This sermon delves into the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, drawing parallels with Ephesians 2:10 which emphasizes being created in Christ Jesus for good works. It highlights the importance of utilizing the abilities and opportunities given by God for His kingdom's work, emphasizing accountability for how we steward these gifts. The message underscores that while salvation is not attained through works, it is evidenced by the good works we do as a result of being saved.

Full Transcript

Parable of the Talents yesterday in Matthew 25, and it's really amazing how much it's saying the same thing here as here in Ephesians 2.10, where he's saying we were created in Christ Jesus for good works. There, Jesus is talking to these three servants in their judgment day, looking at what they did with their lives, and he's saying you were given all these abilities and opportunities. What did you do with them? And that's what the Lord has done. He's created you for a certain type of work in his kingdom. It's special. Pope Commentary said we are not saved by works but unto works. Salvation, if it be salvation at all, is unto good works.
