Ἰσκαριώτης [page 307]
Ἰσκαριώτης , a Graecized form of the Markan Ἰσκαριώθ , which Dalman ( Words , p. 51 f.) regards as equivalent to the Heb. χΐψΔιΜεΙϊ ΰΔιωΡ , though he thinks it surprising that it should not have been translated. For the form cf. Ἴστοβος = ΰΔιωΡ θεΙα (Jos. Antt. vii. 6. 1).
