do not be deceived. Do not be deceived.

I'll warn you, and warn you, and warn you, and warn you, and warn you. That's wise in their own eyes. So you've run into another part of the Scripture that's perverted.

You're going to receive it and get in on it, or go write another book that God can't do nothing. Because he's going to do it all over this building. Hey, there's just a few.

You wait until this day is over. But if you don't believe it, you won't see nothing. You got a veil over your heart.

You will never, never, ever see it. And I'll show you why when we get through here this morning. Now, so you don't receive anything except through the blood.

Now, did you notice right there before you dropped down on being healed right there? You were healed of what? Every healing, everything that spiritually, physically, all healing is done there. Jesus is the healer. Isn't that right? But you notice something.

Did he say something there to deal with sin before the healing comes? Did he say something about sin? Oh, I just thought I'd throw that in there, because I want you to know there is sin in the church after all. Okay. And it's not much healing.

Okay. Turn back to Matthew 8, please. Praise the name of Jesus.

Matthew 8, verse 16. We're going to deal with that scripture over in Isaiah 5, 4, 53, 4. And when evening had come, they brought to Jesus many who were demon-possessed, and he cast out the demons with the what? The Word of God. He is the Word, isn't he? Well, how do we cast them out? The Word of God.

And he healed all, all, all who were ill. All of them. In order that what was spoken to Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, he himself took our infirmities and he carried away our diseases.

Any Bible you have, you'll see right there it says Isaiah 53, 4, that he has carried away our diseases. Then we want to fight and say, well, that's already been fulfilled. Let's just fight a little bit more to be set.

Let's just fight against all of it. Well, how did he heal diseases then? Because he could forgive sin. And right there, although he hadn't been to Galilee, he could forgive sin.

Are you seeing? Okay. So he took our infirmities, he carried away our diseases. Now, I want you to look with me in Matthew 9, please.

Matthew 9, in verse 35. And Jesus was going about all the cities and villages, he was teaching in their synagogues, he was proclaiming the gospel. Is that what we do? We proclaim the gospel of the King, meaning he was healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

Now, I want to ask you something. You know what we've called the name of the ministry? It's just taken part of the word. There's only one ministry, the ministry of Jesus.

That's what we're all into. But just for the sake of, until we're fitting together in a different way than what we've learned to fit together, we're calling a ministry that we're in, be fruitful and multiply. Now, let me tell you what, but this is what Adam was to do, the first Adam.

He walked in the image and likeness of God. Now, look at what I'm saying. And Jesus, the last Adam, he was fruitful.

Now, first, how you be fruitful and multiply? You're fruitful when you walk in the covenant. This is what Jesus did. He was fruitful.

How do you multiply it? You give unto others, it's getting given to you. That's to be a disciple. The Lord gives you something, you give it to others.

That is being a disciple. You multiply it. Whatever God teaches you, you teach others.

Amen? You multiply it. And so, this is how Jesus was being fruitful and multiply. Now, Jesus is being given authority right here to heal all diseases and cast out demons.

Let me talk to you about the threefold ministry of Jesus. His preach of gospel. Cast out demons.

I'm going to tell you, the whole bunch, the whole world are captives of demons. And to heal the sick and they bring sickness in the body. Now, let's don't get hung up somewhere that he said, Oh, there's sickness that's caused by a demon.

Have you heard me say that? Or did you hear somebody else say I said it? See? Then you listen closely to what I'm saying. I'm saying most everything I've ever dealt with, I'm telling the powers and darknesses behind it. So, let's don't start something new today because, you know, you just want to, don't want to deal with that because he said this or he said that.

I mean the powers of darkness bring sickness into your body. And see, when you deal with all sickness like the powers and darknesses there, I'm going to tell you what's the truth. This is the way the Word teaches you.

And I'm going to tell you what you're going to see people getting healed. But if you don't deal with the powers of darkness, you're not going to be as effective with the healing. You understand? Because that is understand.

He healed all diseases. He was casting out the demons and was only one. He could only be in one place at one time.

So what did he just do? He wants to multiply. He's being truthful. God's given him a ministry and that ministry hasn't changed.

I don't think he improved on what Jesus, God sent Jesus here for. So Jesus goes to multiply. What was he going to do? He's going to teach others to do the same ministry because he has authority to give it to others.

So he's going to make disciples. Well, you know what a disciple is? That's a little Jesus. Isn't that right? He said, the works I do, sure you do also.

Right? And greater works. So we watch him right here. Jesus can only be in one place at one time.

And then verse 1, And having summoned his ten one, Matthew 10, 1, And having summoned his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over the demons. That's the unclean spirits. That's not ego.

To cast them out and heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Now you see, what ministry did Jesus give his disciples? He gave them the same ministry that he was doing. Now I want you to know, if you're a disciple, you're a disciple.

The only thing special about these twelve disciples is the fact that they were, you know, apostles and they were in Jesus. Everything that was done to them wasn't them. It wasn't their power.

