To find victory over sin, we must seek God with all our heart, have faith in His promises, and cooperate with His plan.
This sermon emphasizes the importance of earnestly seeking God for deliverance from sin, drawing parallels from the Israelites' deliverance from Egypt and Babylon. It highlights the need for fervent prayer, fasting, and faith in claiming God's promises to experience victory over sin and challenges listeners to diligently seek God with all their hearts for transformation.

We were trying to look at the root cause of all the sin that comes in our life. If we are as serious about being free from sin as we are serious about being free from sickness, we would become free very quickly. When we get some small sickness or some pain in our body, we are so eager to find out the cause of it.
So much money people spend nowadays to go get a check-up and test and scan on doctors. Which is good because we are serious to be free from all sickness. But I think God looks at his children to see whether you are as eager to be free from sin.
There is a law in God's dealings with man. Like I told you yesterday, God gives grace to the humble. So if you don't get grace from God for anything, it means God sees you are not humble.
In the same way, here is another law. It's found in Jeremiah chapter 29. How can we find God or find the answer to some problem we are facing? How can we find God or find the answer to some problem we are facing? To find the answer to some problem, here is a law.
Jeremiah 29 verse 13 You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. What does it mean to search with all our heart? Supposing your little boy didn't come home from school in time one evening. He is only 8 or 9 years old.
Night has come and he still hasn't come. What will you do? How eagerly will you search for him? You will make so many phone calls. You will go to the police.
You will go here, there, everywhere. You won't sleep at night till you find him. That is the meaning of searching with all your heart.
When we are as eager to find God and get victory over sin in our life. Here is a promise. You will find me.
There is no doubt. He is not saying, then I will think whether I should reveal myself to you. The Lord says, if you do this, you will definitely find me.
The Lord says, if you do this, you will definitely find me. Even in the history of Christ after 2000 years, Everyone who has sought God like that has found him. See another promise.
Hebrews 11.6 We know that faith is a very important requirement with God. Hebrews 6 Without faith it is impossible to please him. Now what does it mean to have faith? We may think, yeah, I just believe that Jesus will do it.
But look at your experience. There are so many things in your life, you believe that Jesus will do it, nothing happened. If you are honest, you will say that.
Yeah, I prayed for something, I thought I believed, but nothing happened. Then you have to say, maybe I didn't understand what faith really means. Because Jesus said, if you have faith, nothing is impossible to you.
Now here is what it means to have faith, in the same words. This is faith. That you come to God, and you believe that there is a God there.
That's the first thing. That means when you are speaking, you are not just speaking to the air. And it's not like some of these other people who stand in front of an idol and pray and nobody is listening.
When you pray, you are asking for anything. Lord, I want victory over this bad habit in my life. Number one thing you need to ask yourself is, Do you believe that there is a God there who is listening to what you are saying? Or is it just a ritual? That is why it is good that we don't rush into prayer.
You know, it's good to shut our eyes and calm our minds when we come to God in prayer. And, you know, why do we shut our eyes? You don't have to shut your eyes when you pray. God doesn't say, I'll hear your prayer only if you shut your eyes.
Do you know why we shut our eyes? So that we don't get distracted by all the things happening around us in the world. I think sometimes Jesus opened his eyes and prayed to heaven with open eyes. Because it says in the Bible, sometimes he lifted up his eyes to heaven and prayed.
So he didn't shut his eyes then. So the purpose of shutting our eyes is to cut out all the other distracting influences. We also need to shut out all the thoughts that come into our mind.
And concentrate and realize there is a God who is my father in heaven who is listening to me now when I speak. And I'm not asking for something which he has not promised. If I ask for a car, I don't know whether I'll get it.
Or if I ask for a new house, I don't know whether God will give me that. But when I ask God to save me from all my sinful habits, I am absolutely sure that he is listening to me. Because he sent Jesus to save me from my sin.
Why is it that so many believers are still defeated by their sin? I was defeated by my sin for 16 years after being born again. Because I did not seek God with all my heart. Supposing you keep on getting angry.
And you say, yeah, everybody gets angry. And you don't take seriously the word of God which says, put away all anger. And you look at all the other believers, they also get angry.
And you look at all the preachers, they also get angry. And you say, yeah, that is normal. You don't look at the word of God.
You look at all the examples, bad examples and Christians around you. Then you live at that level. It is like if you go and live in a slum.
And everybody is living in a dirty way. And you say, it is alright, I will also live in a dirty way. I don't want to live like that.
