Welcome to In The Word with Milton Green, with your host, Tommy Williams. I hear a sound coming from the mountain. I hear it louder each day.

I hear a sound coming from the mountain. And it says, prepare ye the way. Prepare ye the way.

Prepare ye the way. Prepare ye the way. Hi, I'm Tommy Williams, and I want you to stay with us for this next hour as God opens up his precious word to us through his servant, Milton Green.

Milton Green is proclaiming a message of righteousness and holiness to the church today, calling the church to repentance. The author of The Cross and the Switchblade, David Wilkerson, has said that every true believer, every God-hungry minister in this nation needs to hear what Milton Green is saying. You'll see that this is a powerfully searing and searching message, yet healing and uplifting.

It will be good news to those who desire to walk with the Lord Jesus Christ with a pure heart. Now, let's get our Bibles and get In The Word with Milton Green, just as it was recorded live at a recent In The Word meeting. We'll join Brother Milton Green, already in progress.

Right here in 15, it said, Do not love the world, the things in the world. Now, let me ask you, are you hearing what this is saying? It's going to tell you why to not love the world, the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, I want you to get ready.

Here's another one for the refrigerator. If you love the world, the love of the Father is not in you. Is that what your Bible says? Unless you've said your words.

Or unless you're a Methodist. Unless you're a charismatic. Where's your heart? With a heart, man believes in the right.

Do you understand that this whole thing might be a little more serious than any of us have thought it to be? Do you ever think about that, folks? And it may be some of us have got a little light, some others have not, and you kind of know it. Well, immediately, they start talking to you about spiritual pride. They set you down right there, and then your heart gathers around a little truth, and there you count.

Perverted. See, the body of Christ, there's some of us up the road, there's some of us down the road. But God has put us here to love and help one another, folks.

The last to come first and the first to come last. We don't know anything about the flesh. Know each other ain't the flesh.

There's no big shots in it. Have you received that yet? If you don't, you're going to stay in bondage to men. You hear me? Why see man whose breath is in his nostril? Who's he? Who's man? That's just God speaking.

He can do a bunch. He's smart. Who's going to get you? That's a bunch of lies.

Who's going to get you? Who'll harm him who follows after that which is good? If anything can intimidate you, it's got you. If anything can make you fearful, it's got you. You're in bondage.

Your problems are right there. See right here where I'm pointing at? Right there is what's got you. Fear and intimidation comes from the devil.

Let me tell you something. When you don't fear God, you're afraid of everything. And when you fear God, you're not going to be afraid of anything else.

Because when you learn to fear God, you understand there's nothing else to be afraid of. Now, there's a difference between fear of God and fear of the devil. See, we've been programmed to fear the devil because we've been programmed by Hollywood and television and Inquirer.

And things like that, see. You get those kind of words, you start eating those kind of words and taking those things to heart, and the devil's got you. I want to show you something.

Boy, it's going to be a beautiful thing. Boy, I just love the Lord's Word. Isn't it something? Isn't it amazing? It's just amazing how God's Word sets us free.

Well, let's go on. It says something else here. Do not love the world of things in the world if your land loves the world.

The love of the Father is not in him. 16, for all, all, all, all, all, all, all is in the world. Now, here it comes.

The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. Who I know, who I am, and what I've done. Hey, listen to me.

You know how we've been programmed to kind of drop it on somebody just, well, I know someone's a bang. Well, I did bang this. You know, just kind of just let them know, I've got a four-bedroom for all.

Oh, my. It's time to laugh. You know what Jeremiah 10, 14 says? I'm not going to turn to him, but I just want to tell you.

It said all mankind is stupid. And devoid of knowledge. That's why we're laughing.

God's right after all, wasn't he? We just found out he's right. I mean, they make puppets out of you. So, there it is.

The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. Later on, we're going to see that that's how these three things right there that brought about the fall of Adam. Now, we run into something else.

These things are not from the world, Father, but it's from the who? It's the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. Where's it from? It's from the world. So, that's the reason it says, so it's good reason to say not love the world or things in the world, right? All right, now look here.

