An interesting ex. of this somewhat rare word is found in BGU I. 16 .12 (A.D. 159 160) (= Selections , p. 84) where a priest is informed against ὡς κομῶντος [κ ]αὶ χρω [μ ]ένου ἐρεαῖς ἐσθήσεσι , on the charge of letting his hair grow too long, and of wearing woollen garments : cf. Act_1:10 .
