I wanted to share a brief thought from Song of Songs chapter 1 verse 2 beginning of Song of Songs chapter 1 verse 2 says May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth for your love is better than wine This is have you ever seen a baby is held in the arms of their mother and their father The mother and the father cannot help but kiss it and if I would use an expression in Scripture He cannot help but cover his mouth cover the baby with kisses over and over again and That's a picture of God and us at the very beginning This is not the child. This is the father and the mother covering us with kisses This is the way we were born again. What happened when you were born again the father covered you with kisses He came and ran and embraced you and covered you with kisses and often when we forget This about the father.

We must go back and see that Lord at the very beginning of Song of Songs I want to remember Lord that you are a person whose love is better than wine You've covered me with kisses over and over again That's what happens. Your love is better than wine. Don't be don't be drunk with wine Ephesians 5 18, but we continually Fill with the Holy Spirit.

That's what happens when the Holy Spirit comes into our life. The love of God is poured out Romans 5 5 The Lord the Father covers us with kisses over and over again, and that's the start of the Christian life a Baby born into this world held in the father's arms and covered with kisses But that's not the end of the love. That's a very beginning love and that's where we start Because we grow we grow in the maturity Song of Songs chapter 8 Now we see the end of this Passage of a Christian who went started by being covered by kisses to now Song of Songs chapter 8 verse 6 Put me like a seal over your heart Now I don't want to be covered by kisses now I want to be a seal over your heart and a seal over your arm For love is as strong as death and love and the jealousy of love of pure love is as severe as hellfire His flashes are flashes of fire the very flame of God Many waters cannot quench love nor will rivers overflow it if a man were to give all the riches of his house for love it Would be utterly despised.

So that's the journey for me I start being covered by kisses by my father in heaven But then God wants me to be one who says Lord I don't I will continue to go for you to be covered by you by kisses, but I want to be a seal That's a seal right here. I mean you see like you put something like this It's not really a seal, but you can get the picture. It's hard to get this out of this It's it's stamped.

It's steel and stamped on it so deeply that the Mature Christian is now saying Lord. I want to be so stamped onto your heart to know your ways Not just see your works. I want to be so stamped onto your arm as a symbol of your authority so deeply tied and Connected to the Lord that even hellfire can't separate it That's the depth of God's love for me that even if all of hell came at me I won't be separated and we don't have to face hellfire Jesus faced that for us But as God says I want to cover you with kisses in the beginning and then I want to grow you To this love where you're so deeply stamped.

God says I'm gonna have to turn up the heat I'm gonna have to turn up the fiery trials This is the way spirits are fortified This is the way That the crucified once went as Amy Carmichael said So Lord deliver me O Lamb of God deliver me from the subtle love of softenings where I've become Soft towards my strength for the Lord From not making the hard choice from easy choices from weakenings from all that dims Calvary O Lamb of God deliver me All that dims Calvary everything that puts a little darkness to the brightness of Calvary There was a day that I died George Miller said utterly died to my opinions my preferences my tastes my will I Died to the world and its approval and censure. I died to the approval and Blame of my brethren and my friends and I studied to seek the approval of God alone And that's the journey God is taking us on as he turns up the heat So show me or give me love that shows the way Give me a faith that nothing may dismay Amy Carmichael's word Give me a hope that no amount of disappointments will tire. Give me a passion that Blazes like fire Lord don't Lamb of God.

Don't let me sink to become a clod a Coward or a fool Lord rather than making me a fool make me your fuel Oh flame of God All we have is a little lamp. All we have is a little lamp and God says I don't need you to be looks The very flame of the Lord. You don't need to be we don't need to be a big fire for the Lord God just says I want a flame the flame of the Lord himself that even hellfire can't put up But it's as strong hellfire is eternal.

It's everlasting. The flame of the Lord is everlasting God says I want to grow you in this journey to where you have a love for the Lord. That is so tattooed embodied imprinted on the heart of God But even hellfire can't pull it out and that's the journey we're on So let us not be surprised when we face fiery trials.

I have this little lamp Lord. I don't need a big fire I just need a flame that will not be extinguished. So I'll die to myself I'll grow I'll take whatever comes my way.

I say Lord. I want to be a witness for you Let me offer my body as a living sacrifice Willing let me be willing to be poured out as a drink offering for Christ in his kingdom. Let him increase Let me decrease let the eternal flame of God live in my life till I'm only found in him Swallowed up in his love that's Philippines so that I may be found in him not having a righteousness of my own.

Thank God