Watch it. Watch me right now. When I lived in the natural, that's where my heart went, and I lived after the temporal things of the world.

That's where the lust of the flesh goes to because it finds things in the world to make it something. This flesh wants to have that pride in there, so it slips a little red car on this flesh, and it's something. Slip a red coat on somebody, and it's something.

I didn't say blue, did I? All right, now, verse 17. The world is passing away, and also it's what? He said it's gone, folks. I'm telling you, all the lust is headed for destruction.

Amen? Well, it's being destroyed right now. The world is passing away, also it's lust, but the one who does what? I want you to circle that about four times. We keep running this over and over.

The one who does the will of God is the one at what? All right, now, folks, are you seeing that we're seeing people who walk after the flesh and then reaping corruption, and we're seeing the ones that do in the will of God is eternal life? Does it sound like covenant is something to walk in rather than analyze, huh? Did the Lord in all His wisdom send a book down here for us to analyze and speculate about and vote on, huh? You know, we're only going, you know, God, wondering what God's doing, we go get four opinions and take a majority out of it and do it instead of finding out what God wants, right? Okay, I'm not going to turn to it, but you're familiar with the Scripture in Romans 12, 1 and 2, it says that you make this... Let's turn to it. Turn to it there. Romans 12.

Verse 1, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living... And what kind of sacrifice? Do you know that a holy sacrifice was one abstained from the lust of the flesh? Did you see that a while ago? Did we read that in 1 Peter? Shake your head. It's not very holy when it's acting like Satan, is it? Is your body holy when it's acting like Satan? No. We present our bodies a living, holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which just is your spiritual service of worship.

Now, look at me. You make this body a living sacrifice, holding itself under God. Now, listen, folks.

You die to this so that the spirit of godliness, so God's spirit can come in, and you'll be a manifestation of God in the flesh. That is the mystery of godliness. Now, we've heard a lot of mystery of godliness, but I'm kind of making a little more emphasis in the mystery of iniquity because we understand how the powers of darkness and everything, and the sin is, right? And I'm making a little more emphasis because in temperate ages said, you leave that alone.

You know what God's saying to them right now? Shut up. And he's fixing it so we can hear. That's what he does when you witness.

He wants somebody to hear right there, and he sees their heart kind of turn to him. He tells them to shut up. So they just shut down, and a man can hear.

Are you hearing me? Now, I'll tell you that God is the one in control of everything. There's no wisdom. There's no counsel.

There's no understanding against God. And what I'm talking about here today, and I'm sharing about the powers of darkness, I'm talking about getting in on the counsel of God and God's spirit and word agree. Is that right? Now, second verse, and do not be what? Conform to the world.

We've always said, we've always seen in 1 Peter, as obedient children, not be conformed to the flesh, right? Now we're seeing do not be conformed to the world, but be what? You're going to be transformed into the divine nature by the renewing of your mind. How do you renew your mind? Boy, start planting this seed in here, folks. Now, the Lord, you start taking it to heart.

Now, don't take it up here and see how smart you can be about it. Take it in here and make it a way of life, right? And then when you take it into your heart, you eat the word, you take it to heart, it performs its work in you, because, I mean, you just... Folks in the army don't have anything to do with it. When you start coming to the Lord with all your heart, you ever see a brand new little old baby Christian and everything, and he's come with all his heart, and he don't know many scriptures or anything, but he knows all his heart.

Turn to the Lord, you watch him go out and talk about Jesus, but he can just say something, the Spirit of God just go all over somebody. See, it's not us and our intellect that's doing it. It's the Spirit of God that works with us.

That's what I tell you. The fruit of righteousness, that's walking right in God's eyes, we become a tree of life. You don't have to wait till Thursday night visitation.

I'm telling you, you can slosh all over everybody while you're getting their hair fixed. What do you think about that? See, because when you say you don't have to say too much, the Spirit of God just moves all over. He's the one that did it.

It never was us. It never was us. Now, grace is when we start finding this out.

I tell you, I get a glimpse of it, and it just does me in. That's why I got so much confidence. I know it's all Him.

I've got a lot of confidence in the Lord. I have to have. Okay.