It was Jesus. What's the difference of disciple then and disciple now? It's all Jesus still, isn't it? Or was it their good works? It was all Jesus. There were multitudes of disciples beside these disciples.

And you'll find out, there's some other folks, kind of like Stephen and Philip, some laymen over there. They're doing signs and wonders, casting out a few demons and healing sick folks all over the place. Right? So don't get hung up on that twelve disciples thing.

Okay? A disciple is a disciple. Now, turn to Matthew 28. Matthew 28.

Matthew 28. All right, now. Jesus is fixing to ascend and go into heaven.

Please look at me. He's fixing to say some things. These are the last words he's going to say before he ascends and goes into heaven.

He's already been to Calvary. Do you think these words will be important? They're very important. Yes, they are.

The last words he's going to say before he ascends and goes into heaven. Sit at the right hand throne of God. And he has these disciples together.

And I want you to know, here's the last thing that he told them. As he said, before he ascends and goes into heaven. Starting in verse 18.

After Jesus came up and spoke to them and saying, All authority, all authority, I want you to watch it, has been given to me in heaven on earth. I've got it all. Now, I've already done it.

Now, here's how I want you to get in on it and get people on it. So, go, therefore, since I have all authority and I've given it to you. Go, therefore, and what? Make disciples for who? Folks, men, teachings, theology, or make disciples for Jesus.

Okay. You go make disciples for Jesus of all the world. And you go, you baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen? Is this important? Well, there's another verse there, isn't it? Huh? Well, let's go ahead and read it. Now, this is the last thing Jesus said. When you make these disciples, you, what's those first two words? Oh, you teach them.

Didn't say work them. It said teach them, right? You teach them to deserve all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, everything I commanded you. Oh, did we just read there that they told us, this is just first church, that he's just telling them, you go make other disciples so this ministry of Jesus can spread.

Now, nobody hasn't come back in another ministry, have they? He said, you go teach them everything I've taught you. Is that what you just read in your Bible? Oh. And did he just read, you go cast out demons, you heal all the sick and preach the gospel.

Is that right? That's what your Bible says anyway, right? Now, what's your other half? This or this? It says it there, doesn't it? Is it going to say somewhere later on there I was just yashing? It's there, isn't it? Don't you leave here if something's trying to keep you from saying that there. Look at it. It's right there.

Go over there, boy, and teach them to deserve all, all, all, all, everything I've taught you 12 disciples. I'm going to multiply and multiply and multiply. I'm starting with me and then you, and it goes the same ministry.

It's all in one ministry, the ministry of Jesus. All right. Now you teach them to observe everything I command you.

And lo, I'm going to be with you until the disciples and satanists say for me to leave. I'll be with you until the disciples and satanists say for me to leave. If you don't like it, cut it out.

Let's fight to be sick. I'll be with you what? Always, always, even until when? How long is he going to be with you? Have you come to the end of the age? I'm not fighting to be sick. Are you in the age in the world? Right? That's when Jesus returns.

Amen. Have God's head. Yes, sir.

Right there. No options. That's good.

I receive that Lord. I receive that as grace in Jesus name. Praise the Lord.

You know, what a precious, precious preacher turned me turned into Matthew. I mean, Mark 16, we, I wasn't going to, we don't need to use it, I know it's not supposed to be in there, but let's look at it anyway. Precious, precious pastor.

Oh, I'm telling you what, he's something. And see, he just had to fight through this like I had to fight through it, just like everybody has to fight through it. And he's pastor of a, I mean, not to especially matter, but he's pastor of a big congregation, just a precious man.

And he came up here and it just, boy, it just blessed me. And he said, no, and he named two things, but one of the things he said, the one that set me free and had me to see the healing is the fact that Jesus told him to do it after he was resurrected, after he'd gone to Calvary. Now that should set a few of you free.

I never even thought about that thing. But let me share something with you. Folks, I'll tell you something about, uh, shepherds have had a very much of a disadvantage in all our traditions because they have to unlearn more than you do.

Do you understand that? I want you to, you better be careful. Now you're a steward of God's word. And someone told me how somebody in San Antonio went down to their pastor right there and told him he's going to have to change his way.

And he's going to pay his way to a seminar. The person that did that will answer before God for that. And these kind of things happen, the powers of darkness.

And then what the powers of darkness is going to do that man, he won't get in 25 mile of this thing. He won't come to examine the word because someone's building a sermon about it. Now, I'm going to tell you what, the only thing I can claim the word now, I am responsible as a steward before God to not exaggerate, to say what God said.

I'm going to tell you right now in Jesus name, that you are a steward before God, what God's entrusted you with. And you will answer, you will answer, you read Matthew 12 very closely and you see that you'll answer for every word you speak. Now I'm going to tell you what, we're all the same.

But God has given us different stations and everything like that. And I'm not talking about compromised folks. You understand what I'm talking about? I'm just saying, brother, you better be in the spirit, the way you handle God's word.

Amen. All right. Now, in Mark 16, now we only see what Matthew had to say about it.

