εἰλικρίνεια In Pretstgke 1931 (ostracon—a.D. 69) the word is written ἴκοσι : so 1932. For ἡ εἰκοστή as a tax of 5 per cent. on the rent of an οἰκόπεδον cf. P Petr II. 11 (2)4 (inid. iii/B.c ) (= IIL. p. 112) ἀπογέγραμμαι δὲ ἐπὶ τελώνιον Td οἰκόπεδον φέρον ἐν[οίκιο]ν (δραχμῶν) ιζ (ἡμισείας), ἵνα ἐκ τοσούτου φέρωμεν τὴν εἰκοστήν : see further Wilcken Osty i. p. 363 f., and for a similar succession duty see Hunt-in P Oxy VIII. p: 192.