Do not be conformed to this world, be transformed in you and your mind, that you may prove what is the what? The will of God is. And we've been reading about the will of God being opposite to the flesh, over and over and over and over, and you're going to keep seeing it over and over. Matter of fact, we're going to go into a verse later on that said, who goes to heaven? Said, many are going to come and call me Lord.

He said, I don't know you. And he goes ahead and said, the one that goes to heaven is the one that does the will of God. Now, with all the powers of darkness being ignored and left out of the Scripture a lot because of the fact that we haven't had a lot of understanding because of traditions and lies and things that's been handed down to us.

There have been some things that's perverted and wrong. That's why you go and find a church full of demons, pastor on down. Are you listening to me? So don't let something be talking to you and whisper trying to say it won't fit in a box or something like that.

I started out by telling you that the churches top to bottom are demonized. You don't have to go very far to find that out unless you are a slanderer. If you want to come to the Word of God, that's up to you.

This is God's movie. Nothing's going to stop it anyway. So now we see why the Lord says you overcome the world of flesh and demons.

You also see if you're not overcoming, they're overcoming you. Is that right? All right. Once again, I want to just tell you, when you choose fleshly sin, when you choose fleshly sin, lust of flesh, you strike back at God's right to direct your lives.

Now the sins of the flesh lead you from the will of God. Is that plain? You know, this is the kind of thing that's led us to a lot of theology, that God can't do nothing because He doesn't do things through people walking out of the flesh. So we get this stuff handed down to us and the only thing left for us to do is man.

Sounds like humanism, doesn't it? Honor men. Jesus at one time said, how can you believe when you honor one another and do not seek the honor from the one and only God? Amen? All right, the whole world is slaves of demons and sons of disobedience. Did I already tell you that? Now, if you're a son of disobedience, you can sit in a church and be a church member and be a son of disobedience.

You understand that, don't you? Okay. So the whole world lives for themselves and their flesh. They only control the powers of darkness.

I want to show you that in a word. Please turn to Ephesians 2, please. Ephesians 2. Boy, I tell you what.

I just want to tell you that I sure am enjoying being with this, with you. Boy, I'm just telling you, I'm just looking all over the place and just seeing the love of Jesus all over this place. I really am.

I'm telling you what, I praise this name. Boy, I tell you what, it's so encouraging to see people that love Jesus and His Word. Like I'm seeing.

In Ephesians 2, I want you to make yourself a little note there in Ephesians 2. You know, Amplified Bible's all right to read, the Amplified version. And this would be particularly interesting to you, to just put Amplified right there, just right under where it says chapter 2, just put Amplified Bible because later on you just want to pick this up and read it. Amplified.

In verse 1, And you were dead. Will you please circle were dead. Now, I'm going to tell you what it's talking.

You were dead before Jesus Christ became your Lord. That's what it's talking. Now, have you got it circled? Now, I want to ask you, don't get ahead of me.

Don't read over these other things because we're going to stop at several places while you're somewhere else. You're going to miss some things because we're going to look at them. And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you what? Formally walked.

Now, I want you to mark those two words, formally walked. That's the way you formally walked. Did I tell you about my formal walk before Jesus Christ became my Lord? I walked half the natural, life, the lust, the flesh.

Amen? All right, and there's something else. I formally, in which you formally walked, according to the what? I formally, according to the course of the world, which means you are not walking according to the course of the world now. Is that correct? You formally walked there.

You were dead there when you were walking that way. You're not walking there anymore. Is that what your Bible's saying? Amen? You formally walked according to the course of the world, according to the what? The prince of power there, you were dead when you was walking the course of the world and walking according to Satan, the powers of darkness, the demons.

You was formally walked there, which means you're not walking there anymore. Is that what it's saying? All right, now, there you've got the world. You've got Satan, who is the god of this world.

Now you're going to look at the gods of this world and the Spirit. That's not capitalized, is it? Will you please mark that? That's the demon spirit. That's the way you formally walked.

But the demon spirit, that is, what's that word? Now. Please circle now. Spirit, now.

It's right now. What's it doing right now? It's working. Now, what's that word? In.