Even if I am living in a slum, I would like to keep my house clean. If they want to keep their house dirty, that is their business. I want to keep my house clean.
In the same way, if all the other Christians want to live defeated lives. That is up to them. I don't want to live like that.
Because the Bible promises me a better life. I think we are foolish. We accept the living standard of other people when God wants us to live at a higher spiritual standard.
So, faith is first of all to believe that when I pray, my heavenly father is actually there listening to me. And secondly, in verse 6, I must believe that all those who diligently seek him, he will bless them. Definitely reward them.
That is faith. That if I seek him diligently, he will never say no, if I am asking according to his will. I told you there are many things we don't know his will.
I don't know if it is his will that he should give you a new house. Or give you a car. Or give you a job with double the salary.
Many things, you may want to marry that pretty girl, but that may not be God's will. There are thousand things like that we don't know God's will. In those things we can ask, but we can't be sure that God will answer.
There are many things in my life I pray and ask, but I don't know whether God will give it. Because I don't see a clear promise in the word. Many things which are not written in the word of God, we can ask.
Because he is our father. But we are not sure whether he will give it to us. Because our father knows what is better for us.
Supposing your 12 year old son says, daddy get me a scooter, I want to drive a scooter. Will you give it to your 12 year old son? Will you buy a scooter for your 12 year old son? No. Because he knows, your father knows it is not good for you at this age, you are not allowed to drive it at that age.
So God in heaven also knows certain things are not good for us. I don't think there is any father or mother in the world who just gives anything the children ask. If there is such a father, he is a useless father.
A wise father will say no to many things the children ask. You know how even 2 year old children will say, give me that knife mummy, I want to play with it. You won't give it.
And the children will say, no I don't want all these vegetables, give me chocolate and ice cream all the time. You don't give it. Same way God, he is a more loving father than all of us mothers and fathers are.
Sometimes we ask for stupid things just like a 2 year old child asks. He answers. But the answer is no.
God answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes the answer is no. I was saying in one meeting, in my 70 years God has answered all my prayers.
They thought what a mighty man of God, whatever he asks he gets. I said no wait, let me tell you, let me explain. I said God's answer is like the traffic light.
Sometimes it's green. Okay, you can have it. Sometimes it's red.
No, you can't have it. Sometimes it is orange saying, wait, after some years I'll give it to you. So all prayers God answers.
Sometimes green light, sometimes red light, sometimes orange light. But don't say God doesn't answer prayer. Everything, it is yes, no or wait.
Everything, it is yes, no or wait. But if it is something written in the word of God, a promise. Suppose you tell your child.
Okay, when you are 12 years old, I'll get you a bicycle. And the child is waiting, waiting, waiting. As soon as he becomes 12.
He says daddy, you said you'll give me a cycle when I'm 12 years old. Now earthly father may say, but son I don't have any money now, I thought I might have money. But a heavenly father is not like that.
If he promises you something, he will definitely give it to you. One condition. You must have faith.
That is, you must believe that God will definitely give what you ask for diligently. So here is a promise in Romans 6.14. You see, we were reading 2 Timothy 2 that we must flee from sin. Here in Romans 6.14 it says how God will help me with grace to be free from sin.
Sin shall not rule you when you are under grace. He can set you free. You know, it can look impossible.
But the Bible is full of examples of God doing impossible things. See, in Egypt, the children of Israel were slaves for 430 years. They were slaves, their father was slave, grandfather was slave, great grandfather was slave.
Supposing you were like that, slaves in some country. And you go to one of those Israelites. Do you think God can free you? I don't know.
For 400 years we are living here. I don't know. But didn't God promise Abraham that after 400 years you will be free? You know there was a promise like that in Genesis 15? God gave them a time also.
God gave a time limit for that. The Lord told Abraham. Genesis 15 verse 13.
You can know this for certain. That your descendants will be strangers in a land. Where they will be enslaved for 400 years.
And then I will judge that nation. And afterwards they will come out with many possessions. I don't know if it's in Telugu.
But it says here in English. God said to Abraham, you can know this for certain. There's no doubt.
Absolutely certain. Your descendants will be in a country for 400 years. And then there will be slaves there.
They will be oppressed. But then I will judge that nation. And they will come out.
And they will come out with many possessions. They will come out with great wealth. And Abraham must have told this promise to Isaac.
Isaac would have told Jacob. Jacob would have told his children. They would have told their children and their children.
