to cause bleeding, to cause blood to flow, the flow of blood the process of causing blood to flow out It may be important in translating HEB 9:22 to introduce some statement with regard to sacrifice, for example, ‘if the blood of the sacrifice did not flow’ or ‘if there was no sacrifice involving blood’ or simply ‘if there was no sacrifice,’ but because of the symbolic value of ‘blood’ in the ritual, some reference to blood should be retained.
