Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT
καλλιέλαιος [page 318]
This NT ἅπ . εἰρ . ( Rom_11:24 ) is fully discussed by Plasberg in Archiv ii. p. 219 ff. in connexion with a Strassburg papyrus containing certain fragmentary Sayings. In one of these, C 2 , the phrase εἰς καλλιελαίαν̣ occurs, and, though the context is far from clear, the editor thinks there is evidence that the word forms part of a Saying current in Jewish-Christian circles, and may therefore have been derived from the Pauline passage. If not, both the unknown writer and Paul must have found the word in current usage.