There was no Bible those days. Because the Bible was not written. But there they would have heard it coming down from generation to generation.
These slaves would have talked to each other. I remember my grandfather saying that Abraham was given a promise. That after 400 years we will get out.
And even though we are poor slaves here. We heard God told Abraham that we will come out with great wealth. Some people would have believed it.
But most people wouldn't have believed it. Even though there was a clear promise. Even though there was a clear promise.
This is exactly how many believers are. God says sin will not rule over you. Even if you are a slave for any number of years.
Here they were slaves for 400 years. Finally God set them free. But before that happened.
Before that happened. In Exodus 2. This promise was not fulfilled automatically. This promise was not fulfilled automatically.
In Exodus 2. Verse 23. Because of the bondage and they cried out. And they cried for help.
Because their bondage rose up to God. So then only God answered. It says then.
Verse 24. God heard their groaning. And God remembered what he had spoken to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
It is not that God forgot it. God doesn't forget anything. But he was waiting for his people to cry out and say.
Oh God you promised Abraham. That after 400 years we will come out. But he was waiting for his people to cry out and say.
Oh God you promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That after 400 years we will come out. What do we learn from that? What do we learn from that? That even where God gives a promise.
It won't be fulfilled. Unless you claim it and pray for it. There are many promises in scripture.
Why don't you get them? Because you don't pray like this and say. God give it to me. I know I was born again.
But for so many years I never got victory. Because I never prayed for it. I thought I will get angry.
All my life I will keep on getting angry. My lust in my mind. All my life I will do it.
Till I saw the promise. Sin will not rule over you. It's like these people here in Egypt will not rule over you.
And what did they do? They cried out. It says there was a cry in their heart for help. They said this bondage is becoming too much.
Then God heard their groaning. He said oh yes. I will do that for you.
And he took notice of them. Verse 25. And next verse.
Chapter 3 verse 1. He called Moses immediately. He was waiting for these people to cry out. Now do you know.
What did we read in Genesis 15? The children of Israel. Were promised. God told Abraham that they will be in Israel for 400 years.
But see Exodus 12. Verse 40. Verse 40.
Exodus 12 verse 40. The time that the sons of Israel lived in Egypt was 430 years. I have always thought about that.
How did God say 400 years and it became 430 years? Did God make a mistake? Or is it because God could not see the future? God sees the future up to thousands of years. How did he make a mistake about this 430 years and say 400 years? It says in verse 41. To the very day it was exactly 430 years before they went out of Egypt.
To the very day it was exactly 430 years before they went out of Egypt. So why didn't God tell Abraham that? I will tell you what I understand to be the reason. There could be two reasons.
Maybe Moses was not ready. Maybe Moses was not ready. Moses was sent to Arabia to be trained to be a leader.
I don't know the reason. Maybe he was sent there to train him for 10 years. He did not learn his lesson in 10 years.
He did not learn his lesson in 10 years. He was still very self-confident. So God waited, waited, waited.
He had to wait another 30 years. For 40 years he had to wait. So it became 430 years.
Because Moses was not ready in 10 years but ready only in 40 years. I certainly see that with many of God's children. Sometimes God wants to fulfill a work in you in one year.
Sometimes God wants to fulfill a work in you in one year. He takes 4 years. I know in my life.
God wanted to give me victory when I was 20 years old. But I finally got it only when I was about 35 or 36. God wanted to give me victory when I was 20 years old.
But I finally got it only when I was about 35 or 36. God does not want me to be defeated for 16 years. Some of you have been defeated for longer than that.
Some of you have been defeated for 30 or 40 years. Some of you have been defeated for longer than that. Some of you have been defeated for longer than that.
Even after I am born again I should be a slave to sin for 30 years. No. God is trying to do something but you do not cooperate.
And then God's purpose is delayed. That is what we learn from here. God's plan was 400 years later on that day they should come out.
But Moses is not ready. That could be one reason. He is slow in learning.
You know sometimes people go to study in medical college. In 5 years they are supposed to finish. But some people take 15 years to finish.
Is that possible to take 15 years for a 5 year course? I have met people like that. Other people have finished and become doctors long ago. These people are just playing the fool and going around with their girlfriends and all that.
And they fail and fail and fail. They are not taking their studies seriously. They are just playing around for 15 years.
And their faith is not fulfilling. God's purpose is not fulfilling in their life. Because they are not cooperating with God.
Some years ago I prayed to God. I said, Lord India has got 120 crores of people. What a huge number that is.
