ἐπίλυσις. For the metaphorical sense which this word has in 2 Pet 170 see Vett. Val. p. 221° τὰς δὲ αἰτίας ἢ τὰς λοιπὰς ἐπιλύσεις μὴ ἐπιγνῷ, p. 3305 οὐ μὴν κατὰ τὴν δόκησιν τινῶν ἀμφιβόλους ἐπιλίσεις καὶ γραφὰς ἀναρίθμους περιττῶν συντάξεων.