Look at me. Look at me. Right out here is out.

Inside is in. Are you hearing me? This demon spirit, you formally walked. You're not walking according to the course of the world anymore.

You were dead when you was walking. You was formally walking the course of Satan. You're not walking there now.

You was formally walking according to the spirits that work in, inside of all the sons of disobedience, in church, out of church, wherever. Do you hear me? Is that plain? That's not real complicated, is it? I mean, it's right there, isn't it? Now. All right, get your big pencil ready.

Now, sons of disobedience, where do sons of disobedience walk? Sons of disobedience walk after the lust of flesh and after Satan. Amen? Then the lust of flesh is the one that follows demons. The lust of flesh follows the world.

The lust of the flesh follows the current course of this world. Is that right? All right, now in verse 3. Among them two, now that's among the sons of disobedience, we two, all what? Now, you formally walked there, we see in verse 2. Now, in verse 3, you formally lived there, which means you don't live there anymore, amen. You don't walk or live there anymore.

Is that what your Bible says? You formally lived in the what? I can't hear you. Now, look at me. Now, folks, isn't this real simple? You were dead when you had Master Satan as master of your life, and you were walking out of the course of the world after him and the demon spirits that were working in you.

They were on your land, controlled and controlled by them. Now, how are they controlled? The lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the bros of a proud life. You come into this world belonging to him.

What do you think he does to you? Now, it says you formally walked there and you formally lived there in the lust of the flesh. Are you listening to me, folks? You formally lived there in the lust of the flesh, which means you're not living there anymore. You formally lived there.

It says it over and over and over. Now, listen, if we've been ignoring the powers that are, if we start finding out a little about it in the Word, you're not going to get upset about it, are you? Because once you understand it, you understand what's been tearing your head off. And then all you have to do is just line your heart up with the Word of God and let mercy get you in grace and get under grace and get free, get your mind, will, and emotions free.

It's good. Now, verse 3, "'Among them, we too," we used to, "'all formally lived,' it means you were formally lived in the lust of the flesh. You formally lived in the lust of the flesh.

It means that you're not living there anymore.'" Is that what your Bible says? You're not living in the lust of the flesh anymore. You formally lived there. You formally walked there after the world.

"'Indulging the desires of the flesh.'" You formally was indulging the desires. Are you circling these? All right, good. We don't have to get out that wet squirrel.

"'You formally indulge the lust of the flesh, the desires of the flesh.'" Folks, is this plain? "'And of the' what? "'Whatever come in your mind or whatever desire to come in your mind right there, turn right.' Yes, sir, Mr. Satan. "'Turn left.' Yes, sir, Mr. Satan. "'Portent of duty, Mr. Satan.

Now where we go to?' Let's go over a little of greed. Let's go to the shopping center of lust a little bit. Folks, who do you think that talks to you when you go in those grocery stores and get over around that magazine counter? Why does it stop you when you're looking on those television there and make you want to stop on some old channel and just kind of camp there a little while? You're idle.

Do you notice how all the chairs point to you idle? Everything in the room points to you idle. You're the latest in the devil. What do you think those soap operas do to folks? They sure make them righteous, won't they? If you're not got anger and immorality or anything like it, you just keep letting that, just taking that stuff in your heart.

What's the word that says, "'Watch what you listen to'? You better be careful what you listen to. What if you receive a lot of unbelief? What are you going to get? What if you're talking to a harlot? It's not pure in heart. Come before the Lord.

What do you think this harlot's going to load you up with? Faith? All right, now. We too all formerly lived in the lust of the flesh and indulged in the desires of the flesh and the mind and were, and were by nature shook. You know what kind of nature it was? Have you circled nature yet? See, you've got a new nature now.

You've got a divine nature. You hadn't got the old nature. Were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

And that doesn't sound like a children of God, does it? Huh? Hath God really said? We just read it. And it says a lot more. We're just getting started.

Now, let's turn over to Ephesians 5, please. Ephesians 5. Ephesians 5. Let's, let me ask you something. Who are we supposed to be in image and likeness of? God.

Now, watch that first verse right there. Therefore, be imitators of God as beloved children. Right? Look in verse 3. Do not let immorality or impurity or greed even be named among you.