120 crores. 120 crores of people. Why are there so few prophets in the church in India? I don't mean preachers.
Preachers there are thousands. I mean prophets. People who have a word from God.
Like Samuel. Like Elijah. Like John the Baptist.
Like Paul. Like Peter. Why there are so few in India? It's so difficult to hear a word that comes from heaven.
And I felt the Lord gave me this answer. I have selected many young people in India to be my prophets. But they don't cooperate with me when I train them.
They don't seek eagerly to be free from sin. If they don't become free from sin, they cannot be my prophets in the new covenant. And then some of them go after money.
And they cannot be my prophets. Or some of them go and marry some wrong woman. My whole plan for their life is spoiled.
And then some of them go and join some American organization for money. So they can't become God's prophets. It's a very sad thing that India has seen so few prophets.
Yeah, there have been a few, but very very few. For 120 crores of people, there must be many more. Now you need to ask yourself.
Is it possible that God wanted somebody here to be a prophet? Possible. But you didn't diligently study the word of God. You didn't fast and pray.
You were more interested in watching movies. You were unfaithful with money. You cheated, told lies.
You went after girls and married the wrong person. And God's plan for your life is spoiled. So I am not talking to the older generation who have missed the will of God.
I am not talking to the younger generation. Supposing God wants to make you His mouthpiece. Say, Lord, I want to devote myself to the study of the word of God.
The Lord has wanted many people to be His prophets. I told you, some go after money. Some go after some woman.
And some people, when God blesses them, and begins to use them, their head becomes so big. Oh, I am a man of God. And they expect everybody to serve them and honor them.
And God puts them aside. Because when you are a servant of God, you have to become a servant of everybody. That's what the Lord told me.
If you want to be My servant, you must serve everybody. If you are a servant of the Lord, you are a servant of all men. You must not expect them to come and serve you.
You are not a Maharaja, you are a servant of the Lord. But I will tell you what I have seen in India. So many so-called God servants, they behave like Maharajas.
This person must do that and that person must do that. This person must do that and that person must do that. Wherever I go, I must get the best food.
What are you, Maharaja or servant? God sees you have got the spirit of a Maharaja, and He puts us aside. So, these are the reasons why India does not have so many prophets. So, these are the reasons why India does not have so many prophets.
Moses, God had to wait and wait. The man has not learnt his lesson. He should have learnt the lesson in 10 years.
And if he had learnt his lesson in 10 years, he would have come and Israel would have left on the dot for 100 years. Israel would have left on the dot for 400 years. That was God's perfect plan.
But it was not fulfilled. God is waiting for His man to get ready. Another 10 years, another 10 years, another 10 years, another 10 years, finally after 40 years, at last Moses is thoroughly broken and he is ready.
How do you know when a man is ready? When he says, Lord, I am useless. I am good for nothing. I am zero.
God says, now you are ready to serve God. As long as you think, I can serve God. Then you have to wait.
If you wait, then you become zero. God uses zeros. But there was another reason.
And that is, I am telling there could be two reasons. I am just telling you what I think. One is that Moses was not ready.
There could be another reason that the people never prayed. 400 years have gone by. And somebody says to another slave, Brother, do you remember what our grandfather said to Abraham that after 400 years we can go? That fellow lies down and says, Yeah, God will do it.
No, he won't do it. He will do it when you pray for him. So another 10 years goes by.
Nobody is praying. Another 20 years goes by. Nobody is praying.
30 years goes by. Then somebody thought, We better pray. And so they cried out.
Oh God, deliver us. Immediately God acted. I learned something from that.
God will do something according to his promise. God will promise only when we pray. It's not automatic.
You can be free from sin if you believe and pray, God give it to me. Pray with all your heart. That was a bad example.
God said 400 years and it took 430 years. Because they didn't pray. For 30 years they were lazy.
And they said, Oh, if it is the will of God, it will happen. If it is the will of God, it will happen. It was the will of God and it did not happen.
Because they didn't pray. It is the will of God that you should be free from your sin but you are not free from your sin. It's been 10 years, 20 years, 30 years but it's not happening because you don't pray.
At least if you start praying now something will happen. So that deliverance from the Israelites from Egypt was delayed by 30 years. So that deliverance So that deliverance Now there were two deliverances the Israelites had in the Old Testament.
One is from Egypt, after 430 years. The other is, the Lord told Jeremiah, see me read here in Jeremiah 29. See this word, we just read verse 13.