And here's what the spirit said to Mark's point of view. And he said to them, verse 15, go into all the world, this last thing Jesus says, and preach the gospel to all, all the world, all the creation. And he who has believed, has believed, please circle has believed, he who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved, but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Look at me. You're looking at a believer. I have believed.

May I ask you something? Have you believed? Have you believed? This next verse for you then. If you have believed. And these signs will accompany those who what? Have believed.

Good. In my name, they're going to cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues.

They'll pick up serpents. If they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them. They'll lay hands on the sick and they might recover.

Now, look here. If we're over here, we lay hands on sick and someone don't recover, we need to start moving over here to find out why they don't recover. Isn't that right? Now, let's don't cut it out of the Bible because it makes us look bad.

Let's find out. There's something we don't know. You know, I can show you a bunch in James before you get to James 5, 14 and on with all.

A bunch, volumes. You don't just pick out something and say, I'll take that. You'll take the whole counsel of God is what you'll take.

All right, now. So I want you to watch what happens. That's the last words he said.

You'll lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Is that what your Bible says? They will recover. These are what's going to follow those who have believed.

That's not to 12 disciples. It's one to go tell that have believed. Is that what your Bible says? When did it stop? Who come back and change the Bible? Verse 19.

I wish I'd been sitting in the back then. So when the Lord Jesus has spoken to them, he was received up into heaven and he sat down at the right hand throne of God. Is that where he went? Just immediately he said it.

Now, watch very closely. So what did these folks do? Did they go preach unbelief? They went to preach exactly what Jesus said to preach. And they went out and what did they do? They preached everywhere.

And what did the Lord do? He, the Lord, worked with them. He confirmed this word and by signs it followed. Now that's what you see when all these people held up their hands there being healed.

I didn't get to lay hands on them or nothing. I guess God's going to get all the glory, doesn't he? But when they go preach the word, God worked with them. He confirmed the word and signs followed.

Is that right? Now, what do you do when you don't preach the word? We have to do one of those shotgun prayers where I hope they die comfortably. And we've all done it. We've all done it.

See, and this is where the Lord leads us. Well, let me ask you something. Did he say he worked with them, confirmed the word and by signs it followed? That's how he confirms the word.

He doesn't do signs to make some man look something, does he? The signs are to confirm God's word, to make God look good. Amen? Not some man got power. Jump! Why, now, let me ask you something.

When he said that he told you to go do those things and he's fine, that when you, that you have believed and you go make disciples, they have believed, they lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover, they go cast out demons. What did he do? He went immediately to the right hand throne of God. Is that correct? Isn't that an interesting thing? I thought we read in the next verse that he worked with them and he confirmed the word.

By signs it followed. Was he able to do that from the right hand throne of God, Dad? He certainly was. Where is he right now? Oh, and he'll still work from the right hand throne of God today when you preach the word.

Say the second verse when you walk in covenant. Amen? Okay. That's good, isn't it? All right, now, we're going to look at this thing.

Turn to James. Just go ahead and turn over there. I wasn't even going to look there, but let's do it.

James 5. They said they will recover when you pray for them, right? Now, you want me to tell you the verse that goes with this? If you're bearing... All right, when you're bearing fruit for God, what does that mean? You're walking in covenant, right? You walk as in covenant with God and you ask whatever you wish and you'll heal it, right? Now, the opposite from that is to walk over... Now, listen to me. You walk over in James 4 after your own pleasure is making the name and for yourself and your ministry and everything and you lay hands on somebody and you don't get what you prayed for because your motives are all wrong. Your motives are not for the glory of Jesus.

You want your church to look good. You want you to look good. You want your denomination to look good.

You want your theology to look good. You want to look smart. So, you've got the wrong motives and so they die.

Do you see any difference? So, he said they will recover. So, what we're doing, folks, so you'll understand this, we're not really seeing the flow of healing like it's about... But it's more and more and more and more. And so, what we're moving more in the righteousness, we're moving more in the holiness of God in our walk and everything and I'm telling you what, we're on the threshold of seeing what they saw right there in Acts because we're finding out about being one.

And if you have any problem with that, I want you to think back 10 years ago and seeing where it was possible to have a meeting right here where Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Presbyterian, Catholic and everything have come together right here and don't give two cents except about Jesus right there in your hearts. Amen? Now, who do you think does that, did that? Folks, organization, the Spirit of God. That's right.

Okay. Now, 14. 14, we're in the New Testament, aren't we? Is anyone, anyone here among you what? Sick.

Now, the opposite from sick is being well. Let him call for the elders of the church, let him pray over him, anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. Now, you call for the elders, that's right.

That's the spiritual leaders. And the prayer offered in faith. Now, there's a big word, faith, isn't it? Let's don't leave it out.

Will restore. Not maybe, perhaps, or could be, but it will restore the one who's sick. The Lord will, will, didn't say might.

He's going to raise him which direction? He's coming up. And if he's committed any sins, they, there's that word will. He will be what? Well, amen.

We'll be forgiven. This concludes tape number 12. Please fast forward this tape to return it to the beginning.