It's not even to be named among you is proper among the saints. Do you assume what kind of language? We don't walk, talk, and act like the world. Is that plain? Not even named.

Now, where I was going in verse 5, I thought I'd add those other two. In verse 5. For this you know with certainty. If God says you can know something with certainty, you think it's certain.

Either you know or you don't know. If God says you can know with certainty, do you think you can know it for certain? Here's what he says. You can know for certain that no immoral or impure person or covetous man who is an adulterer has an inheritance in the kingdom and Christ and God.

Hath God really said? Yes, sir? Verse 5. It says something real interesting in verse 6. Let no one what? Oh, God put that in there because there might be someone who would deceive you, huh? Something might deceive you. Isn't that right? Recognize the reason that got in verse 6. Let no one deceive you. Shake your head.

All right, let's see what he says about 6. Let no one deceive you with what kind of words? A lot of nice empty words for because of these things right there. Will you circle these things and run your little line up there to immoral, impure, covetous man or adulterer has idols in his heart. Because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the who.

There it is. The sons of disobedience. Therefore, verse 7, do not be partakers with them.

Is that plain? But you were formerly darkness, which means you're not darkness anywhere. When you see the light, you walk in the light as he is the light. What it wants to tell you over in John that you better walk in the light while you have the light because darkness is there to pursue you.

Who do you think that darkness is? But darkness is not blessings. You understand now that demons are not blessings. Can I just kind of drop this out here that they're curses? All it takes is one demon to have any ground in your life and you've got a curse in your life.

You understand that? All it takes is one demon. Right now. But you were formerly darkness, but now you're light in the Lord.

Walk as children of light. Now, what does it say? That word right there in verse 8 says walk. Walk.

That's your deeds. That's how you live. Isn't that right? Walk as children of light.

Now, you know, it says an interesting thing in 14. For this reason, it says, Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead. Christ is going to shine on you.

Thought I'd throw that in. I'll tell you what. Let's go back to 1 Corinthians 5. I want to look at that immoral man just a little bit.

1 Corinthians 5. 1 Corinthians 5. Verse 1. All right, now 1. It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kindness does not exist, even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father's wife. And you have become arrogant and have not mourned instead in order that the one who has done this deed, this deed of immorality, might be removed from your midst. For I on my part, though absent in the body, but present in the spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present.

In the name of the Lord Jesus, when you are assembled and I with you in spirit, with the power of the Lord Jesus, I've decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his spirit may be saved in a day of the Lord Jesus. Now, God said, get him out of there, didn't he? This man's continuing something without any repentance and everything. What does he know about the Lord? But something up here says, just love him into it.

Just love him. What kind of love is that? Love is not love until you say what God says. See, when you love him into something, you have him up there singing a special.

That's not a good example. It's not God. I'm telling you what, when you deliver this man over to Satan, he'll get his head whipped on to where he'll repent and get saved.

Oh, he's already saved? Well, let's look at verse 9. I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people. I did not at all means with the immoral people of this world or with the covetous or swindlers, with the hollers, for then you would have to go out of the world. But actually, I wrote you not to associate with any what kind of brother? So-called brother, if he should be an immoral person.

Is that plain? Now, we live in a time of compromise and everything saved that walks in front of a church house. He's a so-called brother, and I'll show you more about that. If he should be an immoral person or covetous or idolater or reviler or drunkard or swindler, not even to eat, don't even eat a meal with such a one as him.

He's refusing to repent. And the church I was in, when I came to that church, there was a man who was in the office right there, a responsibility, who was in adultery. And after I came to know a few things, I asked the pastor one day, what about that? You know, people see him, and he had that same position.

And he said, we just need to love him. And he kept his position, and when I left there seven years later, he still had that very high position in the church and still being counseled for immorality. Now, I went back home here lately, and that man's not in church.

He's married the other woman. And I believe a curse of immorality is on the church. Now, in 1 Corinthians 6, look with me in verse 9, please.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be what? When God says do not be deceived, does it mean that you might be deceived about this? Is there something you might be deceived? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, is that immoral? Huh? Okay. Neither fornicators are idolaters.

