The God of the Bible Must Punish Sin

Rolfe Barnard · 52:16

The God of the Bible is holy, just, and severe, and those who refuse to acknowledge His severity will experience the consequences of their sin in hell.
In this sermon, the preacher discusses the importance of recognizing and dealing with sin. He emphasizes that sin cannot be hidden or ignored, and that God must punish sin. The preacher compares the severity of God's holy law to the concept of hell, stating that the severity of the law is experienced in hell. He also questions the state of Christianity in America, suggesting that many people do not truly know the God of the Bible. The sermon concludes by highlighting the power of the gospel of Christ as the means of salvation for those who believe.

I'm very anxious about the service tomorrow night. I know we're booking the last week of school, graduation exercises, and the spirit of the age. Ten thousand things.

But look at me now. I have started for him. Now tonight, from the God of the Bible.

Beginning at verse sixteen of Romans. For it is the power of the undefiled vein, and their image will live. In the image of the day.

In the gospel. At chapter seventeen. We have a description of what eternal life.

They had the first. And so they said they had. Wanted to have some.

To get a boo. We made some problems. Introduced the church.

Now what they didn't need to take a poll. And is. In eight to seven.

In the world. Say what? Edinburgh. Scotland.

And any other two places. Edinburgh is the ground. We have built.

And how we. Character. The new people have been running.

Each day in the paper. Message. And the seeded.

Five thousand. And when they had five thousand. Today.

You can't find. And in the name. God.

Now. The question is. What? God.

The question is. What? God. We call.

Knows. That he's kidding you. And even being.

Means more to you. Not believe in a God. Not have in a God.

Four things about the God of the Bible. That distinguishes him. From the God of church life today.

And the God. Do you know what? Princes of the. And the silliest thing.

Endless. And that his purpose. Of this sickness.

Pleasure man. Everything. Samus.

This. Church destroying. The God of the Bible.

And that kind of God. Two different people. I well know.

That church attendance. Every church in America. I know there isn't a city.

In America. That isn't losing. In church.

Lost. To the. His children.

And as a chaplain in the army. I kind of wish that. And if I tell it to you.

And I'm not a black. But I am a lawyer. Living in a different race.

Who has a God. That they can be comfortable with. And turn God's holy day.

Into the biggest. Day of pleasure and ferocity. Of all of the seven.

There's something dead wrong. One of the great. Testimonies.

Is to come back to some Bible conceptions. Of what it means to remember the. To keep it holy.

That. Ain't nice. In it's own.

And I. I cannot understand. Now we are told. That even rapine.

Is not sinful. And we're told. That God's people are going to have to almost.

Become Puritans again. To set up. An arm.

The church. That God is. Christ holy.

And that salvation. Is the making of a holy. People.

Out of Adams lost. Can make their own. Still be religious.

And we're getting nowhere. The God of the Bible. Is holy.

The salvation. Men would love. If they could be easy.

As they believe. The year. And everything.

We have. Is. Smaller than me.

We've succeeded. And you'll get a fight on your hand. Man.

Can command. The way. We preach.

That God. Can. Command men to command.

They preach. That. He speaks in evil.

But. When. Who can pray.

Men will not have that kind of a God. Men. And I've come.

And the chief of police. And I pray. That in the sun.

They were all. And the air. And that's offensive.

In his theology. It was. He never had men.

And I have. No money. Fifty.

He said. When. They.

Had. Nothing to pay. Nothing.

Nothing. He frankly. Oh.

And doesn't save any other. And confess. There.

A man. That's guilty of sin. Can get by.

There is. Sin. Must be right.

Sin. Must be dealt. With.

Sin. Will be dealt. With.

Is the interpretation. Of the thrice. Whole.

Of God. Which Paul said. Just.

If there were just. The ten commandments. I'd be different.

But the ten commandments. And the answer. Of the holy law of God.

Is spelled in a word. E double L. Hell. Is where the severity of God.

Is experienced. By men and women. I wish you'd tell brother Barnes.

I'm not satis. I'm not fixing to quit. But I'm begging.

Will we never have a. Listen. Hell. Is where.

Men. Experience. Their awful.

Superior. Violating. God's holy.

Is to have a power. And restrain. What I said in the beginning of the message.

That the one. And in the book of. To his people.

That sin. Has called. Go buy your cemeteries.

Go to your hospitals. Look inside of me. Thank God.

Be an end to that. Some of these days. I like to look in the book.

And find the answer once in a while. And one of my favorite scriptures. Is on something like this.

Never. Be less. We look.

According. To his. Promise.

On new heavens. And a new earth. Where is.

Well is right. That time is coming. And whatever God has to do.

And whoever he has to restrain. And put in his concentration. Camp.

To fix it. So. That is.

Purpose. For a new heaven. And a new earth.

And the one thing that will. Characterize. It will not be lawlessness.

And rebellion. And hell on wheels. God is going to bring that.

Or he must have to keep. An under God. Not even a God of love.

That can't hate. The absence of love for. And a God who does.

In that biography of the Lord Jesus. Thou love me. And hate is iniquitous.

Therefore. That's the Lord. Yes.

Since I've been trying to. Have the fellow.
