My name is Pierre Chesson, and I'm standing here in the highlands of Cape Breton, this beautiful part of God's creation that he's given to us. And this creation reminds us of the power and the incredibleness of Almighty God. And I want you to know that this God who made the mountains and the sea is a God who wants to be involved in your life, because you know that he is a divine creator.

He's also the creator of the human race. But we've created a problem. We've sinned.

We've gone against God. We've gone our own way. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

But God loves us in spite of our sin, and he wants something to be done about it. So he sent his son, Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ, the one who made these mountains that you see, the one who created the very ocean behind me, came here and became one of us, took on humanity.

And he went all the way to the cross and died there for our sins. You see, God had to deal with the sin problem in your life and mine. And so the only way he could do it was not send an angel, not come up with some kind of plan that mankind could do something about it, because we couldn't.

But he had to send his only son. For the Bible says God so loved the world, and that includes you, my friend, that he gave his one and only son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. So this incredible, powerful, almighty God, in his full love and passion, came to earth to die on a cross for your sins so you could be saved.

If you put your trust in Jesus Christ, you'll be saved. It doesn't matter whether you're living in Cape Breton. It doesn't matter whether you're living in the concrete jungle in the city.

The same Jesus Christ can save you. People travel from all over the world just to see the beauty that I'm enjoying right here. But many of you will never be able to come here.

But I can tell you this, you can come to Jesus. And if you come to him, you'll get a greater thrill than standing on this mountaintop, I can assure you, because when you trust in him, your sins are forgiven. A home in heaven is promised to you.

But the Bible tells us that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. And it even gets sweeter, not only going to heaven when you die, but the very presence of God with you day after day, whether you go through good times or bad times. There is a Savior who made promises like, I'll never leave you and I will never forsake you.

So here's a simple invitation to you today, wherever you are, believe, put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. God bless you.