But do you know in what context he is saying this verse 13? Jeremiah told the Israelites, you are sinning and therefore God is going to punish you by sending you to Babylon. God told Jeremiah, you are sinning and therefore God is going to punish you by sending you to Babylon. Verse 4 Thus says the Lord to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
I have sent you as a punishment to Babylon. You will be slaves there, not 400 years, 70 years. And verse 10, when the 70 years are completed, I will visit you, I will fulfill my good word and I will bring you back.
Because I know the plans I have for you. But it will not happen automatically. And the Lord could have said, you remember when your forefathers were in Egypt? I told them they will be there for 400 years.
But they were lazy, they didn't pray and so they stayed there another 30 years. No, I am saying 70 years, but be careful, it will not happen automatically. At the end of 70 years, verse 12, you will call upon me and you will pray to me and I will listen to you and you will seek me with all your heart.
And you will find me and I will be found by you and then verse 14, I will gather you and I will bring you back, verse 14, into this land again. So the Lord is saying, remember what happened to your forefathers in Egypt. They thought God has promised something, it will automatically happen.
You don't be like that. When 70 years are over, you pray with all your heart and claim my promise and I will do it for you. So now we see what happened after 70 years.
There was a young man about 17 years old who was captured in Jerusalem. His name was Daniel. You read about him in Daniel chapter 1. 17 year old young man, I am sure he heard Jeremiah preach.
Jeremiah was a 50 or 60 year old prophet at that time. Jeremiah also started preaching when he was a young man. And he preached for more than 40 years.
And Daniel was a young man listening to Jeremiah. And he was taken captive. And I think Daniel stood true to the Lord because he heard Jeremiah.
Jeremiah told him, Daniel be careful, stand for the Lord when you go to Babylon. The Babylonians won't take me there, I am an old man, they don't want me. But young smart fellow like you, they will take you.
When you go there, don't eat that Babylonian food, don't worship the Babylonian idols. And even if everybody else compromises, you stand true to the Lord. Daniel, it's read, when he was in Babylon, he stood true to the Lord.
That's because of the influence of Jeremiah. And then Daniel lived there in Babylon for 70 years. And when this Daniel became 87 years old, an old man.
You read in Daniel chapter 9. He read the Bible. Daniel chapter 9, he says in verse 2, I, Daniel, observed in the books, that is the Bible, the number of years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolation of Jerusalem, namely 70 years. He read the same promise we read just now from Jeremiah 29.
And he said, hey, it's been 70 years. And now 70 years are over since I came here. Now I am 87 years old.
What shall I do? Go to sleep and say, now God will deliver us. No, no, no. He said, I know the mistake my forefathers did in Egypt.
I also read here, the Lord told Jeremiah, but you got to pray for that. So what did he do? He said, I gave my attention to the Lord to seek Him by prayer and supplication with fasting, sackcloth and ashes. And some of his friends may have come to him.
Daniel, you are 87 years old. It's not good for your health to fast and all that. And don't worry, God has promised 70 years, He'll do it.
He doesn't need your prayer and fasting. Daniel would have said, you fellows don't know God. Don't you read here? That this will happen only if you pray.
So he began to pray. Daniel also knew the prophecy in Ezekiel. Daniel was a student of the scriptures.
Ezekiel was the other prophet in Babylon. And Daniel heard him. Ezekiel was maybe 15 years older than Daniel.
He was a young man, a prophet. And in Ezekiel 36, you see Ezekiel's prophecy. Thus says the Lord, verse 24.
I will take you from all the nations and from all the lands and bring you into your own land. And verse 28, you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers and you'll be my people and I'll be your God. Then I will bring you back to the land and I will multiply, verse 30, the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field and so on.
But, there is a condition, verse 37. I will wait for the house of Israel to ask me to do it for them, then I will do it for them. If you don't ask, it won't happen.
So Daniel studied the scriptures. He saw Jeremiah said, Ezekiel said that God will bring us back. But he said I'll do it only when they begin to really earnestly ask me.
So Daniel saw the promise, prayed and he fasted and said God do it. And you know exactly like Daniel prayed, this time the king of Medo-Persia, his name was Cyrus. He was reading the book of Ezra.
In the book of Ezra you read, King Cyrus said, God has told me that all of you Israelites should go back to the land of Israel. Cyrus said, God has told me that all of you Israelites should go back to the land of Israel. In the first chapter of the book of Ezra, verse 2. First one.