No idolaters, is that immorality, folks? All right. Nor effeminate, nor homosexuals. Homosexual, a little immoral.

Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor the drunkards, nor the rabblers, nor swinners shall inherit the kingdom of God. Is that plain? Now, that settled the homosexual question, didn't it? And adulterers, it's all the same. That's got that plain in it.

Did you hear it? They won't make it unless they quit being a homosexual. Unless they quit being, choose against being an adulterer or fornicator. It's all, I mean, whatever, you know.

I've seen, I know some precious, precious people who have been set free from that sin of homosexuality. Folks, I want to share a burden with you. Let me just kind of put something on you.

I was in a fullness conference when I had been in a church in North Little Rock, Indian Heels Baptist Church. And the Lord would just give tremendous freedom. And the pastor was at this fullness conference and he was sharing and telling about the things that the Lord had done in his church.

And this pastor was, began relating to the people how the people had been being set free from the powers that are. And what a difference, you know, it was making. And there were a lot of pastors there.

And one of these pastors, right after that meeting, he came up to Brother King and he asked him to, he just needs some help. He needs some deliverance. And my brother asked him, he said, but do you mind if I get one of these other pastors just to kind of go and we'll go back in the office and we'll just, we'll just deal with that part.

We'll tear strongholds down. And he said, well, it'd be fine. It'd be all right.

And so he got another pastor there that he didn't even know. He said, would you come and just help me pray for this brother? And they walked into an office there and they were in the office. And I was in the office right next to it and I was talking to someone.

And they got in there and this pastor began crying. And he was telling about his compulsion ever since he'd been a little child toward homosexuality. Can you have some kind of idea what kind of torment that is for you? And you have a compulsion and you're not taught to deal with it.

Now, you see, folks, where I'm coming from right here. See, while people are being offended, you know, talking about the powers that are, if something comes up, it don't fit in the box. There are people like this walking all around, you know, at least.

And he began crying. And so what the brother did, the man's repentant. Of course, he's crying.

I just cast that demon out. The man knew he's free. And that's good.

That's good not to have a homosexual demon in you. And then the man left. He came through the office and then Brother King, he came to the door there and said, Bill, will you come in here a minute? And I walked in the office and there the other pastor sat there and he was crying.

When the first pastor walked out after he got set free, the other one began crying. He said, I've got the same problem. And I cast the demon out of him.

It's an amazing thing just sitting in here right now, people that love Jesus. You know, you're not going to come and sit for three days in a word unless you're a critic and want to write a book or unless you really love the Lord. You're just not going to do it.

And many of you right out there sitting out here right now, bless your hearts. I love you. I want to tell you you can be free from that thing.

It's such a simple thing to be free. Sir, you can be free from that adultery and that compulsion, pornography. You can be free from all that temper and anger and lust.

Folks, let me just tell you something. You can be free from all of it. What do you think about that? All these things that's coming against your mind, your will, all these things, these compulsions.

You know, you've seen some of these things in your family, on your ancestors, on your mother, on your father, and you know them come down and it's just, you know, my family, on my father's side, my father's mother, you know, they call it the Lillards. And the Lillards was all so proud of their temper. You know, we always brag about our Lillard temper.

We could just throw the awfulest temper fit. It's a curse. And along with that was a curse of alcohol, the compulsion.

I'm going to tell you something. Oh, you say the sins can't be visited on the children. Those things happen.

Well, you know, that's what I used to think. Adam's sins got visited on you, didn't they? I'm going to tell you something. The Lord is so precious.

Repent. Just be repentant. Will you do that? And nobody ain't going to be put on any spot around here.

I'm going to tell you what, when we pray here Friday, and folks, I just feel that and just tell you right here, right now. There's stuff coming off of you, all over this place. You're going to be so different.

You're going to be being set free as you receive this word these three days. And on Friday. But I want you to do something.

In Jesus' name, don't just make mental assent to things. Just agree that these things are right. Turn from them in your heart and say, God, that's right.

