God Used Young Apostles to Accomplish His Gospel Plan in the Early Church

Zac Poonen · 3:49

The church began with young people, and today, God wants to use young people to establish Christ's victory over Satan.
This sermon emphasizes the importance of young people in the church, drawing parallels between the young age of Jesus' disciples and the need for passionate, Spirit-filled, and knowledgeable young individuals today to build and strengthen the church. It highlights the availability of answers to all questions related to Christian living in the Bible, encouraging young people to seek and share these answers. The focus is on being examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, as outlined in 1 Timothy 4:12, to impact others and promote God's Word.

When Jesus told his disciples that they were to be his witnesses to the uttermost parts of the earth, do you know that the oldest of those apostles were really about 33? Jesus selected everyone below 30 to be his disciple. They were all young people and that is how the church began. On the day of Pentecost the apostles were all below 33.

There's a great need for young people in the church around the world today and in India. Young people who are wholehearted, radical, filled with the Holy Spirit, whose lives are pure, who know the Word of God and who have a compassion for the lost and who have a burden to build the church of Jesus Christ strong so that Satan is defeated. The purpose of the church is to establish the victory of Christ in the territory of Satan and God used young people in the first century and he wants to use young people today.

But young people have many questions which sometimes they don't get answers to from their pastors or leaders but I want to say to you there is an answer to every single question related to the Christian life, to how to live a godly life in the scriptures. Every question. There is no question that doesn't have an answer.

We need to know where to find it. So we produced this DVD with 50 questions that young people often ask in relation to sex, love, marriage and in relation to many other aspects of living the Christian life and the answers are all from the Bible. The Bible is not a book of geography or history so that we are not to find answers for such questions.

It's not a mathematics book or a science book. We're not to look here for answers to questions concerning science and mathematics because sometimes people ask what does the Bible say about this. Is it related to how to live a godly life? The answer is here.

If you want to study about mathematics and science, get a mathematics and science book. This is not the place to look for that. But if you want to be an effective servant of God, you need to know the answers to these questions that have been answered in this DVD.

So pay attention to them. Ask these questions to yourself. Find the answers and share the answers with others.

Ask God to give you understanding. Make copies of this DVD and give it out to others. We want to encourage you to do that.

We want to encourage you to promote God's Word by an exemplary life. I want to read to you 1 Timothy chapter 4 and verse 12. Let no one look down on your youthfulness but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity.

Show yourself an example of those who believe. This is the one verse in the Bible which says show yourself to be an example. And it's addressed to young people.

This is a challenge to us. You are to be an example to others in the way you speak, in your faith, in the purity of your life. And we need many many such young people all over India and across the world.

So I pray that you will be blessed as you listen to this DVD and it will change your life and make you a blessing to others.
