I read in my Bible this, there is a judgment day coming, do you agree with me? There is a judgment day coming, Jesus is going to call all the nations before him, Egypt, America, all of them, and he is going to call you. God wants you to live a life where you are madly in love with Jesus Christ. Where Christ excites you, you fear him, you love him, you find him beautiful, you love him more than your family, and more than money, you love him above everything, and because of that love that spills over, with joy you seek to serve him.
Isn't that the kind of life God wants from you? Isn't it? A life of sacrifice? A life of love? What does it take to unleash this kind of life in the hearts of Egyptians in our day? It's truth, just like we find here in Hebrews chapter 1. How is a handful of Egyptians going to turn the world upside down today? Exactly the same way, by having such views of Christ that stir your soul to the depths Isn't that it? When I think of Christ crucified for me, he spilled his blood for me. That's enough to excite you to go visit someone in prison, isn't it? Or to travel from Texas to Egypt to preach about him. That's what the Bible's got to do to us.
It's got to move us. I want Christ to be real to me. I want to love him more than anything else.
I want to be amazed by Christ. I want to love him more than anything else. So that following him is not a duty.
It's a joy. Don't you want that? We've got Christ, the true God. He says God speaks to us by Christ.
And Christ is the heir of all things. And Christ created the universe. And Christ is the radiance of the glory of God.
The exact imprint of his nature. Christ is better than everything. Christ is better than comfort.
Christ is better than marriage. Christ is better than a beautiful wife. Or a caring husband.
Christ is better than money. Christ is everything. We have to think on Christ.
We have to meditate on Christ. We have to come to know Christ. When is the last time you meditated on Christ? When is the last time you meditated on Christ? And your tears flowed.
When is the last time you meditated that Christ is the radiance of the glory of God? When is the last time you meditated that Christ is the radiance of the glory of God? And you wept. You shouted for joy. How will you be willing to lay down your lives? It's when your heart and your mind pulsate with Christ.
With a love for Christ. And appreciation for what he's done for you. He loved us and gave himself up for us.