And in my heart, I turn from them. If you've gone unforgiving, say, God, I choose with my will to love and never forgive everybody that's ever hurt me. And I'm willing to go to anyone you tell me to go to.

You show me to go to them, because I'm going to have it right in your eyes. Now, when you have that kind of attitude, folks, look out. And let me ask you something.

If you've got some of that arthritis bothering you in these things, why don't you deal with that unforgiveness? You don't have to have other arthritis. What is these things that call you when you sneeze and whatever? Allergies. That's a big, long word.

Well, it just wouldn't come, and I need to say it. Thank you, brother. Now, you see what Rick's for.

He knows all the big ones. Allergies, folks. You don't have to leave here with allergies.

Deal with the sin in your life. Receive the Word of God. Go back home without any allergies.

Is that all right? He sent his Word to heal you. Just receive it. Don't try to figure it up here.

Just get in on it. He'll heal, won't he, brother? Okay. All right.

All right, turn to Romans 6, please. Romans 6. We're going to start in verse 1. All right, now. Romans 6, verse 1. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace might increase? Did that answer your question? That's a good question.

You continue in sin that grace might increase? May it never be. God forbid. God forbid.

How shall we who died to sin? Believe me, Mark, died to sin. How will you die to sin? You'll still live in it. Is that plain? Or do you not know, verse 3, that all of us who've been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into his what? I'm going to tell you what.

When he died, we died with him. We're one. We're one.

We're hidden in him. Isn't that right? Now, this thing of grace that where you go and, you know, you just walk after the lust of flesh, folks, is not what we've been reading, is it? Matter of fact, that's what's been getting you killed. And verse 4. Therefore, we have been buried with him through baptism into what? Now, this death in order.

Now, I want you to circle in order. That is, Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we might walk. I want you to circle walk and then underline that walk in ewness of life.

Now, we were buried with him in death that we might walk. Do you understand that? You got a new walk. You walk in ewness of life.

That's in order. That's how you died to it. You walk in ewness of life.

Is that right? Okay. Now, verse 5. For if we have become united with him, is that what covenant is? When two become one? If we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we deny ourself and take up our cross and follow him. Is that right? He who wishes to save his carton is going to lose it.

Whoever loses his carton for my sake and the gospel is the one who's going to save it. Amen? All right. When you become united with him in the likeness of his death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

Knowing this, now you're going to know something right here. Verse 6. That our old man has died. You know what that's saying? Look at me, folks.

I see a couple of people not looking. Right now. See, when your heart goes to the lust of your flesh, you love this old man.

That's where you're married. You're married to this. Corruption.

You're married to corruption. That's where your heart is. But then the opposite of that, your heart believing to righteousness.

See, everything's a heart. Sinner, man. It's all this outer man.

All right, now. Knowing this, that our old man, our old self was crucified with Jesus, that our body of sin might be done away, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. If you died to sin, you're not a slave to sin, are you? Now, you understand why we possess the land? Now, see, it's many things of the flesh.

Now, I'm not saying, folks, let me stop this because, see, some of you, there might be a few who have never heard, never hear another word I say if I don't say it. I don't say everything is a demon. Just most everything.

Let me just say it. I might forget it later on and no one else. I don't say that every sickness is caused by a demon.

Just all of them I've dealt with. I can't say that. I don't know that.

And I've never said it. But because he says that he acts like all that sickness is caused by demons, I'm not going to have nothing to do with any of it. In other words, if we see a Buddhist over here raising his hands up, we're not going to praise the Lord because we don't like, we don't want to, we're not going to come over here.

Well, in other words, see, we watch people merchandise the things of God. And then we're going to be over here, and because we watch some devils merchandise the things of God, we're unwilling to come over here and line up with what the Word said because we watch some devils working, right? Folks, that's what we want to avoid. You hear? Now, let's just stay with the Word and its context and get in on it because, obviously, we're looking at some things here that's got us really messed up.

I tell you what, this is not everything, Sheriff, but I'm going to tell you this is one of the most, this is what the Spirit of God is saying to the church today. Verse 7, For he who has died is freed from sin. Verse 10, For the death that he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life that he lives, he lives to God.