In the middle. The Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus the king of Persia. Cyrus was not a believer in God.
He was an idol worshiper. But God in heaven moved his heart. Do you know that God can move the heart of a heathen king and a heathen president and a heathen prime minister? If you pray.
And Cyrus made this pronouncement, verse 2. The Lord has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a house in Jerusalem. So all you people who belong to him, God be with you, go to Jerusalem and build that house.
And all the people must support them, verse 4, with gold and silver and goods and cattle, so that they can build the house of God. I think Cyrus must have read the history books what happened to Pharaoh when he did not listen to God. It is dangerous to fight with this God.
I said we better let them go. So he called the Israelites, please go quickly, go back to your land. Otherwise we would have read about the plagues in Persia.
But that did not happen because Cyrus sent everybody away. But how did God move the heart of Cyrus? Daniel prayed to God and God moved the heart of Cyrus. That is a tremendous challenge to me.
See Proverbs 21, verse 1. Proverbs 21, verse 1. What do we read there? The king's heart is like channels of water in the hands of the Lord. The king's heart is like channels of water in the hands of the Lord. He can turn it wherever he likes.
Have you seen the rivers? If you see a river from an aeroplane, Or you see the way a river flows in a map, Godavari or any river, It never flows straight. That is all man-made canals that go straight. These rivers go like this and like this and like this.
Sometimes it is going towards the north. And then God turns it to the south. And then God turns it to the north.
And it says the king's heart is like that. He is determined to go one way. And God turns it to make it go the other way.
If you pray, God can change the heart of anybody. God can do it. You must believe in God.
He is almighty. God can do anything. If it is His will.
We don't have to fight with man. We pray to God. And God will answer it.
I remember when I was 27 years old. I will tell you a little story. About how I got married.
Now you will all be awake to listen. Now you will all be awake to listen. My wife Annie used to go to the house of worship in Vellore.
One day Brother Buxing told me. He used to call me Zechariah. I want you to pray about one sister Annie in Vellore.
And he told her also. So we both prayed. And we both felt peace in our heart.
This is God's will. But I am a full time worker. No money.
No salary. Nothing. She is a doctor.
So when she told her father. Her father said I will never let you marry this man. She told me my father says.
He won't let you marry him. So I don't blame him. I mean how many of you will give your daughter who is a doctor.
To marry some man who has got no salary and no job. So I told Annie. Let us pray.
God is almighty. King's heart is in the hand of the Lord. He can turn it wherever he likes.
Your father is going this way now. God can turn it the other way. I won't talk to him.
I won't meet him. God will speak to him. In three months.
He told her. I will conduct your wedding with this man. He never even met me.
Do you believe God can do anything? Right then when I was 28 years old. God told me I can do anything. I remember when I was 24 years old.
The Lord spoke to me. Leave the Navy. So I put in my resignation and said I am leaving.
I went to naval headquarters in Delhi. They said we have spent one lakh rupees training you. You can't go like that.
In 1964 one lakh rupees was a lot of money. It is like one crore today. We can't let you go.
I said Lord what is this? So I prayed. The Lord spoke to my heart. What did Moses do when Pharaoh said I won't let you go? He went back again.
So I applied again. Navy said no. So I did what Moses did.
I applied again. I wrote in my application all three times. Lord Jesus Christ has called me to serve him.
So now I have no interest in serving in the Navy. They kept it for two years. Then one day suddenly I got an order.
You can go. So the Lord showed me. Even the biggest person in the world's heart can turn it anyway.
But it will not happen unless you pray. Daniel prayed. God moved.
In Egypt. The children of Israel did not pray for 30 years. Nothing happened.
The Lord has said in Romans 6.14 Sin will not rule over you. Somebody prays. He gets victory.
You sit there. You read it. And you don't pray.
No, no, no. This anger is too bad. I will never get victory.
You sit there 10 years, 20 years, 30 years. Nothing happens. Because like Daniel you don't pray.
So today you must start doing something. You must say, Lord. I have seen a promise in the Bible.
Just like you fulfilled those promises for Israel in Egypt and Babylon. Where there were slaves. And you set them free.
Twice. From Egypt, from Babylon. Lord, I am also a slave.
I am a slave to anger. I am a slave to lust. I am a slave to the love of money.
I am a slave to jealousy, bitterness. I am going to pray. You set me free.
I am going to fast and pray. I tell you, it won't even take one year. God will do a quick work in you if you seek him with all your heart.
Let's pray.