Even so, consider yourself to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. We consider, we reckon ourselves dead. Isn't that right, to sin? Therefore, do not let sin reign.

I heard someone say dominate. Do not let sin dominate in your mortal body that you should obey the lust of the flesh. Do you see that? I don't want to go too fast.

And do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin. That means the lust of the flesh. Let your body be involved in the lust of the flesh as instruments of unrighteousness.

But present yourself to God, there's a living sacrifice, as those who what? Are alive. You were dead, now you're alive. Is that right? You're alive from the dead.

Amen. That's what we saw in Ephesians 2. And your members as instruments of what? Righteousness to God. In other words, the members of your body now, the eyes, ears, nose, the whole members of your body, it's used as right in God's eyes.

Not for the lust of the flesh. Now, for sin shall not be master over you, verse 14, for you're not under the law, but you're under grace. Amen.

Now, if a person's trying to come to God in the flesh there, he's under the law. And if you're led by the Spirit of God, you're not, you're free from the law. Amen.

Verse 15, what then shall we sin, because we're not under the law but under grace? God forbid. May it never be. Folks, do we see these things over and over and over and over and over? May it never be.

16, do you not know that when you present yourself to someone as slaves for obedience? Now, watch this. Now, you know that God is talking to you and the Spirit of the devil is talking to you, too. Is that correct? Now, I want you to keep that in mind when we read this verse.

16, do you not know that when you present yourself to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey? You understand that? Now, here's your choice. Either of sin, if you're a slave of sin, this results in what? Death. Or if you're a slave of obedience, it results in what? If you're a slave of obedience of the Word, right? That results in right.

Now, you've got two choices there. Is that right? All right, with your will, you're going to choose. Now, but thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, and may you were, but you're not anymore, you have become... Now, what does that say? You've become obedient from where? May I just tell you that a form of godliness is not godliness? You have become obedient from right here, your heart.

Now, a lot of this obedience works up here. It doesn't work, folks. Right here is where the obedience comes from.

But you have become obedient from your heart to that form of teaching, which is the Word and the gospel. Would you just underline the form of teaching right there? You've become obedient to the Word and the gospel. That's what he's talking about.

To which you were what? You're committed there when you make Jesus Christ Lord. When you're Lord, you do what you say. You take every thought captive to the obedience of who? And it tells you over and over and over that we're not subject to, not live for the lust of bliss, but for the what? The will of God, which is our commitment to the gospel.

Amen. Now, there are a lot of gospels today. You understand that? I'm talking about this gospel right here.

Now, verse 18, and having been freed from sin, you are now slaves of what? All right, if you're a slave of rights, you're a slave to the Word. You're a slave to walking right in God's eyes. You're taking every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus, and that's what God put it in his Bible for, so you can do it, right? Okay, now verse 22, but now having been freed from sin, we're freed from sin, we're now enslaved to God.

You derive your benefit. What is your benefit resulting in what? All right, now look here. When you walk in righteousness, folks, you are separated.

You don't look. You don't walk, talk, or act like the world. You're sanctified.

You're separated into God. You're lively stones that make up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifice except to God in Christ Jesus. You're sanctified.

That's what's sanctified. But if you walk, talk, and act like the world, what sanctification is there in that? Couldn't tell you from the lion's club. Matter of fact, the lion's club, enjoy it a little more.

Better fellowship than some of us have been in. Well, I think the Lord is changing that. All right, you've been freed from sin, enslaved to God, you derive your benefit resulting in sanctification, and the outcome of all of this is what? Is what? That's pretty good, isn't it? Now that's the results of eternal life.

Let's just read it again. But now having been freed from sin, enslaved to God, you're freed from sin, you're enslaved to God, you derive your benefit. Now the resulting of that sanctification, you're separated from the world into righteousness.

You don't look and walk, talk, and act like the world, and the outcome of all this is eternal life. Isn't it good? Now in verse 23, for the wages of sin is death. Is that plain? In church, out of church, the wages of sin is death.

Front row, platform, the wages of sin is death. God be the glory to God. You've been watching In the Word with Milton Grain sharing a portion of the teaching from a recent In the Word meeting.
